Final Fantasy Football Injury Report for Week 12: Brock Purdy, Alexander Mattison, Malik Nabers, Jake Ferguson and More
These are all the injuries you need to be monitoring heading into Sunday.
Quarterbacks
Brock Purdy, San Francisco 49ers (Shoulder)
After a week full of alarming reports regarding Purdy's shoulder injury, he has been ruled out for Week 12. There are also concerns that he is in danger of missing additional time as well. Brandon Allen will get the start this week against the Packers. The loss of Purdy is a significant downgrade for every fantasy option on the Niners' offense.
Running Backs
Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs (Leg)
It sounded like Pacheco had a shot to return to action this week, however, he has ultimately been ruled out and the team will give him at least one more week off before they get him back in action.
D'Andre Swift, Chicago Bears (Groin)
Swift is officially listed as questionable for Week 12 with a groin injury but looks to be trending in the right direction after getting in a full practice to close out the week. Still, this is a situation worth monitoring because groin injuries can be tricky and re-aggravate easily. If he does end up being a surprise inactive, then Roschon Johnson would likely see a heavy workload on Sunday.
Alexander Mattison, Las Vegas Raiders (Ankle)
Mattison and Zamir White both suffered injuries in Week 11 and are now both officially listed as doubtful. With both backs down, Ameer Abdullah projects to see a major increase in volume and now finds himself on the flex radar with an increased value in PPR leagues.
Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers (Knee)
Brooks is finally set to make his NFL debut on Sunday. It will be extremely interesting to see how this backfield plays out over the rest of the season. We could get a sneak peek at the long-term game plan for Brooks and the newly extended Chuba Hubbard.
Justice Hill, Baltimore Ravens (Concussion)
Hill has an extra day to get cleared from the concussion protocol with the Ravens playing on Monday Night Football and it sounds like that will be enough time for him to get cleared and back on the field after getting in a full practice on Friday.
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans (Concussion)
Spears has been ruled out for Week 12 with a concussion. This will leave Tony Pollard to handle almost all the running back touches.
Wide Receivers
Malik Nabers, New York Giants (Groin)
Nabers is listed as questionable for Week 12 with a groin injury, but says he intends to play through it. While we expect him to be out there on Sunday, this isn't an injury you should overlook.
Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Hamstring)
Despite being listed as questionable, Evans is fully expected to return to the field in Week 12 following the Bucs Week 11 bye.
DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (Hamstring)
After failing to log any practice time this week, Smith has been ruled out for Week 12 with the same hamstring injury that he's been playing through the past couple of weeks.
Ladd McConkey, Los Angeles Chargers (Shoulder)
McConkey has an extra day to heal up for the Chargers' Monday Night Football game this week. A limited practice on Friday suggests he's on the right side of questionable for the primetime matchup.
Keenan Allen, Chicago Bears (Ankle)
Allen injured his ankle in practice on Friday and his status is now very much up in the air because we don't know much about the injury. With the Bears' offense sputtering, the absence of Allen would at the very least consolidate the wide receiver targets a bit.
Rashod Bateman, Baltimore Ravens (Knee)
Bateman was unable to practice on Friday and now looks to be in legitimate danger of missing Monday Night Football. If he isn't able to go, it could be a boost for Diontae Johnson, who has all but vanished since being traded to Baltimore. However, it's more likely we just see more of Nelson Agholor.
Brandin Cooks, Dallas Cowboys (Knee)
Cooks has a shot to return from the injured reserve this week, but is also far from a lock to do so. The team could give him another week to get fully healthy after he didn't record a full practice this week.
Adam Thielen, Carolina Panthers (Hamstring)
Thielen is once again questionable this week with the same hamstring injury that landed him on the IR. The team activated him from the IR last week, which would lead us to believe that his return is imminent. Teammate Jalen Coker is also dealing with a quad injury and looks to be on the wrong side of questionable after logging a DNP on Friday.
Tight Ends
Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys (Concussion)
Ferguson has been ruled out for Week 12 with a concussion. Luke Schoonmaker will serve as the TE1 for Dallas on Sunday.
Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks (Groin)
Fant practiced this week in a limited capacity for the first time since suffering a groin injury in Week 8. This is a good sign, but doesn't assure his return. We are viewing him as a true game-time decision for Week 12.
Josh Oliver, Minnesota Vikings (Ankle)
Oliver has been ruled out for Week 12 after carving out a bigger role than many may have noticed in this offense. His absence could be a boost for T.J. Hockenson this week.
