Week 10 Trending Waiver Wire Pickups & Projections:Â Add The Electric Justin Fields!
We are past the midway point of the NFL season after the Baltimore Ravens defeated the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football to wrap up Week 9. Despite being without some of their best offensive players such as Mark Andrews and Rashod Bateman, the Ravens pulled off the victory. One of last week’s waiver wire gems, Isaiah Likely, hauled in the first touchdown of the game. Kenyan Drake, another Week 9 waiver wire gem, finished with a two-touchdown performance. Unfortunately, Andrews, Likely, and Drake owners will have to find another option at tight end and running back this week with the Ravens entering their bye week.

Last week was the bye week blues with six high-powered offenses sidelined. This week, fantasy managers only need to manage four teams on bye – the New England Patriots, New York Jets, Baltimore Ravens, and Cincinnati Bengals. Once again, many fantasy relevant players won’t be active in Week 10.
New England Patriots
New York Jets
- RB Michael Carter Jr.
- WR Garrett Wilson
- TE Tyler Conklin
Baltimore Ravens
- QB Lamar Jackson
- RB Gus Edwards
- RB Kenyan Drake
- WR Devin Duvernay
- TE Mark Andrews
- TE Isaiah Likeley
Cincinnati Bengals
- QB Joe Burrow
- RB Joe Mixon
- WR Ja’Marr Chase
- WR Tee Higgins
- WR Tyler Boyd
- TE Hayden Hurst
With four solid teams on byes in Week 10, it will be important to pinpoint a few options on the waiver wire in case you need a new starter or two.

Looking At Week 10 Fantasy Football Predictive Adds:
[predict="add-2022-10"]
QB Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
Fields had the game of his life in Chicago’s heartbreaking loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 9. Although the second-year signal-caller threw for just 123 yards, he tossed three touchdowns with no interceptions and logged a ridiculous 178 yards on the ground and an additional trip to the end zone. Fields has combined for seven touchdowns and zero interceptions over his last two games and has produced a rushing score in three consecutive outings. While the Bears season is likely over, Fields is clearly coming into his own. He’s emerged as a top-10 quarterback in the fantasy football landscape. Although he is owned in over 75% of leagues, he’s still available on 24% of league waiver wires. Go add him now, especially if you need a Week 10 replacement for Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson.

New York Giants DEF/ST
At this point of the season, the waiver wire is chalk-full of empty promises and duds. For that reason, many fantasy owners are prioritizing streaming the best available defense as we gear up for Week 10. The 6-2 New York Giants have a Week 10 date with a Houston Texans offense that could be without their top two receivers in Brandin Cooks and Nico Collins. Dameon Pierce has shined in Houston’s running game this season but the G-Men allow the sixth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. If the Giants can shut down Houston’s running game, they can start to pressure Davis Mills and make things difficult for the young quarterback. New York’s defense is the reason that they have six wins on the season and this week they get perhaps the easiest test they’ve had all season outside the Carolina Panthers. Savvy fantasy owners are doing the right thing by trying to stream the New York Giants in Week 10.
New Orleans Saints DEF/ST
Despite the fact that the Saints gave up 27 points to a depleted Baltimore Ravens offense last night, the Saints are being streamed the second-most behind the New York Giants at the defense position. In Week 10, the Saints take on a reeling Pittsburgh Steelers offense that has done next to nothing this season. Najee Harris has been a complete bust. Chase Claypool has been sent to the Chicago Bears. Diontae Johnson hasn’t done nearly what he was expected to do and Kenny Pickett clearly needs to learn some things if he wants to be the longterm solution at the quarterback position for this franchise. George Pickens has been a revelation but New Orleans has a very strong defense. Pittsburgh is currently allowing the third-most fantasy points to opposing defenses this season. New Orleans should own this matchup in Week 10.

Tennessee Titans DEF/ST
The Titans are coming off a disheartening 20-17 overtime loss to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite playing without Ryan Tannehill, Malik Willis almost led the Titans to an upset victory on the back of Derrick Henry. Tennessee only allowed 17 points to the high-powered Chiefs in regulation and they get a much juicier matchup in Week 10 against the 3-5 Denver Broncos. Denver’s offense has been a mess all season. Russell Wilson has been unable to get on the same page as his pass-catchers and Javonte Williams suffered a season-ending injury, putting a sifnificant hault to their lethal running game. If the Titans play just as well as they did on Sunday night against the Chiefs, they could completely shutout the woeful Broncos in Week 10. It makes sense that fantasy owners are targeting the Titans as a streamable defense in Week 10.
TE Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears
Kmet now has recorded 19 receptions for 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns on the season. However, all three of his touchdowns have come in the last two weeks. Justin Fields is getting his accuracy down and the big tight end has benefitted from his quarterback’s increased accuracy and awareness. Kmet hauled in five-of-six targets for 41 yards and two trips to the end zone in Chicago’s Week 9 loss to the Dolphins. It was encouraging to see both Kmet and Darnell Mooney have productive afternoons. Even when Justin Fields runs all over the opposing defense, Kmet will still see plenty of targets in the red zone. He remains Fields’ top option in the end zone. If you need a replacement for Andrews or Likely or Hurst, Kmet could be your guy.

TE Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos
Another tight end being added at a dramatic rate is Greg Dulcich. Move over Albert O. because there is a new sheriff in town at the tight end position for the Broncos. In three games this season, Dulcich has caught 12 balls for 187 yards and one touchdown. In Week 8 (before Denver’s Week 9 bye), Dulcich put up a season-high 87 yards. Although I think Denver will focus on getting the ball into Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton’s hands, Dulcich should still see a significant target share, especially when the Broncos get into the red zone. Afterall, the Tennessee Titans allow the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season.
Arizona Cardinals DEF/ST
The Cardinals struggled immensely on defense against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9. Despite their best efforts, Arizona came up short, 31-21, as Kenneth Walker shredded Arizona’s rushing defense in the second half. However, the Cardinals have a Week 10 date with a Los Angeles Rams offense that is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing team defenses this fantasy season. With no running game of note, Matthew Stafford has struggled in the Rams’ attempt to return to the Super Bowl. Stafford has thrown more pick-sixes than any other quarterback this year. If you want to take a chance on a streamable defense, the Cardinals have some upside but they could also easily be shredded by Cooper Kupp. I understand why fantasy owners are adding the Cards at such a dramatic rate but I’d be a little wary. I don’t think the Rams are as finished as some others believe.
TE Noah Fant, Seattle Seahawks
Fant was a preseason sleeper who was expected to emerge as a potential TE1 in the fantasy football landscape in his debut season with the Seahawks. However, Fant has been practically invisible all season. Granted, he’s had to compete for targets with not only DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett but also with fellow tight end, Will Dissly. That being said, Fant may have finally built a rapport with Geno Smith. The two connected five times for 96 yards on Sunday. Fant caught five of the six targets he saw. Perhaps this was the game he needed to build some momentum. Considering the lack of options out there at the tight end position, Fant should be available in your league.
