Final Fantasy Football Injury Report for Week 17: Anthony Richardson, Isaac Guerendo, Tee Higgins, David Njoku and More
These are all the injuries you need to know heading into championship weekend.
Quarterbacks
Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles (Concussion)
Hurts was not able to clear concussion protocol in time to play in Week 17 and will be forced to sit this one out. Kenny Pickett will get the start for the Eagles. Last week after entering the game he hyper-targeted A.J. Brown.
Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints (Hand)
Derek Carr has been ruled out for Week 17, leaving the Saints offense a complete disaster. It is best to avoid everyone on the team this week if possible.
Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts (Back/Foot)
Richardson was not able to practice at all this week, however, the team has not yet ruled him out and plans to monitor him up until Sunday morning. With that said, it looks more than probable that Joe Flacco will get the start for Indy. This gives the Colts pass-catchers a boost, but if you are relying on Flacco in your fantasy championship, you may be in trouble.
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (Hip)
This questionable designation is more than likely a non-issue as we have seen this the past few weeks with no real concern at all regarding his playing status.
Running Backs
James Conner, Arizona Cardinals (Knee)
This was a scary one, nevertheless, the Cardinals expect to have Conner out there on Saturday night. The injury looked minor and being that Arizona is playing for nothing, it must have been considering he's expected to play. You should still monitor his status up until game time. With rookie Trey Benson expected to be a game-time call, if Conner can't go this backfield could get really murky. If Benson can go, he'd be the guy. Otherwise, the next man up is Michael Carter, with DeeJay Dallas likely worked in along with him as well.
Alvin Kamara, New Orleans Saints (Groin)
As expected, Kamara has been ruled out for Week 17 and his season is likely over. Kendre Miller will get another crack at the starting role in a game that lines up better for him than last week did.
J.K. Dobbins, Los Angeles Chargers (Knee)
It looks like it's all systems go for Dobbins in championship weeks. Gus Edwards has been ruled out and Dobbins has been activated and is expected to serve as the lead back. Fantasy owners have to be weary about a lightened workload considering he's fresh off of injured reserve, but it looks like you can start him if you need him.
Isaac Guerendo, San Francisco 49ers (Foot/Hamstring)
Guerendo has been a limited participant in practice this week and looks to be trending in the right direction to play on Monday Night Football. However, the fact that San Fran doesn't play until Monday night limits what we know heading into the Saturday games and could make things tricky for fantasy owners who may need to make start/sit decisions sooner rather than later.
Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers (Knee)
Hubbard is officially listed as questionable for Week 17 but is fully expected to be out there.
Tony Pollard, Tennessee Titans (Ankle)
Pollard continues to struggle through an ankle injury and is a legitimate question mark for Week 17. However, despite suiting up the past few weeks, he has seen less work than Tyjae Spears because of his ailment. Spears has also been outperforming him.
Tyrone Tracy Jr., New York Giants (Toe)
Tracy tentatively looks like he's on the right side of the questionable heading into the weekend. However, this is one we would double-check the inactives prior to game time to make sure he's playing. Should he be a surprise inactive, Devin Singletary could see a bell-cow workload in a good matchup.
Wide Receivers
CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys (Shoulder)
With nothing left to play for, the Cowboys have shut Lamb down due to his lingering shoulder injury. His season is over and it's a brutal blow for fantasy owners heading into their championship. The good news is he is not expected to require surgery and should be good to go for training camp in 2025. Brandin Cooks is probably the next man up at wideout for Dallas, but we would avoid this group altogether if at all possible.
Tee Higgins, Cincinnati Bengals (Knee/Ankle)
Both Higgins and the team are optimistic that he will be able to play this weekend after showing improvement each day in practice throughout the week. The good news here is that he plays on Saturday, so if he is inactive you should be able to pivot without too many issues.
Malik Nabers, New York Giants (Toe)
Nabers says he'll be a game-day call and it sounds like he is expected to play on Sunday. This is a situation still worth monitoring, but if he's out there, we expect him to be a full go.
Davante Adams, New York Jets (Hip)
Adams practice schedule has been spotty, but we expect him to play this week. This just seems like another case of the inmates running the asylum in East Rutherford.
Chris Olave, New Orleans Saints (Concussion)
Olave is practicing and does have a chance to play, but what are we doing here? After all the brain injuries he's suffered, it feels almost negligent to put him out there in a meaningless game with everyone else on the offense hurt. God forbid he went out there and suffered a concussion for nothing - it would be a catastrophic failure by the organization and everyone involved. If he is active, you should still not start him being that he doesn't have a quarterback and that non-existent quarterback doesn't have a line or rushing attack to help him.
Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (Knee)
In a bit of a surprise twist, it looks like Waddle has a real shot to play this week. We still view him as a game-time call, but he's looking 50/50 right now. Even so, if active he's little more than a desperation flex option this week.
Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (Knee)
Watson has not been ruled out and still has a slim chance of suiting up this week, however, we wouldn't bank on it. Staying healthy has been a massive struggle for him this season. This will give one of the Packers wideouts a boost, but good luck figuring out which one.
Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns (Concussion)
This has become a scary situation as Tillman has been ruled out again this week. We can't imagine we will see him on the field again this season.
Tight Ends
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns (Knee)
Njoku has been ruled out for Week 17 with a knee injury.
Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Knee)
Otton has been ruled out with a knee injury for Week 17.
