Sandy Alcantara earned his first win for Miami after working five innings. He allowed two runs on three hits, while striking out four and walking none.
Ronny Henriquez, Lake Bachar and Anthony Veneziano all earned holds before Anthony Bender claimed his first save.
Kodai Senga was the losing pitcher despite striking out eight batters over five frames. He allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits and one walk.

Nathan Eovaldi earned his first win in a complete game shutout effort. He allowed just four hits, while striking out eight and walking none. Eovaldi needed 99 pitches to get through the contest.
Carson Spiers took the tough loss after surrendering a run on three hits and two walks over six frames. He struck out five batters.

Corbin Burnes started for Arizona, striking out eight in just 4 1/3 innings. He gave up four runs (two earned) on four hits and three walks.
Shelby Miller eventually picked up the win. Justin Martinez then earned a hold before A.J. Puk got his first save.
Will Warren started for New York, striking out four over five innings. He allowed two runs on a hit and four walks.
Fernando Cruz and Tim Hill earned holds before Mark Leiter Jr. was charged with the blown save and loss.

Shane Baz picked up the win after punching out 10 over six scoreless frames. He allowed seven hits and no walks.
Thomas Harrington took the loss after being tagged for six runs on seven hits and four walks over four frames. He struck out two batters.
Blue Jays 5, Nationals 3
Jose Berrios struck out eight batters over 5 2/3 innings for Toronto. He allowed two runs on four hits and three walks.
Yariel Rodriguez earned a hold before Mason Fluharty was charged with a blown save. Chad Green pitched next and got the win. Jeff Hoffman worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning to pick up his second save.
Trevor Williams started for Washington. In five innings, he allowed three runs on 10 hits and no walks, while punching out three.
Jose A. Ferrer eventually took the loss, after allowing two unearned runs.
Brewers 5, Royals 0
Chad Patrick started and worked the first 4 2/3 innings for Milwaukee. He allowed no runs on three hits and three walks, while striking out five.
Abner Uribe got the win after getting four outs.
Michael Lorenzen took the loss despite striking out seven batters over 5 1/3 innings. He allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks.

Simeon Woods Richardson started for Minnesota, working the first four innings. He gave up two runs on five hits and a walk, while striking out five.
Louis Varland, Cole Sands, Jorge Alcala and Griffin Jax earned holds before the Twins added insurance runs. Alcala struck out three batters in his inning, while Varland and Jax had two punchouts each.
Shane Smith worked the first 5 2/3 innings for Chicago, giving up two runs on two hits and four walks. He struck out three.
Penn Murfee pitched next and was tagged with the blown save and loss. He gave up three runs and didn't even get an out.

Kyle Hendricks tossed six innings for LA. He gave up two runs on seven hits, while striking out four and walking none.
Ian Anderson earned a hold before Ben Joyce was tagged with the blown save. Garrett McDaniels later earned a hold, even after allowing three runs (two earned).
Ryan Johnson was charged with a blown save, but also picked up the win. Ryan Zeferjahn got the save after recording the final two outs.
Matthew Liberatore started and struck out four over six innings for St. Louis. He allowed three runs on six hits and no walks.
Chris Roycroft eventually took the loss after allowing three runs (two earned) in the top of the 11th inning.

Logan Webb earned his first win after striking out six over seven strong innings. He gave up a run on five hits and no walks.
Tyler Rogers earned his second hold before Ryan Walker claimed his second save after a 1-2-3 ninth inning.
Hayden Wesneski took the loss after allowing three runs on two hits and three walks over five frames. He struck out six batters along the way.
Padres 7, Guardians 0
Michael King struck out 11 batters over five scoreless innings for San Diego. He allowed two hits and one walk.
Jeremiah Estrada and Jason Adam earned holds for the Padres - Adam already has three holds.
Logan Allen took the loss after giving up four runs on seven hits and five walks over 5 1/3 frames. He struck out just one batter.
Tigers 4, Mariners 1
Casey Mize outdueled Logan Gilbert in this one. Mize had six strikeouts and just one hit and three walks allowed over 5 2/3 scoreless innings.
Beau Brieske and Will Vest picked up holds for the Tigers. Tommy Kahnle then claimed his first save after tossing a scoreless ninth.
Gilbert struck out 10 over five innings. He gave up three runs on five hits and one walk.
Athletics 7, Athletics 4
Justin Steele earned his second win after striking out six over 6 2/3 innings. He gave up four runs on seven hits and one walk.
Julian Merryweather and Porter Hodge earned holds for Chicago - Hodge has three holds already. Ryan Pressly then locked down the Athletics in the ninth to get his second save.
Luis Severino took his first loss after being tagged for six runs (five earned) on six hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out six batters at least.
Dodgers 3, Braves 1
Dustin May started for LA and worked the first five innings. He gave up an unearned run on one hit and three walks, while punching out six.
Anthony Banda pitched next and got the win. Alex Vesia and Blake Treinen earned their second holds before Tanner Scott got his second save of the year.
Chris Sale lost his first game after working the first five innings. He allowed three runs on four hits, while striking out five and walking none.

San Francisco's Jordan Hicks is the top waiver wire pitcher - he's up 5.08% as of the time of publication.
Kansas City's Kris Bubic was added in 4.87% of leagues, while Detroit's Mize got a 4.85% boost. Cincinnati's Brady Singer was added in 4.4% of leagues.
Chicago White Sox' Sean Burke is up 4.28% today. LA Dodgers' May got a 3.85% boost, while Pittsburgh's Dennis Santana is up 3.53%. Santana is on the rise after the Pirates sent down closer David Bednar.
Athletics' Jeffrey Springs is up 3% today. Minnesota's Woods Richardson got a 2.68% boost, while Texas' Jack Leiter was added in 2.67% of leagues.
