Fantasy Football WR/TE FAAB Report Week 6: How Much To Spend On Jonnu Smith, Josh Downs, Rashee Rice
Welcome to my weekly FAAB report article for Fantasy Football. Every week I am going to go over my favorite additions at the WR and TE positions in both shallower leagues and deeper leagues and tell you how much FAAB you should be spending and why.

Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Shallow Leagues (10 and 12 Teams)
WR Nelson Agholor FAAB Budget
He was involved in the passing game last week, finishing third on the team in yards only behind WR1 Zay Flowers and top target TE Mark Andrews. Odell Beckham Jr. was supposed to be the number two guy in this offense, but he has been injured and inconsistent, which has opened the door for Agholor. Rashod Bateman is on the roster, but he appears to be the fourth WR and fifth option in the passing game, so Agholor has what seems like a clear role. Spending between 4-6% of your remaining budget feels right here.
WR Jameson Williams FAAB Budget
Williams is an amazing talent who missed the first four weeks of the season due to a suspension. He was likely drafted in all league sizes and formats, but in the shallowest of leagues it can be difficult to stash players once injuries and bye weeks come along, so he may have been cut and therefore be available. Although he was quiet in his first game back, Williams should be added in all shallow leagues now before he has a monster performance and you need to spend 20-30% of your remaining budget. Right now, you should be able to get him for 8-12% of the FAAB you have left.
WR Josh Downs FAAB Budget
Downs has been seeing targets in this offense and making the most of it. He was second on the team in targets in their Week 5 win over the Titans and led the team in yards. The Colts' offense is much better than expected coming into the season, and having their pass catchers could be helpful as the season moves along. Also, keep in mind that QB Anthony Richardson is injured; his replacement, Gardner Minshew, is a more established passer, which gives Downs a boost in fantasy. You can feel comfortable spending 7-9% of your remaining budget on Downs.
WR Rashee Rice FAAB Budget
Rice was third in catches and third in yards in the Chiefs' Week 5 win over the Vikings. He found the end zone for the second time this season, and with no WRs establishing themselves in the Chiefs' offense, Rice has a chance to become the lead guy behind TE Travis Kelce. He hasn’t been consistent enough for me to tell you to spend big bucks, but he should be added in all leagues, and spending 5-7% of your remaining budget won’t break the bank, nor is it too risky.
Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups for Deep Leagues (14 and 16 Teams)
WR Cedrick Wilson FAAB Budget
With how good the Dolphins' offense has been this season, any pass catcher in the offense has fantasy value. Wilson was third on the team in targets last week and second in receiving yards and is worthy of a look in the deeper leagues now because of it. The Dolphins' running game has been great as of late, which has taken away some of the volume in the passing game, but it will balance back out again. As long as Wilson remains on the field, he can serve a purpose for you. Spending 2-4% of your remaining budget is fine here.
TE Jonnu Smith FAAB Budget
Smith was on this list last week too and continues to be heavily featured and targeted in the Falcons' offense. Even with Kyle Pitts finally having a good week, Jonnu is getting his opportunities. He is not a 10-team starter but can be in 14, 16, and maybe even 12-team leagues where you want to play the matchups with your TE. Smith has seen at least six targets in four straight games and has been more consistent than Kyle Pitts and Drake London this season. I am looking to spend 3-5% of my FAAB in Standard scoring and 6-9% in PPR.
WR Josh Reynolds FAAB Budget
Reynolds has played a lot of snaps with QB Jared Goff, dating back to their Rams' days. He caught a big TD in Week 5 and he will be relevant moving forward in a very talented Lions offense. If fellow WR Amon-Ra St. Brown misses another game (he sat out Week 5), Reynolds gets an even bigger boost for his Week 6 matchup against the Buccaneers. Reynolds is worth between 3-5% of your remaining budget, but if you are suffering from injuries or have WRs on byes over the next couple of weeks, 5-7% of your remaining budget is fine too.
