Top Free Agents Still Available, Hopkins, Dalvin Cook, Ezekiel Elliott and more

Mark Morales-Smith Jun 19th 11:16 AM EDT.

Despite us now getting into late June there are still a handful of high-profile free agents on the market. These guys should still hold some fantasy value once they sign on with a new team this offseason. We have compiled and ranked the top seven free agents still available that fantasy owners should be paying attention to.

Take a look at our ADPs throughout draft Season and how these free agent signings alter the rankings. Practice on our Mock Draft Simulator and utilize the Draft Genius for Draft Day.

Top Free Agents

1. WR DeAndre Hopkins

The top free agent still available on the market has to be Hopkins. One of the main reasons he is still available is because he was recently released and hasn't had all offseason to negotiate a new deal with a new team. While he may not be in the conversation as the best wideout in the league anymore, he still looked like he had plenty in the tank in 2022 despite the Cardinals dealing with quarterback issues due to injuries to starter Kyler Murray. While Hopkins has only been directly linked to the New England Patriots so far, we have also heard rumors swirling about interest from the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, and Tennessee Titans as well.

2. RB Dalvin Cook

Cook is another free agent who was just recently released from his long-time team the Minnesota Vikings. He had spent the entirety of his six-year career there. Now, coming off his fourth straight 1,000-yard season he is looking for a new home where he can be a difference-maker. To this point, he has been heavily linked to the Miami Dolphins. However, all reports have stated that he is in no rush to sign with a new team and is looking for more money than most teams may be willing to give him. While Miami is still the favorite to land him and a great fit, it remains to be seen how this will play out and how deep into the summer it will drag out.

3. RB Ezekiel Elliott

Elliott was also released by his long-time team this offseason after spending seven years with the Dallas Cowboys. It has become clear that Zeke no longer possesses the explosiveness he once did and more than likely won't be viewed as an every-down back by any team on the market. Nonetheless, last year he still showed that he is excellent in short-yardage situations and can be a productive complimentary piece. He is coming off back-to-back double-digit TD seasons after punching in 12 in 2022.

4. RB Kareem Hunt

For years we have been waiting for Hunt to finally get his shot as a true RB1 after watching him dominate during his first two seasons in Kansas City before being suspended by the league for an altercation with a woman caught on film at a casino. Unfortunately, he was stuck behind Nick Chubb in Cleveland for so long that his time may have passed him by. Now entering his age 28 season, Hunt is coming off the least productive and least efficient season as both a runner and a pass catcher. There hasn't been much noise surrounding Hunt, but he has been linked to Washington and Denver.

5. RB Leonard Fournette

We have buried Lenny numerous times before only to have him rise from the ashes like a Fantasy Phoenix. He's another guy that is unlikely to ever be viewed as a true NFL RB1 again. However, his rare combination of short-yardage and pass-catching ability will always make him an intriguing option for both NFL teams and fantasy owners alike. Fournette is another guy who hasn't had a ton of rumors swirling about him, but there has been some talk about him replacing Zeke in Dallas.

6. WR Kenny Golladay

Prior to a disastrous stint with the New York Giants, Golladay is just two years removed from being the top free-agent wide receiver available and receiving a massive contract. He's still just 29 years old, but looks all but washed up in the NFL. There must be someone out there who believes they can still fix him though. That the issue was the fit in New York because he was an outstanding talent in Detroit. Injuries have also been an issue going back to his final season in Detroit, but he was completely useless in New York, totaling just 43 receptions for 602 yards and one TD in 26 games. It would be interesting to see him get a fresh start somewhere to see if he can get his career back on track.

7. WR Jarvis Landry

Juice never quite had the same impact after leaving Miami and is coming off an atrocious year in New Orleans. Still, he is a sure-handed veteran that could be useful as a slot guy for someone. His days as a 100-catch guy are well past him, however, in the right situation it's not impossible that he catches 70 passes for 800 yards and five TDs in one final late-career resurgence. Now 30 years old, his fantasy value will depend massively on his health and landing spot. There is a chance he could emerge as a PPR flex option if things fall right for him.
