Breaking: Video of Aaron Rodgers Injury - Taken Out of Game After Sack by Floyd
New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers in his first ofensive series with his new team appeared to be shaken up after a sack by Buffalo Bill Leonard Floyd. He was helped off the field by Jets trainers and was being examined on the sidelines before being taken into the locker room via cart.
His official status report is an injury to his ankle and his status is questionable to return. He is now in a walking boot according to Mike Garafolo.
No early indications on how severe the inury might be as of yet. Please stay tuned as we update his status moving forward. Zach Wilson is the backup quarterback for the Jets and has so far completed two passes for 13 yards.
Aaron Rodgers is not exactly a young quarterback at the age of 39 but has been remarkably durable throughout his storied career. The last time he missed significant time was back in 2017 when Anthony Barr sacked Rodgers and injured his collar bone. He underwent surgery that required doctors to insert 13 screws and two plates into his collarbone. It essentially ended the Packers season causing Green Bay to lose eight of its final 11 games.
Update: 9:06 EST. Lisa Salters has reported that Aaron Rodger's night is officially over and has been ruled out.
Rodgers, 39, signed a two-year, $75 million contract that is fully guaranteed. Needless to say Jets fans are likely holding their breathe hoping for positive news.
