Fantasy Basketball Recap for January 27 and Waiver Wire Options: Christian Braun, Dillon Brooks, Anthony Black, Kel'el Ware, Isaiah Collier and More

Looking over some of the better fantasy basketball performances from January 27 to maybe identify some waiver wire options.

I’m going to switch things up a bit today. Instead of the usual fantasy basketball waiver wire story, I’m going to go game-by-game and identify some of the top fantasy performers.

We’ll focus on players who would be available on the waiver wire, not fantasy stars. Let’s dive right in!

Rockets 114, Celtics 112

Dillon Brooks had a monster game to help the Rockets take down the Celtics. Brooks, who is rostered in 39% of leagues, was 13-of-23 overall and 10-of-15 from 3-point land to score 36 points. He also had three rebounds and a steal across 40 minutes.

Boston’s Payton Pritchard, who is rostered in 80% of leagues, went for 15 points, four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 30 minutes.

Luke Kornet had 18 points, seven rebounds and one assist, steal and block across 33 minutes.

Kings 110, Nets 96

Keon Ellis delivered 11 points, one rebound, two assists and blocks and three steals in 30 minutes off the bench. He’s rostered in 18% of leagues.

Day'Ron Sharpe, owned in 4% of leagues, had 12 points, 10 rebounds, one assist and block and three steals in just 23 minutes off the bench.

Bulls 129, Nuggets 121

Chicago’s Dalen Terry tallied five points, seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 13 minutes off the bench. He’s barely rostered in any leagues.

Lonzo Ball, owned in 38% of leagues, posted 18 points, four rebounds and a steal and block across 24 minutes. 

Ayo Dosunmu, available in about 48% of leagues, tallied 17 points, two rebounds, assists and steals and one block across 34 minutes.

Patrick Williams was also good for the Bulls, tallying 11 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal across 28 minutes off the bench. He’s owned in just 9% of leagues.

Denver’s Christian Braun, who is rostered in 83% of leagues, posted 28 points, five rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block across nearly 33 minutes.

Lakers 112, Hornets 107

Josh Okogie, who is rostered in 12% of leagues, posted 19 points, two rebounds and assists and four steals in 25 minutes off the bench for the Hornets.

Josh Green had 15 points, one rebound and assist and three steals across 33 minutes. He’s owned in just 4% of leagues.

Cavaliers 110, Pistons 91

Max Strus, owned in 16% of leagues, finished the night with 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one steal and block across 26 minutes.

Ty Jerome had 15 points, two rebounds and three assists across 23 minutes off the bench. He’s rostered in 28% of leagues.

Marcus Sasser, barely owned in any leagues, went for 11 points, five assists and one steal across 18 minutes.

Malik Beasley, rostered in 69% of leagues, totaled 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 22 minutes.

Mavericks 130, Wizards 108

Klay Thompson, owned in 75% of leagues, posted 23 points, three rebounds, four assists and one block across nearly 24 minutes.

Spencer Dinwiddie added eight points, three rebounds, nine assists and two steals across 26 minutes. He’s rostered in 45% of leagues.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper, owned in barely any leagues, totaled 20 points, five rebounds and one assist across 24 minutes off the bench.

Bilal Coulibaly finished with 16 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals and blocks across 29 minutes. The Washington forward is owned in 64% of leagues.

Heat 125, Magic 119 (2OT)

Kel'el Ware, who is up to 80% owned, posted 19 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and one block across 42 minutes.

Duncan Robinson had 15 points, three rebounds, four assists and three steals across 45 minutes. He’s available in about 69% of leagues.

Nikola Jovic, rostered in 55% of leagues, had 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists and steals across 46 minutes off the bench.

Tristan Da Silva, owned in 6% of leagues, had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists across 33 minutes.

Anthony Black went for 14 points, one rebound, three assists, five steals and one block across 42 minutes. He’s rostered in 16% of leagues.

Wendell Carter Jr., owned in 43% of leagues, totaled 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists and one steal across 35 minutes.

Goga Bitadze, rostered in 67% of leagues, went for 10 points, nine rebounds, two assists and one block across 22 minutes.

Timberwolves 100, Hawks 92

Jaden McDaniels recorded 10 points, eight rebounds, two assists, four steals and one block across 33 minutes. He’s owned in 82% of leagues.

De'Andre Hunter, owned in 75% of leagues, tallied 35 points, two rebounds and one assists across 31 minutes off the bench.

Keaton Wallace started and played 34 minutes, tallying 13 points, three rebounds, seven assists and two steals. He’s rostered in about 5% of leagues.

Clint Capela, available in about 25% of leagues, went for 10 points, 15 rebounds, three assists and one steal and block across 21 minutes off the bench.

Knicks 143, Grizzlies 106

Precious Achiuwa, rostered in just 3% of leagues, totaled 14 points, three rebounds, one assist, four steals and two blocks across 20 minutes off the bench.

Miles McBride played 23 minutes off the bench. McBride, owned in 6% of leagues, had 14 points, four rebounds and assists, three steals and one block.

Suns 111, Clippers 109

Grayson Allen, owned in 36% of leagues, posted 18 points, six rebounds and one steal and block across 27 minutes off the bench.

Royce O'Neale, rostered in 16% of leagues, had 11 points, two rebounds and four steals across 25 minutes.

Los Angeles’ Derrick Jones Jr., owned in 20% of leagues, went for 12 points, five rebounds, one assist and block and two steals across 31 minutes.

Raptors 113, Pelicans 104

Bruce Brown, available in about 80% of leagues, recorded 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists and three steals over nearly 29 minutes off the bench.

Bucks 125, Jazz 110

Khris Middleton, owned in 79% of leagues, totaled 22 points and three rebounds and assists across 27 minutes off the bench.

Taurean Prince, rostered in 6% of leagues, had six points, four rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 32 minutes.

Isaiah Collier, rostered in 41% of leagues, recorded 12 points, two rebounds, eight assists and three steals across 27 minutes.

Brice Sensabaugh, owned in 8% of leagues, had 17 points, one assist and two steals in 15 minutes off the bench.

Keyonte George came off the bench and played 31 minutes. George, owned in 84% of leagues, went for 15 points, four rebounds, five assists and one steal.
