Fantasy Football Week 3 Injury Report: Justin Herbert, Joe Mixon, Michael Pittman, George Kittle and More
All the latest injury updates on all the top fantasy options.
Quarterbacks
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers (Knee)
The Packers are still holding out hope that Love has a real shot to play in Week 3 well ahead of his initial timetable to return. If he's active, it will be a significant boost for all the pass-catchers in Green Bay. He should still be considered very questionable. We are taking a "we'll believe it when we see it" approach and are anticipating Malik Willis making a second straight start.
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (Concussion)
Tua has been placed on injured reserve after suffering another concussion and will miss at least four games. Skylar Thompson has been named the starter for Week 3. The team also signed veteran QB Tyler Huntley.
Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers (Ankle)
Herbert told reporters that he suffered a high-ankle sprain in Week 2. He is listed as questionable and is considered to be a game-time decision. An already bad passing attack will be non-existent if he isn't able to give it a go.
Running Backs
Joe Mixon, Houston Texans (Ankle)
Mixon has been officially listed as doubtful for Week 3 with an ankle injury. He's not going to play this week. His backup Dameon Pierce has also been ruled. It's going to be Cam Akers' backfield on Sunday. Akers is a very interesting streaming option for your flex spot.
Kenneth Walker III, Seattle Seahawks (Oblique)
Walker has been listed as doubtful for this week and will not suit up against the Dolphins. Zach Charbonnet will get another start and should see a bell-cow workload.
Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins (Chest)
After a positive start to his week, Mostert is listed as doubtful and is going to miss his second straight game. Jeff Wilson has been cleared to suit up and will likely serve as the primary backup to De'Von Achane.
Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans (Ankle)
Spears is dealing with an ankle injury but looks to be on the right side of questionable for Week 3. If Spears isn't able to play, it will be a big boost for Tony Pollard.
Wide Receivers
A.J. Brown, Philadelphia Eagles (Hamstring)
Brown has been ruled out for Week 3 and is in real danger of missing Week 4 as well. DeVonta Smith should thrive with Brown out. This is a tough loss for Jalen Hurts. There is no one else on the Eagles who can come close to matching his skillset.
Deebo Samuel Sr., San Francisco 49ers (Calf)
Samuel popped up with a calf injury this week and has now been ruled out for the game. Jauan Jennings is the next man up at wideout. Brandon Aiyuk could also see a spike in targets with a rare opportunity to play as a clear top option in San Francisco.
Keenan Allen, Chicago Bears (Heel)
After failing to practice all week, Allen has been ruled out for Week 3. It's not yet clear what this passing offense is supposed to look like, but Rome Odunze has been cleared and could see more targets in this one.
Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (Hamstring)
It's looking like Higgins is going to make his season debut this week. He's still listed as questionable so he's not completely out of the woods just yet. Nevertheless, it sounds like he'll be out there.
Jordan Addison, Minnesota Vikings (Ankle)
Addison has been ruled out and will not suit this week due to an ankle injury. Jalen Nailor will continue to see an increased role in his absence.
Michael Pittman, Indianapolis Colts (Back/Calf)
It raised alarm bells when Pittman didn't practice on Friday and was said to be dealing with multiple ailments. However, he is not expected to be in danger of missing any time. Still, this is a situation worth monitoring.
Tight Ends
George Kittle, San Francisco 49ers (Hamstring)
In another brutal blow to the Niners, Kittle is going to miss Week 3 with a hamstring injury. His absence probably just means even more usage out of Jordan Mason.
Evan Engram, Jacksonville Jaguars (Hamstring)
Engram hasn't been officially ruled out for Week 3 yet, but things seem to be trending in that direction. We should know more about his status as we get closer to the game.
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns (Ankle)
Njoku has been ruled out for Week 3 and will miss at least one more week. However, there is a good chance he will miss additional time beyond Week 3.
