Fantasy Football Rankings: Top-10 Dynasty Quarterbacks | Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jayden Daniels, C.J. Stroud, Justin Herbert and More
Morgan provides his top-10 dynasty quarterbacks in the middle of the 2024 NFL season.
It’s time for another dynasty-focused fantasy football article. This week, I wanted to start a new series, where I provide top-10 dynasty rankings for each offensive position (quarterback, running back, wide receiver and tight end).
We’ll start with the quarterback position, and hit the other positions as time passes.

1. Josh Allen
Allen is my top dynasty quarterback right now, narrowly taking the top spot. He’s 28 years old.
He’s enjoying another good season, and has cut down on his turnovers in a big way. There were concerns that Allen wouldn’t be able to produce without many proven pass catchers on the team, but he’s put those worries to bed.
Allen is a good bet for 30+ touchdown passes per season, and if he can now stick at or below 10 interceptions too, he’s going to put up monster fantasy numbers as a passer. He isn’t going to tally 15 rushing scores a season (like he did in 2023), but adding at least 500 yards and 8+ touchdowns on the ground seems doable. That dual-threat ability is what makes Allen such a great fantasy player, and I don’t see any reason why he’d slow down anytime soon.
2. Lamar Jackson
Jackson has already won MVP twice, and might be on his way to his best season yet and MVP No. 3. He’s 27 years old, but will be 28 before this season ends.
He’s usually not a big-time passer, but is on pace for over 4,500 yards, 41 touchdowns and just three interceptions. Jackson is also on pace for more rushing yards than he had in his 2023 MVP season.
The only reason he ranks behind Allen is because this is the first time we’ve seen a really special passing season from Jackson. If he can replicate his passing success next season, I’d have no problem moving him in front of Allen. Either way, Jackson is a great dynasty QB to have.
3. Jalen Hurts
I struggled to name my No. 3 dynasty quarterback, but eventually settled on Hurts. He’s turned things on the past several weeks and is only 26 years old.
He’s on pace to match most of his passing numbers from last season, but finish with a lot less interceptions. Hurts is on pace to crush a lot of his previous bests as a runner.
As you can see, these dual-threat quarterbacks are who to target in dynasty leagues, and Hurts is another great one, especially being a bit younger. He might give you a little more fantasy value in the long run as a result.
4. Jayden Daniels
Daniels has been fantastic in his rookie season, and looks like the next big dual-threat fantasy QB. He’s 23 years old.
If I were to revisit these rankings in the offseason, there’s a chance Daniels climbs even higher. With only basically half of the season of play in, I don’t want to overreact, but he sure looks like the real deal, and should only improve with time, and as the Commanders surround him with offensive talent.
Daniels has been a better passer than I expected. The nine passing touchdowns don’t jump out, but the 68.7 completion percentage and just two interceptions do. He’s on pace for nearly 800 rushing yards and seven or so scores, showing just how dynamic he is. The sky's the limit for this kid.
5. Patrick Mahomes
Mahomes hasn’t looked quite like himself this season, but the Chiefs keep winning and that’s all he cares about. The reason he ranks so high in dynasty formats is because he’s 29 years old and looks to have another decade or so of greatness remaining.
Even in a “down” season, Mahomes is on pace for over 4,000 passing yards. I expect his passing touchdowns to increase in the second half of the season and for him to get 30 or more most seasons. He’s not the runner the first four quarterbacks are, but he does add a few fantasy points per game.
Sure, maybe Mahomes isn’t the best fantasy quarterback most weeks, but he’s still a better-than-average option and someone you can trust for the next several seasons. That’s exactly what you want from your dynasty QB.
6. C.J. Stroud
Stroud has fallen in my dynasty rankings a bit this season. He’s still just 23 years old and has an extremely bright future though.
Injuries to pass catchers around him have made life difficult on Stroud, but he’s still on pace for over 4,000 passing yards. He hasn’t taken the step forward in the passing touchdown department that I expected, but I still believe that’s coming down the road. He’s been a bit more involved as a runner this season, and could maybe be a QB to add 300 or so yards and a couple scores per season.
I’m keeping an eye on Stroud, but I'm not really too concerned about him. It could be a time to buy a bit lower on him.
7. Joe Burrow
The Bengals don’t look like a playoff team, but it hasn’t been because Burrow has had a bad season. He’s still just 27 years old, and is a great dynasty option moving forward.
He’s on pace for over 4,500 passing yards and over 40 touchdowns, while being comfortably under 10 picks. As long as Cincinnati can keep a good receiver or two around him, those are attainable numbers every season. He doesn’t add a ton as a runner but having over 200 yards and a couple scores per season also seems doable.
Burrow probably should be higher on the list, but like many others, I worry about his health in the long run. That, and an uncertain future for the pass catchers around him makes me drop him to No. 7.
8. Jordan Love
Love ended the 2023 season hot, but hasn’t found that form yet in 2024. Injuries have played a role in that for the 26-year-old QB.
Even despite missing a couple games, he’s on pace for about 3,500 yards and just under 30 touchdowns. Interceptions have been a problem, and will be something he needs to clean up. Love hasn’t been nearly as involved in the running game this season, although his injuries are certainly playing a role there.
Like in the case with Stroud and Burrow, there's little things that I’m worried about with Love, but I still view him as a good/great fantasy starter for the next several years. Those couple question marks could again make him a bit easier to attain in a fantasy trade.
9. Kyler Murray
Murray has looked pretty good in his first full season back from injury. He’s just 27 years old still, and has a pretty bright fantasy future.
He’s on pace for about 3,500 yards, but just 20 or so touchdowns. Murray has done a great job of limiting picks, which helps offset some of the lower passing totals. He’s back to being a good running threat too, and that dual-threat ability gives him more fantasy value too.
Murray is a sneaky good dynasty option in my eyes. Not only is he a dual-threat fantasy player, but the Cardinals keep surrounding him with young and talented offensive players, which will make bigger fantasy games attainable as the group gels together.
10. Justin Herbert
In his first season with Jim Harbaugh, Herbert has been a pretty average fantasy QB. He’s been trending up of late, and is still just 26 years old, so his dynasty value is still very strong.
He’s only on pace for about 3,500 yards and 20 touchdowns, but he’s also only thrown one pick so far. Herbert looks to be getting more and more comfortable in the offense. He doesn’t add a ton as a runner, but a couple hundred yards and scores per season seem achievable.
He ranks a bit lower now than a few years ago because he’s part of a more run-centric offense. I think he’ll remain a good weekly fantasy starting option, with room for growth as the offense expands over the years.
