Week 6 Fantasy Football Streaming Options: Emari Demercado, K.J. Osborn, and More!
Everyone has at least one hole in their fantasy football roster due to injuries (maybe you drafted Justin Jefferson), underperformance (Miles Sanders, anyone?), or just bad drafting (not you, of course). However, holes can be filled and there are almost always good streaming options. It’s just a matter of finding them.
I'll be here every week trying to unearth the best streaming options that you can likely find on waivers and plug into your starting lineup for that week. There are some good ones out there for Week 6, so let's dig in!

Quarterback
Sam Howell, Washington Commanders
Howell had an awful Week 3, but he's been a good fantasy option otherwise. With a solid cast of supporting weapons, Howell has finished as top-15 fantasy quarterback in four of his five games this season. The Falcons defense isn't bad, but they aren't great either. Howell should have plenty of chances to put up numbers against them in Week 6 and is a viable play if you're dealing with bye weeks and/or injuries.
Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield is...good? I'm not sure I'd go that far, but the former Number One pick has resurrected his career in Tampa Bay and should be in line to put up solid numbers against the Lions this weekend. While the Lions have a good defense, they have an even better offense that should force the Buccaneers to play from behind. And that (at least theoretically) should translate into solid fantasy numbers for Mayfield.
Running Back
Emari Demercado, Arizona Cardinals
Keaontay Ingram is listed as the Cardinals RB1 with James Conner injured, but Ingram is also listed as questionable heading into the Cardinals' matchup against the Rams this wekend. If Ingram is forced to miss the game, Demercado will make everyone who spent big FAAB dollars on him happy as he should be able to put up solid RB2/flex numbers.
D'Onta Foreman, Chicago Bears
There is a big IF here, but IF Roschon Johnson sits (he's currently questionable) against the Vikings, Foreman becomes an excellent play due to attrition. Foreman hasn't done much this year, but he looked good when he was forced into action with the Panthers last year and could provide RB2/flex numbers if Johnson doesn't play this weekend.
Wide Receiver
K.J. Osborn, Minnesota Vikings
Osborn obviously won't replace Justin Jefferson, but he should see an increase in targets against a bad Bears defense with Jefferson out. Jordan Addison is also dealing with an injury so there's even more upside here if the rookie has to sit. Osborn was a popular waiver pickup this week and he should be able to put up solid flex numbers in Week 6 (and beyond).
Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts
Downs has produced much more with Gardner Minshew under center so he should be able to continue his strong production now that Anthony Richardson is out for at least four weeks. With a matchup against the Jaguars coming up, Downs should be able to build on the 97-yard performance he put up last week and is a solid WR3/flex play this week.
Tight End
Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans
Schultz had a rough start to the season after finishing as a top-5 tight end last year, but he's scored in two straight games and is coming off a seven-catch performance on 10 targets. While I think it's safe to say he's more than a streamer, he's still being ranked as one. Get him in your lineups with the expectation of a top-10 tight end week. The Saints are tough, but Schultz should see enough usage to provide value.
Logan Thomas, Washington Commanders
Thomas has always produced when he's been healthy and he's healthy again! He saw more than a fifth of Sam Howell's passes last week and put up nine catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. I don't know if we'll get that type of production from Thomas against the Falcons, but he should be able to put up TE1 numbers as long as he has this big of a role in the Commanders' offense.
Alright, my friends. That’ll do it for this week.
I wish you all the best of luck in Week 6, and I’ll see you back here next week to see if we can find some hidden gems for Week 7!
