Cole Anthony Fantasy Outlook
Anthony is up 6.32% today and sitting at 38.76% overall. He's scored 20 and 22 points over the past two games, so it's no surprise to see Anthony rising.
Anthony also has eight rebounds, 12 assists, four blocks and two steals combined over those two games. It's unlikely that he'll keep performing this well, but for the time being, he's definitely worth waiver wire consideration.
Seeing his own percentage right now, I think he's a bit undervalued. Sure, the numbers over the past two games won't keep up for super long, but even his season averages of 9.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.5 blocks over 18.6 minutes are solid in deeper leagues.
He's starting when he's active now, and stuffing the stat sheet a lot better than his season averages say. I'd be for adding Anthony in more deeper leagues, at least until he cools off a bit.
Brandon Williams Fantasy Outlook
Williams is rostered in 50.39% of leagues after a 6.12% bump. He's seen a rise in playing time since Kyrie Irving was lost for the season, and his own percentage is skyrocketing as a result - he was barely owned in any leagues on March 5.
On March 5, he tallied 14 points, eight assists, five rebounds and two steals across 34 minutes off the bench. Williams played nearly 34 minutes off the bench on March 7, tallying 31 points, six assists, five rebounds and one steal. He started on March 9, but only played 23 minutes - Williams still had 13 points, five rebounds and assists and three steals.
Dallas is still trying to figure out who to play in the absence of Irving, and Williams is definitely making the most of the extra playing time. We'll have to keep an eye on his playing time, as his fantasy ceiling will be capped if he's only playing half of games, but I think his own percentage is good, and could increase a little bit before he plays again.
Naji Marshall Fantasy Outlook
Marshall is up 5.75% and owned in 76.74% of leagues overall. He's started the past three games for the Mavs, and delivered big results in each contest.
On March 5, Marshall had 22 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 32 minutes. He then posted 29 points, 17 rebounds and two assists and steals across 40 minutes on March 7. Marshall went for 34 points, 10 assists, nine rebounds and two steals across 41 minutes on March 9.
Marshall is maybe the best Dallas scorer with the current group of players the Mavs have available. I love the idea of adding him in any leagues.
If he's still available in a deeper league, absolutely scoop him up now. In standard leagues, I think he's also worth at least a short-term add. Marshall should only be added if you have a roster spot to play with, or if he's outperforming someone near the end of your roster.
I don't anticipate Marshall remaining this great of a fantasy asset all season, but for now, he should be utilized.
Brandon Clarke Fantasy Outlook
Clarke got added in 5.27% of leagues and is rostered in 45.35% of leagues. Clarke had been on a roll of late, but struggled in his last outing.
He went for two points, five rebounds and a block and steal across 16 minutes off the bench in his last appearance. Clarke had scored in double figures in each of the previous five games before that. He accumulated 38 rebounds, nine assists, one steal and six blocks over that stretch.
Clarke is a fine option in deeper leagues, but his inconsistencies are going to hold him back from being a standard league option. I'd personally like to look for a waiver wire option who plays more on a nightly basis (he averaged 22.3 minutes a game over that strong five-game stretch) but also see enough fantasy production to try Clarke in some leagues.
Lonnie Walker IV Fantasy Outlook
Walker is owned in 6.98% of leagues after a 4.69% boost. He's upped his play of late, so again, it's easy to see why his value is rising.
Walker has scored in double figures in three of the past four games, including 17- and 25-point outings in his past two appearances. He usually doesn't fill the stat sheet all that much, but went for 11 rebounds and five assists in his last contest.
I honestly am a bit surprised to see his own percentage as low as it is after his last game. I'm not saying to add him in all deeper leagues, but I'd have expected him to be at least around 20% with his numbers of late. Take advantage of his improved play if you can.
Bennedict Mathurin Fantasy Outlook
Mathurin is up 4.49% and sitting at 69.38% overall now. He's coming off a 30-point game, so this surge in own percentage makes sense.
Before that big scoring output, Mathurin had hit double digits in points just once over the previous three games, and he scored just 10 points in that contest. That makes his last appearance look like an outlier.
I think he's a “tweener” when it comes to fantasy - he should be rostered in all deeper leagues, but isn't worth a roster spot in most standard setups. If you have a roster spot to play with, I have no issues streaming him for his next game to see if he is at the start of a hot streak.
Kyle Filipowski Fantasy Outlook
Filipowski is up another 4.06% and is owned in 65.89% overall. He's been playing very well of late, so his own percentage just keeps rising.
In the past six games, in which he's started three times and averaged 26.9 minutes a game, Filipowski is averaging 18.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks. That's more than enough production to roster him in all deeper leagues, and he's entering standard league territory now.
His fantasy ceiling is capped a bit by Walker Kessler being on the team, but he's also been missing games of late. I'd say Filipowski is almost a must-stream player if Kessler is ever out, while being a decent fantasy asset when Kessler is active.
Add Filipowski if your team needs post help, and keep very close tabs on him, because he could become unavailable in your league in a hurry if he keeps playing this well.
Mason Plumlee Fantasy Outlook
Plumlee is owned in 13.57% of leagues after a 4.03% boost. He's scored in double figures in three straight games, so he's on the rise.
Plumlee is averaging 15 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.3 steals and blocks across 23.8 minutes per game over the past three.
Those numbers aren't likely to stick, so taking advantage of things while he's in a groove is the move. Utilize him in deeper leagues, but look elsewhere if you want long-term help.
Other Waiver Wire Options
Philadelphia's Adem Bona is up 3.88% - that's also his own percentage overall. Teammate Justin Edwards got a 2.42% boost and is rostered in 8.53% of leagues now. Quentin Grimes is up 1.6% and rostered in 80.23% of leagues overall.
Miami's Kel'el Ware got added in 3.75% of leagues and is rostered in 70.54% of leagues.
