+1 today for the win.
@AdamSchefter: Saints interim HC Darren Rizzi has specialized on special teams, and his work has continued. During Rizzi's first two games as the Saints interim head coach, opposing kickers Younghoe Koo and Dustin Hopkins were a combined 1-for-6 on field-goal attempts. The only made field goal the past two weeks against Rizzi's Saints was a 27 yarder from Koo in Week 10. But the Saints have been helped with field goal misses from 51 yards, 27 yards, 53 yards, 35 yards and 46 yards.

Jay-Z has released a statement responding to a civil lawsuit alleging rape of a 13-year-old girl in which he emphatically denies the claim.
The lawsuit was filed by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee who separately led a myriad of cases vs. #Browns QB Deshaun Watson that ended in lengthy settlements. Watson also strongly denied allegations of sexual assault over the last few years.

A day after being added to the 53 for the first time this season. Yikes.
@billbarnwell: Kadarius Toney played two snaps in the fourth quarter, both on special teams:
- Fair catch and flagged for taunting down multiple scores
- Muffed punt and Steelers recover
Browns pressure is getting to the Steelers. Wilson called for intentional grounding on a long third-down throwaway as Myles Garrett and Dalvin Tomlinson converged. Steelers drives so far : 3 plays, 7 yards (5 by penalty), punt 5 plays, 24 yards, FG 3 plays, -5 yards, punt
Jerome Ford must be coated in olive oil. Steelers have had trouble all afternoon trying to bring him down in space.
The Cleveland Browns will be scraping the bottom of the barrel at the wide receiver position against the Pittsburgh Steelers as both Cedric Tillman and Jamari Thrash have been listed as inactive ahead of gametime.
Tillman was ruled out with a concussion that he suffered over two weeks ago in the first bout against the Steelers, while Thrash came into the game questionable with a shoulder injury. It appears that shoulder is too raw for Thrash to suit up in this Week 14 showdown as the Browns look to sweep the Steelers
As the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers get set for battle, we will not get a rematch between wide receiver George Pickens and cornerback Greg Newsome II.
The Browns will not be the only team shorthanded at the wide receiver position.
While Newsome and Pickens spent the whole week trash-talking after they got into a post-game scrap just two weeks ago, they’ll have to take their beef to social media. Entering the game questionable with a groin injury, Pickens has been announced as a surprise inactive in this game
Cleveland Browns special teams ace Mike Ford Jr. left the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with a head injury. The gunner suffered the injury while covering a punt. Ford took a direct shot to the head while trying to tackle the Steelers’ punt returner Calvin Austin III.
Ford went straight to the medical tent after the play to be evaluated for a concussion. He was seen jogging towards the locker room minutes later.
The Browns must find a way to replace Ford on special teams. Ford plays on all four units. The special teams play has been dreadfully all season. Browns’ special teams coordinator Bubba Ventrone must address the team’s lack of energy
George Pickens intended to play today vs. the Browns, but after conversations this morning, the Steelers decided to take a long-term view and not risk the hamstring injury that he suffered at the end of the week. Thus Pickens is inactive.
A look forward for the #Steelers, as their starting QB for 2025 is almost certainly on roster. Russell Wilson has seized that starting role and run with it. My story: nfl.com/news/steelers-… nfl.com/news/steelers-…
TE Pat Freiermuth, who punted in high school, said he decided earlier this week if he scored he was going to punt the ball into the stands. “Someone had to get fined,” he said, laughing. Freiermuth added: “My grandfather's probably pissed on me, but man, it's all good.”
That was a pretty soft roughing the passer call against Alex Highsmith. Not sure what else he could've done there.
What a fake by Russell Wilson. Sold the hand off to Jaylen Warren, then ripped it away and found Van Jefferson for the score.
Donte Jackson down after the play but he's able to walk off under his own power.
Russell Wilson deftly scampers to avoid Cam Thomas on second down and scrambles to pick up the first. A play later, Najee Harris gets in from a yard out for the Steelers' first TD of the day.
Steelers offense turns Keeanu Benton's pick into seven points. Scoring off turnovers has been inconsistent all season, but that's a big one. 10-7 Steelers, 11:00 Q2
Steelers doing a much better job on Njoku this game. Big time PBU by DeShon Elliott on third down to force the Browns to settle for a 38-yard FG attmpt -- which misses wide left.
Mason McCormick gets chippy after the play. Steelers love the fight in the rookie.
Mike Williams holds on to that one, but it's thrown short of the sticks on third down. Chris Boswell barely sneaks a 54-yard FG through. Steelers longest drive so far -- 11 plays, 45 yards, 5:39 -- ends in three points. 13-7 Steelers, 4:21 2Q
Looked like an obvious push off by Mike Williams in real time, less on the replay. Still, officials call OPI on 18 to negate what would've been the receiver's second catch. Hearty "ref you suck" chant at Acrisure.
Larry Ogunjobi downgraded to OUT with a groin injury. Steelers already thin at DL because Dean Lowry was inactive to make room for Jeremiah Moon on special teams.
Larry Ogunjobi has a groin injury and his return is questionable.
One thing the Pittsburgh Steelers pride themselves on is their special teams. Few teams in the NFL can block kicks the way the Steelers do. Last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, the tables got turned on the Steelers when the Bengals blocked a 42-yard field goal attempt.
When head coach Mike Tomlin sat down with Steelers writer Dale Lolley, and Lolley asked him about the blocked kick and Tomlin hilariously called out two Steelers for the blocked kick.
Q. A couple of weeks ago, we talked about how field goals get blocked in the NFL, and you pointed out that there has to be some negligence on the part of the kicking team for that to happen. What happened on the 42-yard field goal the Bengals blocked last Sunday?A. Without naming specific names – Broderick Jones and Spencer Anderson – there was some negligence on the play
Head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media after the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-14 win over the Cleveland Browns. He wanted to be clear on the situation surrounding his choice to deactivate wide receiver George Pickens and replace him on the active roster with Scotty Miller on Sunday.
Pickens showed up on the injury report on Friday with a hamstring injury and was originally listed as questionable. Rumor was that Pickens would go but Tomlin opted to not play Pickens and thankfully things worked out.
According to Tomlin, he chose to deactivate Pickens because he didn’t want a small problem to turn into a big problem and he didn’t feel like Pickens could give them enough snaps to make it worth putting him in uniform. Tomlin also praised the play of Miller in his absence
