It’s time to finish off my top-10 dynasty fantasy football ranking series!

We looked at quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers already and will tackle tight ends to wrap things up.

I think the tight end position is the one most up in the air, with each dynasty owner having their own personal preference. Here’s mine!

1. Brock Bowers" data-toggle="modal" data-target="#player-pop-up" href="/nfl_player_news/Brock_Bowers/">Brock Bowers

There’s little doubt in my mind that Bowers is my top dynasty tight end. He’s 21 years old and might already be the best fantasy tight end.

Bowers is playing on a subpar team, and has had a revolving group of quarterbacks throwing to him. All the rookie has done is average 73.7 receiving yards on seven receptions a game.

Bowers is set up for long-term success, and if Las Vegas finds a franchise quarterback at some point, he could really erupt. I’d be pretty surprised if he isn’t the No. 1 fantasy TE drafted in 2025, and that might continue for several more seasons.

2. Trey McBride

McBride didn’t really get going until the midway point of the 2023 season, but he’s quickly emerged as one of the top fantasy tight ends. He’s just 25 years old and on an up-and-coming offense.

McBride had 825 yards and three scores last season, and while he doesn’t have a touchdown reception this season, he’s got a great chance to top 1,000 yards.

Alongside Marvin Harrison Jr., McBride should thrive in the Cardinals’ offense for years to come. The only real negative against him being the top dynasty TE is that he’s a couple years older than Bowers.

3. Sam LaPorta

LaPorta was the consensus top dynasty TE coming into the season, but he’s regressed in a big way. He’s still just 23 years old, and I think the future is still extremely bright.

After having 889 yards and 10 scores in his rookie season, LaPorta has just 445 yards and five scores through 12 games and week 14 (since the Lions played Thursday night). The only real difference for the Lions on offense this season has been the emergence of Jameson Williams, but with a high-powered attack overall, it’s still very surprising to see LaPorta’s numbers where they are.

I’m not giving up on him after a down sophomore season. If anything, I’m looking to buy low on him, as I believe LaPorta will be a top-end fantasy TE for the next decade or so. So, I’m either holding on to LaPorta if I already roster him, or trying to buy low - not sell him in fear of more poor seasons to come.

4. Dalton Kincaid

Kincaid was another young TE who was expected to take off this season, but that just hasn’t happened. He’s 25 years old.

Kincaid had 673 yards and two scores across 16 games as a rookie, but has only 356 yards and two touchdowns this season. He’s missed some games with injuries, but he was considered a disappointment before the injuries slowed him.

Buffalo still doesn’t have many young pass catchers locked in, so there’s still plenty of chances for Kincaid to become a favorite target for Josh Allen, and that obviously would make him a great fantasy asset for years to come. He ranks this high for me mostly because of his age, but I think he’s another one you could acquire for fairly cheap after his down season - he’s in the same boat as LaPorta.

5. David Njoku

Njoku dealt with some injuries of his own this season, but has been pretty good when on the field. He’s 28 years old, but I still see several good seasons ahead for him.

Njoku has scored at least four touchdowns in each of the past four seasons, and he’d be an even better fantasy asset if the Browns could lock down a long-term quarterback. When on the field, Njoku has been near the top of the pecking order for pass catchers.

He’s not as young as a lot of the other players on my list, but with a few good seasons left, I still like Njoku for dynasty teams. He’s a player for contending teams to roster, and probably should be sold high by rebuilding teams.

6. Kyle Pitts

Pitts might have the most raw talent of any tight end in the league, but he just hasn’t been able to put it all together. He’s still just 24 years old, so it feels wrong ranking him this low, but his production justifies my ranking for him.

The lack of a competent quarterback appeared to be what was holding Pitts back, but even with Kirk Cousins around this season, the inconsistencies are still there. He shows flashes of greatness and then goes without a catch the next week.

That kind of production is frustrating to fantasy owners, but is par for the course for the tight end position. I’m still holding out a little hope for him being that he isn’t 25 yet - maybe a change of scenery is the move that could unlock his potential.

7. Tucker Kraft

Kraft is probably a surprising name for some of you to see, especially with the names I got ranked after him, but I think the Packers got a great one. He just turned 24 years old a little over a month ago.

Kraft was TE2 in Green Bay last season, but has supplanted Luke Musgrave this season. Kraft has 521 yards and seven scores across 13 games and 14 weeks.

Kraft looks like he’s cemented himself as an offensive cornerstone the Packers can build around moving forward. I actually think Kraft is a better fantasy option than several of the tight ends I have ranked ahead of him, but I haven’t seen quite enough from Kraft to take him any higher.

8. George Kittle

Kittle is in the running for the top fantasy TE spot this season, but he’s also 31 years old.

He’s been a fantasy stud when healthy most of his career, but you have to wonder how much longer the tight end has left in him. Kittle is in a good situation right now, and should stick with a contending team for the remainder of his career.

I think he’s got another elite fantasy season or two in him before some regression kicks in. His age is really what has him ranked eighth though.

9. T.J. Hockenson

Hockenson has returned from his knee injury he suffered late last season and has shown flashes of his old self. He’s 27 years old.

I think Hockenson can still be a top-end fantasy tight end, but can’t rank him any higher because of his age. His situation in Minnesota isn’t the clearest, but with plenty of talented players around him, the chance to produce good numbers should remain.

He’s another veteran TE that only contending dynasty owners should roster - sell him now if you are rebuilding.

10. Jake Ferguson

This season for Ferguson has been slowed by a couple injuries. He’s just 25 years old.

Ferguson broke out last season, and many people expected even more from him this year. He was averaging a similar amount of yards, but hasn’t found the end zone yet.

I wanted to take him higher, but the future of the Cowboys is really murky. Ferguson should remain one of the top pass catchers for a while though, and that alone makes him a good option moving forward.
