Tony Pollard is out-snapping Tyjae Spears 22-13. 11 touches for Pollard, 5 for Spears.

Elite content from @CourtneyRCronin as always ?
@CourtneyRCronin: From Fantasy Football Now: DeAndre Hopkins (MCL) is expected to play vs. Bears as is Chicago WR Keenan Allen (heel), who has been torching CBs all preseason long. https://t.co/N54EuGRFSv

The Bears' defense had the Titans in a third-and-15 and gave up a 22-yard gain to Calvin Ridley. Pass rush was non existent.

The Bears’ wildest play of their 24-17 win over the Titans was an 11-yard completion in the red zone late in the second quarter that involved four players.Quarterback Caleb Williams threw to DJ Moore, but Titans safety Quandre Diggs broke up the pass and popped the ball high in the air. Rome Odunze fought off linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. to catch it at the Titans’ 10-yard line, then safety Amani Hooker drilled him and knocked the ball loose again. As it skittered toward the sideline, left guard Teven Jenkins of all people was right there to pounce on it.“Do I get the yards for that?” Jenkins asked.No.“What about the people who drafted me in fantasy?” he joked. “They need that.”He added, "If I didn’t get that ball, I’m sure I would’ve gotten a loaf in the loaf system. It was good that I’ve been trained to always chase the ball like that.“My first thought was, ‘Damn, I’ve gotta go swat this [thing] down,’ then I saw Rome go up for it and I was like, ‘Oh, good [stuff],’ and I’ll go push a pile or something. As soon as it knocked out, I was like, ‘Oh [shoot], I’m in the perfect position to be there because I’m already doing my job.'”It was a crucial play for the Bears, who were down 17-0 at that point and could ill afford a turnover. That’s all Odunze thought as he saw it floating.“That was crazy,” he said. “I just wanted to make sure it didn’t get into the defender’s hands, honestly. Thankfully Teven was hustling to get on the ball.”

#Bears WR Keenan Allen (heel) and standout pass-rusher Montez Sweat (toe), both of whom are listed as questionable, are both expected to play Sunday, sources say.

Update: Darrell Taylor records two sacks in the opener for the #Bears defense. Trade already paying dividends.

RT: Bears block the punt and Jonathan Owens scoops it up for six! ?: #TENvsCHI on FOX ?: atnfl.co/watch https://t.co/vJFzPGQ3se

This appears to be the Bears RB depth chart order: D'Andre Swift Travis Homer Khalil Herbert Velus Jones Jr. Roschon Johnson

Ryan Bates is in at RG for this drive. Nate Davis is standing on the sideline. Is there some kind of rotation going on?

The Bears are running out of things they can trust Velus Jones to handle, and his recurring problems with ball security cost them big Sunday against the Titans. While they rallied for a 24-17 victory, Jones’ muffed kick return late in the first quarter was part of why they had to dig out of a 17-0 hole in the first place. The ball went through his arms at his own 3-yard line, then he inadvertently booted it about 20 yards upfield into a swarm of Titans. They kicked a field goal four plays later

Bears block the punt, and Jonathan Owens takes the ball back for the first Bears' touchdown of the season. Titans 17, Bears 10 with 9:07 left in the third quarter. Daniel Hardy was credited with the block on the punt. Soldier Field has LIFE.

Why did Will Levis test Jaylon Johnson? Come on, now. Johnson gets his first interception of the season. DeMarcus Walker had pressure on the play. The Bears' defense gets their third turnover of the day.

Darnell Wright is in some obvious pain right now. He keeps shaking out his left hand.

I was watching Bears long snapper Scott Daly throughout warmups. He had good snaps to Tory Taylor while they were working on punting. Also, Taylor lined up on the 20-yard line and had a punt land on the opponent's 5-yard line. Ball rolled and immediately stopped. Fun to watch.

Even with enormous expectations of quarterback Caleb Williams, the Bears hoped to bring him along gradually and make sure they didn’t ask too much of him too soon.Theoretically, Williams doesn’t yet need to be the reason they win, and he definitely wasn’t Sunday as they wrested momentum from the Titans late and escaped with a 24-17 victory to open the season. The Bears’ only touchdowns came on defense and special teams, and their three scoring drives — all Cairo Santos field goals —

Caleb Williams had a rough debut for Chicago but got bailed out by his defense, with Tyrique Stevenson returning an interception 43 yards for the go-ahead touchdown to give the Bears a 24-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

Here are the #Bears inactives for today's game against the Titans. - Tyler Scott - Noah Sewell - Kiran Amegadjie - Zacch Pickens - Roschon Johnson - Bill Murray - Dominique Robinson With no Scott for today's game, the Bears are thin at the WR position. Keenan Allen is dealing with a heel injury. Let's see how that group holds up throughout the game. Johnson would have been the favorite to be on third down for obvious pass blocking situations. Let's see how D'Andre Swift and Khalil Herbert do in that role against a Titans front that can apply pressure on the QB.

Bears TEs: Gerald Everett: 32 snaps, 18 routes Cole Kmet: 25 snaps, 11 routes

Jaquan Brisker made the WR miss on his block in the box and got the tackle for a 1-yard gain.

Velus Jones got a carry before Khalil Herbert or (the inactive) Roschon Johnson.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze nabbed his first career catch in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans, and it will certainly be a memorable play for more reasons than one.Odunze, drafted with the No. 9 pick in April’s NFL Draft, was not the intended target of the pass from Caleb Williams, but he benefited from it anyway. After the ball hit DJ Moore over the middle and bounced into the air, Odunze camped under it, leapt up and snagged it, moving up the field before fumbling it himself.Fortunately for Odunze and the Bears, Teven Jenkins jumped on the ball to retain possession and earn Chicago a first down, eventually leading to a field goal to trim Tennessee’s lead to 17-3.This story uses functionality that may not work in our app. Click here to open the story in your web browser.
