Welcome to my weekly FAAB report article for Fantasy Football. Every week I am going to go over my favorite additions at the WR and TE positions in both shallower leagues and deeper leagues and tell you how much FAAB you should be spending and why.

Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Shallow Leagues (10 and 12 Teams)

WR Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts

Downs is continuing to see more and more targets, and he had a long TD catch in Week 7. With gunslinger Gardner Minshew at QB now, the Colts are going to toss the ball around more than they were with Anthony RichardsonThis only adds to Downs’ value, and you should be making him a priority add at WR this week for 8-11% of your remaining budget.

WR Wan’Dale Robinson, New York Giants

The second-year wideout is explosive with the ball in his hands and his snap count and target share have gone up each and every week. Any production from a Giants WR this season is a big deal, as they have been so bad throughout most of the year. The problem here is that he has looked good with Tyrod Taylor; we don’t know how he will look with Daniel Jones. He is worthy of a bid, but keep it small in the 2-4% of your FAAB range.

WR Rashid Shaheed, New Orleans Saints

Shaheed saw eight targets in the Week 7 loss to the Jags and has proven to be a big-play WR even when he doesn’t see a lot of targets. The Saints haven’t run the ball well this season but have had success throwing it. Although Shaheed is the fourth option in the passing game, he is worthy of an add in leagues where you start three WRs and two flex players. Spend 3-5% of your remaining FAAB.

TE Dalton Kincaid, Buffalo Bills

Kincaid had been very quiet for the most part this season, but in Week 7 he established himself as a legitimate weapon in this Bills offense. He is available in shallower leagues because he’s been so ineffective, but he could be poised to have a big second half of the season. If you have had inconsistencies from the TE spot, make sure to add Kincaid this week and feel free to spend 15% or more of your remaining budget.

Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Deep Leagues (14 and 16 Teams)

WR Jalin Hyatt, New York Giants

Similarly to the situation with Wan’Dale Robinson, we can’t be sure if Hyatt will continue to be featured when Daniel Jones returns, but with Tyrod Taylor in Week 7, Hyatt saw some targets/deep shots and made some impressive plays, something we haven’t seen much of from the Giants WRs this season. In your deeper formats, look to add the rookie for 4-6% of your remaining budget.

TE Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is purely a 16-team league addition. With Mike Evans' ability to go over the top and Chris Godwin being a reliable possession WR, Otton is seeing softer coverage and providing Baker Mayfield with a nice option in the middle of the field. The Bucs struggle to run the football, so they’re forced to air it out, which could also benefit Otton. He hasn’t had a big week yet, so don’t spend a lot of FAAB, but 1-3% of your remaining FAAB is fine.

WR Demario Douglas, New England Patriots

The 2023 season has been really ugly for the Patriots, especially on offense, but Douglas seemed to get more involved in the offense in Week 7, which was also one of the only good games from QB Mac Jones this year. It might be worth putting a bid on Douglas in case he establishes himself as an option in this offense. Kendrick Bourne still appears to be the number-one guy, but Douglas could become the number-two WR in the offense. It's worth a gamble for 1-2% of your remaining budget.
