Fantasy Football Snap & Target Report

Tight End Fantasy Football Target Update

This was the week for Tight Ends. Six of them were targeted 10 or more times.

  1. Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs, 11: Despite missing Week 1, Kelce is tied for second among TEs on the season with 37 targets and is third in catches with 27. He also has three TDs in his four games played.
  2. Darren Waller, New York Giants, 11: Waller has been targeted 34 times this season with a 68% catch percentage and a solid 10.4 yards per reception.
  3. Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons, 11: Pitts and Jonnu Smith have proven to be a nice tandem for the Falcons. Pitts has been targeted 32 times on the year, while Smith has been targeted 27 times, but Smith actually has more receptions, 21 to 18, thanks to a much better catch percentage, 77.8% to 56.3%. If Pitts (with help from Desmond Ridder) can improve his catch percentage, he is a weekly starter at tight end.
  4. Logan Thomas, Washington Commanders, 11: Thomas had nearly half his targets last Thursday. He led all receivers with nine catches, 77 yards, and a touchdown. Look for him to stay involved with the offense.
  5. Mark Andrews, Baltimore Ravens, 10: Andrews has been one of the most consistent TEs in the league for a while, and has been a constant in Baltimore’s offense. He has three TDs on the year and has caught 71% of his targets.
  6. Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans, 10: Stroud to Schultz may become like Mahomes to Kelce or Brady to Gronkowski over the next few years. His catch percentage is a tad low at 63%, as is his 9.1 average yards per catch. He does have two TDs on the year and is second on the Texans to WR Robert Woods in red zone targets with five.

Wide Receiver Fantasy Football Target Update

There were four WRs whose targets have been lacking who had double-digit targets this week:

  1. DeAndre Hopkins, Tennessee Titans, 11: Hopkins has become QB Ryan Tennehill’s security blanket. He’s been targeted 42 times on the year for 26 catches, which leads the team in both categories. He also has the most red zone targets on the team with six.
  2. Chris Godwin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 11: For the year, Godwin has caught 21 of 30 targets (70%) and has more than doubled any other Buccaneers receiver in red zone targets, with seven.
  3. D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears, 10: On a better team, Moore would be a superstar. He’s 15th in the league with 27 receptions, and he’s second out of the top 20 receivers in catch percentage (79.4%). He is also tied with Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs for the most receiving TDs with five.
  4. Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins, 10: He has been hurt at times to start the season, but Waddle is the clear No. 2 option behind Tyreek Hill. Now that he’s getting healthy, he’s gradually gaining playing time. He was actually targeted more than Hill on Sunday. Look for his production to continue to tick up.

Fantasy Football Running Back Usage Report

There were five RBs who had 25 or more touches this past week:

  1. Travis Etienne, Jacksonville Jaguars, 30: For the season, Etienne is second behind Christian McCaffrey in touches, 119 to 113. He is definitely a throwback, a workhorse rusher. He has 396 rushing yards on the season with three TDs, and he’s added 144 receiving yards on 18 receptions. He’s on pace to have 1,836 total yards.
  2. Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals, 29: Mixon is one of the most underrated players in the league. But make no mistake about it, the better he plays, the better the passing game gets. He’s fifth among RBs with 97 touches and fourth in snaps with 245.
  3. Breece Hall, New York Jets, 25: When healthy, Hall is a dynamic running back. Over the previous three games, he only had 26 touches total. He had 22 rushes on Sunday for 177 yards and a touchdown.
  4. Zack Moss, Indianapolis Colts, 25: Moss is making his case for playing time even now that Jonathan Taylor signed his three-year deal. Moss has done nothing to lose his job or his playing time. He’s tied for fifth in touches and ninth in snaps with 226. He’s averaging 5 yards per rush and is third in the league in rushing yards with 445. He has four total TDs and is on pace for 1,757 total yards.
  5. Josh Jacobs, Las Vegas Raiders, 25: Jacobs was holding out until getting his contract and is slowly getting into playing shape. He started with 14 touches four weeks ago, and has now had back-to-back games with 25 touches. He had 20 rushes on Monday for 69 yards and a touchdown. He added five catches for an additional 20 yards.

Ja'Marr Chase Fantasy Football Target Report

“I’m always open,” last week, Ja’Marr Chase proclaimed he was always open when asked by a reporter if he was having a hard time getting open. All he did on Sunday was lead all receivers with 19 targets. He caught 15 passes for 192 yards and his first three TDs of the year.

Davante Adams vs. Jakobi Meyers Fantasy Football Target Report

Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers continue to be the perfect complements to each other. Myers was targeted 10 times on Monday with seven catches, 75 yards, and a touchdown. Adams was only targeted four times, catching all four passes for 45 yards. They each have three TDs on the year. For the year, Adams has been targeted 18 more times and has 12 more catches. He has also been targeted twice as much in the red zone.
