Moses Moody Fantasy Outlook
Moody was added in 7.77% of fantasy leagues, bringing his total mark of 17.61%. He’s seen an increase in playing time recently, and it’s led to more production and his own percentage rising.
Over the past four games, Moody has scored either 11 or 13 points. He has 3.5 rebounds, 2.23 assists and 0.5 steals and blocks over 27.8 minutes. On the season, Moody is averaging 8.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.5 steals and 0.3 blocks across 17.4 minutes.
He’s still coming off the bench, but his increase in minutes has bumped up his overall numbers. Moody is worth adding for the time being in deeper leagues. I don’t expect it to last for the rest of the season, but he's definitely worth utilizing now.
Once his playing time or production falls off, you can probably safely move on to another waiver wire option who's on a hot streak.
Vit Krejci Fantasy Outlook
Krejci is up 5.79% and sitting at 24.53% overall. Krejci continues to post solid numbers, which has put him in several of these waiver wire articles of late.
He’s started eight straight games, and is averaging 10.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.6 blocks across 27.8 minutes. Across 28 games and 11 starts this season, Krejci is averaging 5.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks across 18.4 minutes.
It’s easy to see that he’s playing better of late. Like in the case with Moody, Krejci is worth an add in several deeper leagues. You can roster and start him for the time being, then move on once his playing time or production falls off.
I wouldn’t wait, instead adding Krejci now to take advantage of his improved play.
Cason Wallace Fantasy Outlook
Wallace is rostered in 56.57% of leagues after a recent 5.52% bump up. He’s been a pretty consistent performer of late, and that’s a big reason why he’s being added in fantasy leagues.
Over his last nine games, which he’s started eight of, Wallace is averaging 11.6 points, 4 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.2 blocks across 31.8 minutes. In 42 games and 28 starts this season, Wallace is averaging 7.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.7 steals and 0.6 blocks.
OKC is missing several rotation players right now, and it’s afforded Wallace some more playing time. He’s taking advantage of the opportunities and has worked his way up to a standard league streaming option as a result.
He’s likely not a long-term solution, but if you need a little help over the next few games or weeks, I’m fine adding and playing Wallace. Once OKC gets healthier, I’d expect Wallace’s role to decrease, but he’ll still be a pretty good deep-league option.
Daniel Gafford Fantasy Outlook
Gafford was added in 5.38% of leagues and is owned in 96.48% overall now. It’s rare to see a player with this high of an own percentage make the list. He’s been starting and playing more of late, and it’s boosted his fantasy value in a big way.
Across the past four games (all starts), Gafford is averaging 29.2 minutes, 20 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.8 steals and 3.5 blocks. In 42 games and 19 starts this season, Gafford is averaging 20.6 minutes, 12.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.6 blocks.
Even at his season averages, Gafford was a pretty solid standard league fantasy option. The added minutes and production has turned Gafford into a great standard league option.
Dallas recently said Gafford could be available in a trade, but the big man is making a case to retain his spot on the roster - this also could be the team’s way of boosting his trade value. Whatever the case, Gafford is on a tear right now and should be rostered in all leagues until further notice. A trade would probably afford him the opportunity to keep up his recent numbers for the rest of the season.
Keon Ellis Fantasy Outlook
Ellis got a 4.75% bump and sits at 28.4% overall. He’s a streaky player, and sees his own percentage fluctuate depending on how he’s performing of late.
Ellis has alternated single- and double-digit scoring performances over the past five games, with one more single-digit outing. He has five assists and steals, 10 rebounds and one block combined over that span. For the season (41 games, 10 starts), Ellis is averaging 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 0.7 blocks across 21.4 minutes.
There’s enough production to roster Ellis in deep leagues and dynasties (as a 25-year-old in his third season), but the inconsistent results mean his own percentage is going to keep rising and falling all season.
I’d personally try to look for a more permanent option in most deeper leagues instead of adding and dropping players all the time. If you want to stream Ellis, target him during favorable stretches of defensive matchups.
