Cason Wallace Fantasy Outlook
Wallace is down 7% today, bringing his total mark to 38%. He injured his knee in the team's last game, and is not going to play on Friday.
Seeing his own percentage, it's no surprise that fantasy owners are looking elsewhere for help.
Wallace has averaged 7.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.5 blocks per game over 27.4 minutes in 36 starts and 54 games this season. That's enough fantasy production to roster him in deeper leagues, but not if he isn't on the court.
He'll likely be back on the waiver wire pickup list when he's healthy again.
Kai Jones Fantasy Outlook
Jones is down 5.5% and sitting at 19% rostered now. He also is dealing with an injury, and is going to miss his second straight game on Friday.
Jones recently signed with the Mavericks and was great in his lone game with the team. In 34 minutes off the bench, Jones had 21 points, eight rebounds and one block.
He got added in a bunch of leagues after the performance, but hasn't seen the court since. Like in the case with Wallace, Jones has some deep-league fantasy value when playing, but if he's not, there's not much reason to roster him at all.
Al Horford Fantasy Outlook
Horford is down 4% today, bringing his total to 39%. He also did not play in his team's last game, so it makes sense why his own percentage is dropping.
Horford has been a good fantasy player over his past two appearances though. On March 2, he had 19 points, eight rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes before tallying 12 points, nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 31 minutes on March 5.
Horford has deep-league value when active, but he's not valuable enough to keep rostering if he's missing games here and there. Stream him if you have a need.
Jusuf Nurkic Fantasy Outlook
Nurkic is down 4% also today, and now at 51% owned. His production has dropped over the past couple games, so it makes sense to see him trending down. Oh, and he's also on the injury report with a back injury, so fantasy owners are deciding to move on.
Over the past two games, in which he's logged 27 total minutes off the bench, Nurkic has totaled seven points, 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal and block.
In seven total games with the Hornets, Nurkic is averaging 6.9 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 1 block across 17.4 minutes. There's enough there for some deep-league utilization, but after what we've seen in the past two games, I think his own percentage needs to keep dropping.
I personally think he should be rostered in 50% of leagues or less the rest of the season, but his somewhat big name will likely have him higher than that.
Donovan Clingan Fantasy Outlook
Clingan is down 3.7% today, bringing his total mark to 51%. He's been an inconsistent performer of late, so it makes sense to see his own percentage falling.
He's scored in double figures just twice over the past eight games. Clingan is averaging 7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.5 blocks across 20.9 minutes in that span.
On points and rebounds alone, Clingan has some deep-league fantasy appeal. His inconsistency is tough to navigate though.
I don't like the idea of dropping him in too many more leagues, but instead maybe just benching him against tougher matchups. Start him against favorable opponents for the time being and hope the rookie can up his production in the weeks to come.
If improved play doesn't come, I'd look at some other fantasy options.
Other Dropped Players
Aaron Gordon is down 2.9% today, bringing his total to 75%. He's also dealing with an injury right now.
Kyrie Irving is down another 2.8%. He's out for the season, so he can be safely dropped in all redraft formats.
Gradey Dick was dropped in 2.5% of leagues, and is down to 36% owned. Shocker here, but he's dealing with an injury too.
Toumani Camara is down 2.4% and sitting at 87% rostered now. He's had a couple lower production fantasy outings over the past two games, but could go right back on the waiver wire pickup list with a big game.
Luke Kennard is also down 2.4% - he's at 18% rostered. He scored two points in his last game, so it's easy to see why he's being dropped.
Richaun Holmes is owned in 21% of leagues after a 2.3% drop. He's working through a knee injury.
Norman Powell (97% overall), Bilal Coulibaly (64%) and Ty Jerome (65%) are all down 1.9% today. Powell is dealing with a hamstring injury, while Coulibaly has just 14 points over his past two games. Jerome has 28 points over his past two games combined, so him being dropped is more fantasy owners realizing there's better options available in their leagues.
Jeremy Sochan is down 1.8% and owned in 60% of leagues now. He scored two points in his last game, so he's being dropped after that.
