Francisco Lindor Nears Rehab Assignment as Return from Calf Injury Looms

Lindor remains sidelined on the injured list with a left calf strain and has not played since late April. However, our data confirms he is progressing well, participating in simulated games this week as he gets closer to a return. The fifth-place Mets desperately need their star back as they try to climb out of their current division deficit.

When healthy, our models project Lindor to deliver his standard elite production, including a .263 batting average alongside 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases. While his early-season numbers were slow, his career track record suggests this extended absence is just a bump in the road rather than a sign of regression. Fantasy managers must remain patient, as his power-speed upside remains elite.

The Mets face a challenging remaining schedule this week against the Phillies, including matchups against tough starters Cristopher Sanchez and Zack Wheeler. Because Lindor is still building up in simulated action and has yet to begin a formal rehab assignment, he will not active this week. Keep him stashed on your bench for now. Verdict: Sit.
