Underdog Fantasy NBA Basketball Pick 'Em Props (12/20): Jalen Brunson, Ja Morant, Jordan Poole & More!
Underdog is back with their Pick ‘Em bets for the NBA season. We will be going over the best bets for tonight and help give you the edge to make some money this and every Tuesday night. This should be a fun slate of games so let’s take advantage of some great odds.
Jordan Poole, Golden State Warriors (26.5 Points)
Poole is averaging 19 points per game this season. Since Steph Curry got injured, he has played two games and has scored 72 points. The loss of Curry has clearly led to the statistical ascension of Poole who has shown to be the beneficiary on the stat sheet. This offense completely revolved around Steph and Poole is now forced to pick up this roster. Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are far from what they used to be, and Andrew Wiggins is also injured. So, it’s Poole out there doing most of everything.
The matchup isn’t ideal as the Knicks have an above-average defense allowing the 13th-fewest points in the NBA. Still, the matchup seems irrelevant because Poole is the option they have to roll with to put up points. It may not help the Warriors in the win column, but he should still put up close to 30 points if not more.
The Pick: Higher 26.5 Points

Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks (30.5 Points + Assists)
Brunson is as solid a guy as you will find in the NBA and has been unbelievably efficient in December. This month he’s shooting 43.4% from the field, 51.5% from three, and 94.1% from the free throw line. His minutes were a bit down earlier in the month, but they have climbed back up over the past three games, leading to two 30-point games. He’s averaging 6.2 assists on the year, so in a plus matchup he should be able to hit this mark.
The Warriors’ defense has fallen off a cliff this season as they are allowing the sixth-most points per game this season and the loss of Wiggins is a tough blow for them. They are also 19th in defensive rating and middle of the pack when it comes to allowing assists. With the injuries they are currently dealing with all those numbers drop off even further.
The Pick: Higher 30.5 Points + Assists
Mitchell Robinson, New York Knicks (18.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists)
Robinson has been playing well as of late and there is another thing the Warriors are bad at, rebounding. They are allowing the eighth-most rebounds per game to their opponents and Robinson is averaging over 10 rebounds per game this month. He’s hit this total in three of his last four games and scored double-digits twice during that span. Any assists he gets are essentially just an added bonus. We expect him to tack on about two in this game. We are projecting him to post a line of about nine points, 12 rebounds, and two assists in this one. That’s on the conservative side.
The Pick: Higher 18.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls (35.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists)
DeRozan has been playing great lately and this number hasn’t been an issue for him. He’s cleared this bar in five of his last six games mostly with ease. The matchup with Miami is tough but we’ve already seen him play the Heat this year. All he did was score 37 with nine assists and six rebounds. DeMar has scored at least 27 in five of his last six games and is averaging 5.0 assists and 6.6 rebounds this month. He’s been efficient this year shooting over 50% from the field and over 89% from the free-throw line. This may not be an easy mark for him to clear against the Heat, but he should still clear it.
The Pick: Higher 35.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies (37.5 Points + Assists)
Morant is good enough to explode in any matchup but hasn’t been playing well as of late. His biggest issue has been his ice-cold shooting from the field. Over his past three games, he has shot a total of 18 for 51 from the field and two for 18 from three. His totals were down in his last game because he was ejected, however, in 16 minutes, which is about half his average minutes per game, he only put up six points and two assists. As a matter of fact, he hasn’t hit this total in any of his last four games. Going back even further he’s failed to reach this number in six of his last seven games. Even with a decent matchup against the Denver Nuggets who are middle of the pack allowing the 14th-most points per game this season, you are better off betting against Morant until he shows he’s turned it around and can post these numbers with regularity.
The Pick: Lower 37.5 Points + Assists
