Fantasy Football Snap & Target Report Week 4: TuTu Atwell, Chris Olave, Zach Charbonnet
Fantasy Football Snap & Target Report
Top Targets: Puka Nakua Leads All WRs
The beat goes on for Rams WR Puka Nacua. After four weeks, he still leads all receivers in targets with 52. He is only one of seven receivers to average 10 or more targets per game. After Nacua is the Raiders’ Davante Adams with 50, the Vikings’ Justin Jefferson with 47, the Chargers’ Keenan Allen with 44, the Eagles’ A.J. Brown with 43, the Bengals' Ja’Marr Chase with 41, and the Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill with 40. Hill leads this group with four TDs, while only Chase has yet to find the end zone.
Nacua also has the most catches with 39, and has been on the field the sixth-most among receivers, having played 263 snaps. He also has the second most receiving yards, with 501, only behind Jefferson.
There were a couple of other WRs who were averaging 10 or more targets per game prior to Sunday but fell off this past week. Michael Pittman was only targeted five times on Sunday. That still led the team but well short of his first three weeks, where he was targeted 11, 12, and 11 times.

New Orleans Saints: Chris Olave vs. Michael Thomas, Alvin Kamara
Chris Olave was another WR who didn’t see the ball much in Week 4. He was only targeted six times on Sunday after two consecutive weeks of being targeted 11 times, and only made one catch for four yards. He’s only catching 61% of his targets and hasn’t found the end zone yet, nor has his counterpart Michael Thomas, who was also targeted six times this week.
Some of the dropoff can be attributed to the return of Alvin Kamara, who was on the field for 49 snaps and 24 touches. He rushed the ball 11 times for 51 yards and was targeted a whopping 14 times on pass plays out of the backfield. He managed an astounding 13 catches, but for only 33 yards.
This week against a depleted New England Patriots defense, look for the Saints' offense to explode with Olave, Thomas, and Kamara, all very active and at least two of the three finding the end zone.
New York Jets: Garrett Wilson
The opposite effect happened this week for Jets WR Garrett Wilson. He wasn’t targeted in double digits in any of the first three weeks. He went from five, to eight, to nine targets. But on Sunday, it was clear early on that they would be going to him often. He was targeted 14 times and ended with nine catches. And although he only gained 60 yards, his big day opened up other opportunities for QB Zach Wilson, which allowed him to complete 28-39 passes for 245 yards and two TDs. He ended the game with a 110.7 QB rating.
Los Angeles Rams: TuTu Atwell
TuTu Atwell hasn’t been nearly as flashy as Nacua has been for the Rams, but it has been his consistency that has allowed Nacua to flash those gaudy numbers. Atwell has been the very definition of consistency. He has been targeted nine times in each of the past three weeks and, for the season, is tied for 12th among WRs with 35 targets. He’s caught 22 passes and has a catch percentage of 63% for the season.
Rookie RB Report: De'Von Achane, Tyjae Spears, Zach Charbonnet
For rookie running backs, it’s not always about the snap count or the touches, but their average per rush. Because, without that, young RBs can often find the bench pretty quickly. Here are three rookie RBs who are averaging 5 yards or more for the year but aren’t their team’s primary RBs ... yet?
- De’Von Achane, Miami Dolphins: 75 snaps, 27 attempts, 11.4-yard average per rush
- Tyjae Spears, Tennessee Titans: 120 snaps, 20 attempts, 6.1-yard average per rush
- Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks: 76 snaps, 21 attempts, 5.0-yard average per rush
Las Vegas Raiders: Josh Jacobs
On the other end of the spectrum is Josh Jacobs, who is clearly the Las Vegas Raiders primary RB1, but who is having a dreadful start to the season. In 186 snaps, he’s had 80 rushes with only a 2.7-yard average per rush. Still, with the third-highest snap, rush, and target shares of any RB, he is a must-start in fantasy each week.
