Week 13 QB Player Prop Bets: Sam Howell, Jordan Love and Justin Herbert
Discussing some player prob bets for quarterbacks for week 13 of the NFL season.
Week 13 of the NFL is nearly here, which means the fantasy football regular season is winding down and postseason is nearing. Sadly, your team’s season could be over before you know it.
With that in mind, and still being a lover of all things football, let’s start turning our attention to some player prop bets you could be making in case your fantasy football fun is over.
We’ll kick off this series with the quarterback position.

Sam Howell Prop Bets
Howell has enjoyed quite the season, primarily because the Washington Commanders’ defense has been terrible and he’s had to pass to keep his team in games.
Howell has only failed to reach 200 passing yards in two games. He’s got a touchdown pass in all but three contests and has multiple touchdowns in five contests. Howell has completed 20 or more passes in all but three games - with two of those games at 19 completions.
FantasySP’s player prop bet rankings has Howell as a popular name, as he’s hit the over far more often then he hasn’t in most prop bets.
Howell and the Commanders have the Miami Dolphins in week 13, and considering Miami’s high-powered offense, Howell could again be asked to pass a bunch to keep Washington in it. It’s an average matchup for Howell, with the Dolphins’ defense allowing opposing quarterbacks to average 23.4 completions, 34.3 attempts, 235 yards and 1.5 passing touchdowns.
Passing Yards Prop. Attempts are hard to predict, so let’s focus in on his completions, yards and touchdowns. His average passing yard line for week 13 is 272.5. It’s a big number for sure, but Howell has also hit the over in his last six contests. Howell has topped that particular mark seven times, including four of the past five games. Verdict: Over 272.5 yards.
Passing Touchdowns Prop. His passing touchdown line is 1.5. As mentioned before, it’s a mark Howell has gone over five times this season and the mark the Dolphins’ defense is allowing this season. Verdict: Over 1.5 passing touchdowns.
Pass Completions Prop. His pass completion average line is 27.5 for week 12. Howell has reached that mark eight times this season, including the past five contests. With Washington needing to pass a lot in this contest, I like Howell to rack up plenty of completions. Verdict: Over 27.5 completions.
Jordan Love Prop Bets
Love looks like he’s turned the corner after a rough stretch of games. He’s thrown for over 200 yards and at least one touchdown in each of the past five games.
Love has topped 200 passing yards in all but three games this season. He’s thrown a touchdown in all but one game. Love has reached 20 completions in all but three games. The first-year starter has thrown interceptions in six games, including three weeks with multiple picks.
The Green Bay Packers’ quarterback has a tough matchup ahead against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs’ defense surrenders an average of 19.3 completions, 31.3 attempts, 196 passing yards, 1.2 touchdowns and 0.6 interceptions to opposing QBs.
Passing yards prop. Love’s passing yard line average is 231.5. He’s reached 232 yards in six of his 11 games and has hit the over for this stat in five straight games. Those games weren’t against the Chiefs though, and I see Love being held in check most of the game. Verdict: Under 231.5 passing yards.
Interception prop. Love’s interception line is set at 0.5. The Packers’ QB hasn’t thrown a pick in the past two games, but had a stretch of eight picks in five weeks earlier in the season. I see Love struggling more than in recent weeks, and making at least one poor throw. Verdict: Over 0.5 interceptions.
Passing touchdowns prop. Love’s passing touchdown line is set at 1.5. Love has tossed two or more touchdowns six times this season, including each of the past three games. The Packers have had a tough time running the ball, and scoring on the ground, so I like Love to have to pass a bunch in the red zone. Verdict: Over 1.5 passing touchdowns.
Justin Herbert Prop Bets
Herbert has been solid all season for the Los Angeles Chargers. He’s thrown a touchdown in all but one game, and has multiple touchdown passes in six contests.
Herbert has topped 200 passing yards in all but two games. He’s reached 20 completions in all but three games.
The Chargers have the New England Patriots in week 13. That’s a tougher matchup on paper for Herbert, as the Pats’ defense allows QBs to average 22.7 completions, 34.3 attempts, 236.6 yards, 1.2 touchdowns and 0.6 interceptions.
Passing yards prop. Herbert’s average passing yard line for week 13 is 258.5. He’s topped that mark six times, but hit the under five times in this stat over the past eight weeks. I also think Herbert has a tougher day passing this week. Verdict: Under 258.5 passing yards.
Passing touchdowns prop. His pass touchdown line is set at 1.5. Herbert has hit that mark in six contests and two times over the past three weeks. I like Herbert to connect on a couple big throws in the end zone. Verdict: Over 1.5 passing touchdowns.
Interceptions prop. Herbert’s interception line is at 0.5. He’s thrown picks in five games this season, including two of the past three weeks. New England didn’t intercept a pass last week, but had picks in its previous five contests. I see Herbert throwing at least one pick this week. Verdict: Over 0.5 interceptions.
