Predicting the Top Eastern Conference Fantasy Basketball Players for the Rest of the Season: Evan Mobley, Karl-Anthony Towns, Franz Wagner, Tyler Herro, Tyrese Maxey and More
Morgan picks each team's top fantasy basketball player for the remainder of the season.
The NBA All-Star break is a perfect time to review, but also a good time to look ahead. In this article, I'll highlight the best fantasy players from each team so far, and then predict the top fantasy players for the remainder of the season.
I'll be using data from NBA.com when it comes to stats and fantasy points. We'll start with the Eastern Conference - check back soon for the Western Conference story.

Cavaliers
Evan Mobley is the top Cleveland fantasy scorer on a per game basis, averaging 39.3 points. Donovan Mitchell is at 39.2 points per contest.
It will be a battle between those two for the top fantasy player the rest of the season, but I'd give the edge to Mobley because he doesn't have to rely as much on scoring to put up big fantasy totals.
Celtics
Jayson Tatum is easily the top Boston fantasy player so far, averaging 48.2 fantasy points per game. Jaylen Brown (39.2) is a distant second, while Kristaps Porzingis is at 36.9
I think Tatum continues to lead the charge after the All-Star break. Brown and Porzingis are still great fantasy options.
Knicks
It's been Karl-Anthony Towns who has led the Knicks so far. He's averaging 48.6 points per game. Jalen Brunson is at 41.2 points, while Josh Hart is at 38.6 points.
Towns should continue to lead the charge in the latter part of the regular season. Of course, Brunson is still a great option, and Hart is a bit of an underrated option who might be worth trading for.
Pacers
Tyrese Haliburton has led Indiana with 38.9 fantasy points per game so far. Pascal Siakam is at 37.6 points a game.
I'm leaning toward Haliburton being the best fantasy option after the All-Star break, but Siakam could definitely be the top option too. In the end, it will probably be much like before the All-Star break, with Haliburton barely edging out Siakam.
Bucks
Giannis Antetokounmpo easily leads the Bucks in fantasy points per game so far at 58 per game. Damian Lillard has been really good as well, contributing 43.8 points.
Antetokounmpo is going to lead Milwaukee when he's on the court, and that won't change after the All-Star break. Lillard is another great fantasy asset, and I'd expect him to average more fantasy points than he did before the break.
Pistons
Cade Cunningham has been the top Detroit fantasy player so far, averaging 47.9 points per game so far.
Cunningham will power the Pistons after the All-Star break as well. Even though everyone knows Cunningham is a fantasy star, I still wouldn't mind trading for him, because I still think he's a bit undervalued.
Magic
Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero lead Orlando in fantasy points per game so far. Wagner is at 42.5 points, while Banchero is at 39.9 points.
I see Wagner continuing to lead the way for the remainder of the season. Banchero might be the preferred fantasy player though, so it's worth looking into the trade value of both guys.
Hawks
Trae Young leads Atlanta with 44.1 fantasy points per game so far.
Jalen Johnson averaged 43.1 points, but is out for the remainder of the season. That should allow Young to easily lead the team after the break, and probably average more fantasy points than he had before the break.
Heat
Bam Adebayo leads the Heat at 39.4 fantasy points per game, while Tyler Herro is at 38.9.
I think it will be Herro leading the charge for the rest of the season, but he and Adebayo will be neck and neck.
Bulls
Nikola Vucevic is the top fantasy player still remaining on the Bulls. He's averaged 39.8 points per game so far.
Vucevic should have no issues leading the team the remainder of the season. I still think he's underrated, so he might be worth acquiring in a trade.
76ers
Tyrese Maxey leads the 76ers with 45.2 fantasy points per game, while Joel Embiid is at 43.9 in the 17 games he's played.
I like Maxey to lead the way the remainder of the season. He's the better fantasy option anyway, because he won't miss nearly as many games as Embiid will.
Nets
Cam Thomas is the Nets' top fantasy scorer so far, averaging 33.7 points per game. He hasn't played since early January, but is expected back soon. Thomas should continue to lead the team.
Cameron Johnson (30.7) or Nicolas Claxton (27.8) could also contend for the top spot, but will likely see their averages drop when Thomas returns to the court.
Raptors
Scottie Barnes has pretty easily led the way for Toronto, averaging 43.9 points per game. RJ Barrett (38.6) and Brandon Ingram (37.3) are the next two best fantasy assets on the team.
I'll be curious to see what the return/debut of Ingram on the Raptors does for Barnes, but I still think he leads the team as a fantasy performer.
Hornets
LaMelo Ball is the Hornets' top fantasy player, averaging 45.6 fantasy points per game. Miles Bridges is a distant second at 36.2 points.
I have Ball easily leading the way the rest of the season, but he and Bridges averaging more fantasy points per game with Brandon Miller done for the season.
Wizards
Jordan Poole is the top Washington fantasy player so far, averaging 34.8 points per game.
Poole should easily lead the charge the rest of the season, even when the Wizards add some of the veterans they acquired at the deadline to the rotation.
