Prayers: #Panthers pass rusher DJ Johnson was involved in a car accident and is ruled out for Sunday's game against the #Bucs. It is not life-threatening 🙏 pic.x.com/ruPulrigIV

Panthers' final injury report: Amare Barno, Shoulder - Out Jaycee Horn, Hip - Out Josey Jewell, Concussion - Out DJ Johnson, Personal - Out Lonnie Johnson Jr., Shoulder / Neck - Out
Either Caleb Farley or Akayleb Evans will start at CB in place of Jaycee Horn.
NFL QB Index, Week 18: Panthers' Bryce Young surges 11 spots to No. 11 in @TheNickShook's weekly rankings nfl.com/news/nfl-qb-in… pic.x.com/Zxs7ocwc7t
Carolina Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn will not be finishing out his Pro Bowl campaign.
Horn, who was officially named to his first Pro Bowl Games yesterday morning, has been ruled out for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Atlanta Falcons due to his hip injury. The fourth-year defender also missed last week’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Inside linebacker Josey Jewell will also sit out of this weekend’s contest with a concussion. Like Horn, Jewell did not suit up for Week 17’s trip to Raymond James Stadium
I'd also include #Lions CB Carlton Davis III on my list of Pro Bowl snubs.
Before fracturing his jaw, Davis established himself as one of the premier cover corners in football. In 13 games for Detroit, he tallied 2 interceptions, 11 pass breakups, 2 fumble recoveries, and 1 forced fumble — all while emerging as a true tone-setter for Aaron Glenn's defense.
@Schultz_Report: My Pro Bowl snubs:
#Texans DE Danielle Hunter: Third in sacks, while leading the NFL in quarterback pressures and pressure percentage.
#Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr.: Despite his team's struggles, he's posted 80 catches, 1,179 yards, and 10 touchdowns. A lone bright spot who hasn't received enough love.
#Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez: At one point, he deserved Defensive Player of the Year buzz. A true shutdown corner, with teams actively avoiding his side of the field.
#Chiefs CB Trent McDuffie: One of the most underrated corners in football. The Chiefs' defense is on another level because of him, and his Pro Bowl omission proves how overlooked he remains.
#Falcons RB Bijan Robinson: Over 1,700 scrimmage yards and 13 touchdowns, while being a central focus of the Falcons' offense.
#Lions S Kerby Joseph: Leads the NFL with 9 interceptions — two more than any other player. How was he left off?
The #Falcons are listing WR Darnell Mooney (shoulder) as questionable for Sunday's regular-season finale vs. Carolina.
The Atlanta Falcons (8-8) will face the Carolina Panthers (4-12) to close out another up-and-down year. Sunday’s game is a chance for the team to finish the season with a winning record for the first time since 2017.
The Falcons are hanging on by a thread in the NFC South race but there’s still a slim chance to sneak into the postseason if things go their way. However, they won’t be going anywhere without a win over the Panthers in Week 18.
Atlanta hasn’t made any major roster moves since signing wide receiver Chris Blair last week. Check out the team’s updated 53-man roster and practice squad for Week 18 below
The Atlanta Falcons have one game left on their regular-season schedule but they’re not totally out of the NFC South race. If the New Orleans Saints can upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road in Week 18, the Falcons could sneak into the playoffs with a win over the Carolina Panthers.
Even if the Saints don’t pull the upset, Sunday’s season finale in Atlanta presents another chance for rookie Michael Penix Jr. to give the fans a glimpse of the future.
According to the Falcons’ social media account, the team will wear all-black uniforms in Sunday’s NFC South showdown at Mercedes-Benz Stadium
The Atlanta Falcons have a nice core of offensive weapons, including wide receiver Drake London and running back Bijan Robinson. While the team’s future looks bright, 2024 was another year where Atlanta started multiple quarterbacks.
The Falcons played Kirk Cousins for the first 14 games before switching to Michael Penix Jr. in Week 16. The rookie quarterback has already shown a ton of promise. In Week 17, Penix helped London top the 1,000-yard receiving mark against the Commanders.
It’s London’s first career 1,000-yard season but teammate Darnell Mooney isn’t far behind with 992 yards entering Week 18. Mooney topped the 1,000-yard milestone back in 2021 with the Chicago Bears
