One of the most fun things about gambling on the Super Bowl is the unique and exciting novelty props.

These are bets they only pull out for the Super Bowl because of the magnitude of this game and the volume of money placed on it. To go along with all the props we focus on here, you can even bet on things like the length of the National Anthem and if there will be a scorigami. The length of the National Anthem is usually an over/under bet while a scorigami is a unique score that has never occurred in the NFL and you can pick yes or no.

We will focus on our favorite novelty prop bets to wager money on this Sunday. We will also make our picks to help you win some money. Some of these props are simply a guessing game, however, we will give you some important insight and predictions on the ones that are not, along with guessing along with you on things like the coin toss.

Coin Toss

This is a simple novelty prop and easily the most popular. There are two different betting options. You can bet on whether the coin will land on heads or tails, and you can also bet on which team will win the coin toss.

You can look at all the research and trends with this prop bet that you want. At the end of the day, it's a 50/50 guess. Nothing more, nothing less. So just go with your gut on this one.

The Bet

Tails (+100)
Philadelphia Eagles (+100)

Gatorade Color

Again, this is a prop bet I've extensively researched far more than any normal human should. However, like the coin toss, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what color Gatorade the teams have.

It certainly doesn't correlate with the color of a team's jersey, which is a mistake many bettors make with this bet. However, this is a rare occurrence when we get a team in the Super Bowl that has won back-to-back Super Bowls. In their past two Super Bowl victories, Kansas City has dumped purple Gatorade on their head coach. It's hard not to just roll with that evidence.

In case you were wondering, when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2020, the Gatorade was orange.

The Bet

Purple (+425)

Doink

This is my personal favorite Super Bowl novelty prop. The "doink" bet is a bet that a field goal attempt will bounce off the uprights.

I throw a few dollars down on this every year and it makes field goal attempts infinitely more exciting. This is also a fun one to hit because everyone will get excited despite it being such a silly thing to bet on.

The Bet

YES (+550)

Who will the Super Bowl MVP Thank First?

This one is pretty self-explanatory - you are betting on who the Super Bowl MVP will thank first when conducting his MVP interview or speech.

Usually, God is the odds-on favorite to win this one, and is when it comes to Vegas odds. However, the best indicator of future behavior is past behavior, and like the Gatorade prop, this is a bet that has had the same winner in each of the past years.

Patrick Mahomes has been the MVP in both games and in both instances immediately thanked his teammates. The Chiefs are favorites to win the game, the winning QB is always the favorite to win the MVP, and that makes Mahomes the most likely to win the MVP in this game. There is only one pick to make here.

The Bet

Team/Teammates (+160)

Octopus

An octopus is when a player scores both a TD and the following two-point conversion. It has the same rules as an Anytime TD Scorer, so a QB passing TD does not qualify here.

This is a fun one because rather than a yes or no option, individual players have their own odds. There are two players who stand out as potential likely octopus scorers.

One of them became the first ever to score an octopus in the Super Bowl the last time the Chiefs and Eagles faced off in the big game. Jalen Hurts accomplished this feat last time he was in the Super Bowl and of course, Saquon Barkley can't be overlooked on this bet either. This is one you can win some decent money on as well.

The Bet

Jalen Hurts (+2700)
Saquon Barkley (+2000)
