Fantasy Football 2023 Draft Coverage: Must-Draft Players Rounds 6-10

Mark Morales-Smith Jun 14th 2:45 PM EDT.

After going through Rounds 1-5 yesterday, we are going to go through the next five rounds of fantasy drafts based on current ADP and let you know the guy you need to be drafting. These guys' ADPs are almost too good to be true.

Take a look at our ADPs throughout draft Season. Practice on our Mock Draft Simulator and utilize the Draft Genius for Draft Day.

Must-Draft Players

Round 6

Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs

The past few years and the inability of Clyde Edwards-Helaire to sustain any kind of consistent fantasy value seems to have scared fantasy owners away from the Chiefs backfield. It wasn't all that long ago that CEH was being drafted ahead of Jonathan Taylor as a rookie simply because he was the RB1 in Kansas City. Let us not forget that this is the same offense that turned Damien Williams into a league winner just a few short years ago. Now you are able to get the team's clear-cut RB1 in the sixth round. While this backfield was predictably a bit of a mess last season, Pacheco had clearly taken a stronghold on the starting job by the time we hit Thanksgiving. Despite being stuck in a three-headed mess for the first half of the season, Pacheco still finished as an RB3 last season and popped on film over the back half of the year. His speed and tough running are noticeable and he should only build off an impressive end-of-season run in 2023. We are predicting a breakout campaign from the second-year back as he rushes for over 1,000 yards and scores double-digit TDs.

Round 7

Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars

Engram quietly put together an outstanding season in 2022 finishing as the TE6. He looked like the guy that we had all expected him to be in New York for so long. However, he had burned us all so many times before that it now feels hard to accept just how good he was. Nevertheless, he is the real deal and he needs to be taken seriously as a legitimate top-five TE in 2023. He and Trevor Lawrence have a real connection and there were stretches when he took over and dominated for your fantasy team last year. In four games in December last season, he caught 31 of 40 targets for 367 yards and three TDs. That ridiculous stretch included the first two rounds of the fantasy playoffs. Engram is currently being undervalued being drafted as the TE8 in drafts.

Round 8

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

Tua is another guy that needs to be taken seriously as a guy who is a real threat to finish the top five at his position this season. Take advantage of the fact that injury concerns are currently driving his value down as he's being drafted as a fringe QB1 just behind Daniel Jones, which is inexplicable. When Tua was healthy last season he was a sure-fire QB1 and MVP candidate. He also has the best wide receiver corps in the NFL led by Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. In just 13 games last season he finished with 3,548 yards and a TD:INT ratio of 25:8. Now in his second season in Mike McDaniels system he has a real chance to push 5,000 yards and 40 TDs if he can play 17 games. You may have to draft a backup QB a bit earlier, but he is well worth the risk this late.

Round 9

Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings

This is a tough call between Mattison in Jamaal Williams in the ninth who are currently going back-to-back based on their ADP. We have been very high on both all offseason going off the assumption that Dalvin Cook would be cut and Alvin Kamara would be suspended. We were right about Cook and it's still just a matter of time with Kamara. The difference being Cook isn't coming back so there is no looming date for someone to return and take away a big chunk of his touches. Mattison is and will be the RB1 in Minnesota all season as long as he stays healthy. Fantasy owners have been waiting for him to get a real shot for years as he has shined when Cook has missed time. Now still only 25 years old with just 404 carries on his legs, he'll get his shot at fantasy stardom and you need to be scooping him up every opportunity you get if he's falling this far.

Round 10

Chigozziem Okonkwo, Tennessee Titans

Okonkwo was a guy we were in on early last year. Maybe even a bit too early, but it looked good once he popped. He became a big play machine once November hit last season and put together an impressive rookie season. Over his final 10 games, he had a reception of at least 20 yards in six games and at least 40 yards in three of those. He has the athleticism to become one of the next superstar tight ends in the league and is in a situation where he has a shot to be the top target in this offense. If you're looking for the next George Kittle or Mark Andrews, look no further. This kid has the upside to be that good. We wanted to highlight him here and will continue to highlight him over the course of the offseason and preseason.
