Falcons defensive lineman Grady Jarrett disrupted the Carolina Panthers’ offensive possession in the second quarter of Sunday’s Week 6 matchup. On the first down handoff, Jarrett met the ball carrier in the backfield and brought him down for an eight-yard loss.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense had been struggling all season to find consistency. They had been dealing with injuries all season long, and the hope was that the defense everyone saw shut down Jayden Daniels in Week One would return.
As it turns it, it may have in Week 6.
The injuries to Calijah Kancey and Antoine Winfield Jr. sometimes caused the Bucs’ defense to play lost. This was capsulated by Kirk Cousins’s 500-yard passing performance against them last week. The Atlanta Falcons suffered their first injury against the Carolina Panthers in the first half of Sunday’s NFC South matchup. Safety Micah Abernathy appeared to injure his knee just three minutes into the first quarter.
According to team reporter Tori McElhaney, Abernathy has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday’s contest. Atlanta will likely look to defensive backs Richie Grant and Kevin King to help fill in for Abernathy.

The Atlanta Falcons finally took the lead in their Week 6 matchup against the Panthers thanks to a crucial Kyle Pitts catch and run to flip the field. The fourth-year tight end hauled in a 52-yard reception in the second quarter, which set up a seven-yard touchdown run by running back Bijan Robinson.

As expected, starting outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney will not suit up for Sunday’s divisional clash against the visiting Atlanta Falcons.
