Week 3 is almost here and there are a ton of questions surrounding a bunch of big-named players who are dealing with injuries. Here are all the latest updates on the fantasy players who may or may not be active this week.

Week 3 Injury Report

Quarterbacks

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals (Calf)

Burrow is yet to be able to practice this week and is considered questionable for Monday Night Football. However, being that the game is on Monday night he has more time to get himself ready to play. He is also a guy that doesn't need to practice to suit up. There is a good chance we won't know what his status will be until Monday. Be sure to have a Plan B if you're planning on starting him this week. We covered possible options for this scenario in our Last Minute Waiver Wire Pickups article.

Anthony Richardson, Indianapolis Colts (Concussion)

Richardson was unable to clear the concussion protocol and will sit out this week. Gardner Minshew will start in his absence.

Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers (Ankle)

Young has been ruled out for Week 3 with an ankle injury. According to reports, he is also in serious jeopardy of missing Week 4 as well. Andy Dalton will start in his place.

CJ Stroud, Houston Texans (Shoulder)

Stroud has been dealing with a shoulder injury this week and is considered questionable to play. He has been able to practice, but is said to be on an "arm management program." It appears as if there is a real question surrounding his availability this week. If he's out, Davis Mills is expected to start.

Running Backs

Austin Ekeler, Los Angeles Chargers (Ankle)

Ekeler has once again been ruled out this week with an ankle injury leaving Jushua Kelley as the back for Los Angeles.

Jamaal Williams, New Orleans Saints (Hamstring)

Williams hasn't officially been ruled out yet, but is fully expected to miss this week and probably at least one more week after that. There is a chance he lands on injured reserve as well. Tony Jones Jr. and Kendre Miller will likely be in some sort of time split.

Justice Hill, Baltimore Ravens (Toe)

Hill's toe injury is bad enough to hold him out this week as the team has now officially ruled him out. Gus Edwards will serve as the RB1 with Melvin Gordon and Kenyan Drake likely seeing limited touches behind him.

David Montgomery, Detroit Lions (Thigh)

Montgomery is reportedly improving well from his thigh injury. However, he is still listed as doubtful this week. Jahmyr Gibbs should see an uptick in work on Sunday, and Craig Reynolds could become fantasy-relevant.

Boston Scott, Philadelphia Eagles (Concussion)

Scott will not play this week due to a concussion. He was never an option to start, but he is a general annoyance to the Eagles' running backs who can be started. This helps to clear up the backfield a bit.

Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers (Hamstring)

Jones is officially listed as questionable for Week 3. He's not a lock to play but seems to be trending in the right direction after getting in limited practice all week.

Isiah Pacheco, Kansas City Chiefs (Hamstring)

Pacheco is listed as questionable for Week 3 after getting in a few limited practices this week. We don't really have a good read on this one and it could go either way. If you are relying on Pacheco this week you should go grab Jerick McKinnon if possible or in a worst-case scenario Clyde Edwards-Hellaire.

Cordarelle Patterson, Atlanta Falcons (Thigh)

Patterson is once again listed as questionable after missing the first two games of the season. You won't be starting him even if he plays, but it will be interesting to see what his workload looks like in the "joker" role.

Kenneth Gainwell, Philadelphia Eagles (Ribs)

After sitting out Week 2, Gainwell looks to be on the right side of questionable for Week 3. After D'Andre Swift's monster game last week and Gainwell being the clear RB1 in Week 1, this backfield is very much a question mark this week assuming he suits up.

Kendre Miller, New Orleans Saints, (Hamstring)

Miller looks set to make his NFL regular season debut. With Williams out, there is a chance he sees feature-back snaps, although, there is also a chance he splits touches with Jones Jr.

Wide Receivers

Jaylen Waddle, Miami Dolphins (Concussion)

Waddle was able to practice on Friday and has a shot to play this week. We may not know his game status until Sunday morning. He's officially questionable for Week 3.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions (Toe)

After getting a full practice in Friday, St. Brown looks like he should be good to go this weekend. However, he is still worth monitoring in case of a setback.

Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (Oblique)

Nacua was able to practice on Friday and looks to be trending in the right direction for Week 3. We expect to see him out there.

DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks (Ribs)

Metcalf is officially listed as questionable, but the Seahawks' coaching staff is confident he will be able to play this week.

DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles (Hamstring)

Smith is listed as questionable, but with an extra day to rest, he should be good to go for Monday night. Nevertheless, he is worth monitoring.

Kadarius Toney, Kansas City Chiefs (Toe)

Toney is forever hurt and is in danger of missing any given week. He can't be relied on and isn't worth the headache.

DeAndre Hopkins, Tennessee Titans (Ankle)

Hopkins was a full practice on Wednesday, limited on Thursday, and did not practice on Friday. While in-week downgrades are usually troubling, in Hopkins's case it's probably just maintenance.

Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers (Hamstring)

Watson is once again questionable and looks like a true game-time decision for Week 3. He is yet to suit up this season and his status for this week is once again unclear.

Odell Beckham Jr, Baltimore Ravens (Ankle)

If you are relying on Beckham to win your fantasy week in 2023 you have bigger issues, but his absence could open up a few more targets for relevant fantasy assets like Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews

Tight Ends

Logan Thomas, Washington Commanders (Concussion)

Thomas has been ruled out for Week 3 with a concussion. He had been seeing a nice target share prior to getting injured.

Irv Smith Jr, Cincinnati Bengals (Hamstring)

Smith is now dealing with a hamstring that popped up mid-week which is never a good sign. He's considered questionable and we don't know much more than that as of now.
