Take the ball away — again. The Bears are the second team all season to force four turnovers in each of their past two games. If they do it for at third-straight time, they’ll become the third team in 15 years to pull off such a feat.It’s foolish to presume the Bears can take the ball away four times Sunday at Soldier Field, but even getting two of them would be the edge they need against a Lions offense that is far more explosive than that of the Bears.2. Make Justin Fields more productive. The Bears had their quarterback throw 13 screens against the blitz-happy Vikings, giving him career lows of 2.4 air yards per pass and 1.9 air yards per completion. That likely won’t happen again. The Bears need to let Fields throw down the field against a Lions defense that since Week 7 has been the third-worst in football.3. Give David Montgomery a rude homecoming. The former Bears running back, who signed with the Lions this offseason, ran 12 times for 76 yards and a touchdown and caught two passes for 22 yards in their first meeting last month. In Montgomery’s first game back at Soldier Field as a member of the Lions, the Bears need to contain him. The Bears allow 3.4 yards per carry, the second-lowest mark in the NFL.

When the Lions selected Aidan Hutchinson with the second overall pick, there were high expectations for him from the start. As a rookie, he didn’t let anyone down. During his first season in the NFL, he had 52 tackles, 9.5 sacks, nine tackles for loss and three interceptions.

The Bears took a 26-14 lead with about four minutes left, then squandered the game with mistakes on their way to a 31-26 loss.The Lions lead the NFC North and are in line for the conference’s No. 3 seed in the playoffs at 9-3. They are two games ahead of the Vikings and Packers in the division and could officially eliminate the 4-8 Bears with a win.Quarterback Jared Goff has been hot since his three-interception game against the Bears. Over the last two games, a loss to the Packers and a win over the Saints, he combined to complete 65.2% of his passes for 545 yards with four touchdown passes and no turnovers for a 108.7 passer rating.
Midway through the second quarter of the Week 14 game in Chicago, Lions rookie tight end Sam LaPorta hauled in a 13-yard reception. That catch pushed LaPorta over the 700-yard mark for the season and it also pushed the Lions into the NFL record book.
LaPorta and RB Jahmyr Gibbs became the first rookie tandem from those positions in NFL history to each gain 700 yards in a season. Gibbs also eclipsed the 700-yard mark earlier in the game with a 36-yard run.

When linebacker Alex Anzalone went down with a thumb injury two weeks ago, there were a lot of questions surrounding the player that was going to step up in his place. Some had thought it was going to be Derrick Barnes and others thought it was Jack Campbell. When Jack Campbell’s name was brought up, there was some hesitation with some fans.
He was a rookie that was playing with hesitation and was missing tackles in previous games. But most importantly, he had big shoes to fill. Trying to replace Anzalone is tough to do in this Lions defense. He’s an experienced player that comes from this defensive system during his days with the New Orleans Saints. Meanwhile, Anzalone leads the Lions with 87 tackles this season
Most weeks, the Detroit Lions inactive player list includes multiple defensive tackles. Not this week, not against the Chicago Bears.
With top DT Alim McNeill on injured reserve, the Lions have all DT hands-on deck at the ready in Week 14. Isaiah Buggs, Levi Onwuzurike and rookie Brodric Martin, all of whom have been healthy scratches in recent weeks, are active.
