I’m back with another DFS article. We’ll put together another DraftKings lineup for Tuesday, January 28.

We’ll again use FantasySP’s projections and defensive rankings for help in our suggestions. It’s also worth noting that several teams are playing the second night of a back-to-back, so be sure to check the injury report for the latest on who is in and who is out.

Let’s dive in!

Explore the best in-season tool to manage lineup/start decisions including waiver pickups, projections, trade suggestions, trade value charts, rest of season rankings, power rankings, and tons more with Fantasy Assistant. Use our fantasy basketball trade analyzer and the Trade Value Chart to break down trade scenarios.

Point Guard - Damian Lillard ($8,700)

We’re starting off strong with Lillard. He’s averaging 55.1 fantasy points over the past 10 days on DraftKings.

He’s facing his old team, who he scored just 16 fantasy points against in the team’s first meeting this season. I’m taking Lillard for what he’s done lately though, and I think it’s a bargain for the salary he’s at.

Portland is also one of the most favorable matchups for guards, so I like Lillard to redeem himself in this clash. He is projected for the third-most fantasy points on the night.

Shooting Guard - Anfernee Simons ($6,100)

I’m sticking in the same game to grab Simons, who is averaging 31.7 fantasy points per game over the past 10 days.

He was great in the first matchup against Milwaukee, scoring 44.25 fantasy points. The Bucks are a team to take advantage of when it comes to playing fantasy guards.

Simons is projected for the 23rd-most fantasy points on the night. I think he will finish even higher, and is a steal at his salary.

Small Forward - Vit Krejci ($5,500)

Krejci is another cheaper option that I’m hoping can go off tonight. He’s averaging 24.4 fantasy points over the past 10 days, and that’s after scoring just 19.25 points his last time out.

His matchup against the Rockets is tougher, regardless if you classify him as a guard or forward. Coming off a game last night, I like Krejci to find a little success against Houston.

Power Forward - Andrew Wiggins ($6,800)

I grabbed Wiggins at the power forward spot. He’s averaging 34.4 fantasy points over the past 10 days.

In his first matchup against Utah this season, Wiggins recorded 39.75 fantasy points, and he shot just 3-of-10 in that contest.

Utah is a pretty average matchup overall. He’s tied for the 17th-most fantasy points on Tuesday night.

Center - Brook Lopez ($5,700)

Lopez is tied for 23rd in the nightly fantasy projections. He’s scored 27.2 fantasy points per game over the past 10 days.

In the first clash with Portland, Lopez scored 16.5 fantasy points. This time could be much different, as Portland struggles to slow opposing fantasy centers.

Guard - Austin Reaves ($7,800)

Reaves is averaging 36.3 fantasy points per game over the past 10 days. He hasn’t scored under 32 points in any of his past four appearances.

In the first meeting this season, Reaves tallied 42 fantasy points against the Sixers. Philly is one of the most favorable matchups for a forward, so Reaves should post another big score.

He’s tied for the 12th-most fantasy points in the nightly projections, and could finish even higher depending on who else the Lakers have available.

Forward - Max Christie ($4,200)

Christie is projected for the 40th-most fantasy points on the night. He’s averaging 17.7 fantasy points per game over the past 10 days on DraftKings.

Christie barely played in the first clash against Philly. He’s regularly playing around 30 minutes now, and I think he can accumulate enough stats over that time to be a good fantasy asset.

Utility - Isaiah Collier ($5,200)

Collier is averaging 30.3 fantasy points per game over the past 10 days. He scored 30.5 points on Monday night and can fill up the stat sheet to score consistently.

Collier has not faced the Warriors at all this season. Opposing guards have a slightly above-average matchup when they face Golden State this year.

He’s tied for 33rd in the nightly fantasy projections.

DFS Recap

In my last DFS lineup on Friday, January 24, I had a decent showing.

I took Tyrese Maxey for my point guard and he scored 52.25 fantasy points to power my team.

I also got 40+-point showings from Desmond Bane (42.5) and Kelly Oubre Jr. (48.75). Guerschon Yabusele (37.75) and Nick Smith Jr. (34.25) also were really good.

My lineup was hurt with Miles Bridges and Robert Williams III out with injuries. I suggested Deni Avdija as a replacement if Bridges were out, and Avdija scored 36.25 fantasy points. I suggested several replacements for Williams; here’s how they fared: Ricky Council IV (0), Max Strus (24.75), Dean Wade (12.5), Georges Niang (13.8), Justin Edwards (31).

Had I been able to swap out my lineup, I would have been one of the better finishers, especially if I had gone with Strus or Edwards in place of Williams.
