Aaron Judge Sidelined with Shoulder Injury Amid Cold Streak; Bench Him for the Week

Judge has been mired in a slump over the last 30 days, batting just .213 with three homers, and has now been sidelined with a right shoulder bone bruise since June 2nd. The second-place Yankees (36-25) are currently on a two-game losing streak and desperately need their everyday starting right fielder back in action. Given his questionable status, his immediate playing time is highly volatile.

Despite his recent struggles and a .206 average over the last fortnight, our data still projects a massive rest-of-season turnaround, expecting him to push toward a .300 batting average and 50 home runs. While the shoulder injury is a temporary setback, his elite career track record—including last year's .339 average and 54 long balls—proves this cold streak is a fluke, meaning fantasy managers must remain patient.

With the week already underway, the Yankees have four remaining games, starting tonight against Slade Cecconi (5.25 ERA) followed by a tough weekend series against Boston's strong rotation, including Sonny Gray (3.06 ERA). Because of his active shoulder injury and high chance of missed games, he is too risky to trust in weekly lineups. Bench him for now, making him a Sit for this week.
