November 6 Fantasy Basketball Streamers: Santi Aldama, Miles McBride, Malik Monk, and More
Three NBA teams with good matchups Wednesday and their rotation players who are widely available in fantasy leagues.
With no NBA games yesterday, I went through my process for determining fantasy basketball teams to target: I look at the top 10 teams in pace and the bottom 10 in defensive rating and find the squads who show up on both lists. I’m looking for teams that play fast and have bad defenses.
Six teams stood out after the first two weeks:
- Atlanta Hawks
- Los Angeles Lakers
- Milwaukee Bucks
- Toronto Raptors
- Utah Jazz
- Washington Wizards
That list will change often early in the season, maybe even day to day, but that’s a good group to target right now. Even with 24 teams in action today, only half of that list is playing: Milwaukee, Utah, and Washington are off on Wednesday.
Let’s look at the opponents of our other three targets and the rotation players on those teams who are widely available in fantasy leagues. I try not to list injured players, but always check actives/inactives before game time to ensure everyone in your lineup is playing.
All stats are from NBA.com.
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers have the sixth-worst defensive rating. They are actually tied for 11th in pace, but they are essentially even with the bottom of the top 10. I’m including them, as they have met the criteria most of the season.

Center
- Santi Aldama – Aldama is available in about half of leagues; he ranks first on the team in minutes and rebounds per game with eligibility at both center and forward.
New York Knicks @ Atlanta Hawks
Atlanta has played at the third-fastest pace and has the fourth-worst defense this year. The Hawks were a team to target last season, and it’s no surprise to see them as a premiere option again.

Sacramento Kings vs. Toronto Raptors
Toronto has played at the fourth-fastest pace and owns the second-worst defense. They are only one-tenth of a point behind the Hornets for the worst defensive rating, so there is obvious value in going after the Raptors; playing fast is just a cherry on top.
