Everyone has at least one hole in their fantasy football roster due to injuries (maybe you drafted Justin Jefferson), underperformance (Najee Harris, anyone?), or just bad drafting (not you, of course). However, holes can be filled and there are almost always good streaming options. It’s just a matter of finding them.

With six teams on byes this week, streaming is going to be even more important this week! I'll be here every week trying to unearth the best streaming options that you can likely find on waivers and plug into your starting lineup for that week. There are some good ones out there for Week 8, so let's dig in!

Quarterback

C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

Stroud has easily outplayed fellow top pick Bryce Young (who he'll face this week) and hasn't finished below QB17 since Week 1. Moreso, he's averaging just over 17 fantasy points per week and is QB12 on the year in terms of points per game. For Week 8, Stroud is coming off a bye week and will get to face the lowly Panthers. With the lackluster quality of quarterback play around the league, Stroud has a good chance at finishing as a QB1 this week.

Russell Wilson, Denver Broncos

It's fun to pick on Mr. Unlimited, but he's putting together a very solid fantasy season. Averaging almost 17 fantasy points per game, Russell Wilson sits at QB14 in terms of points per game scoring and is well-positioned to finish as a top-12 quarterback this week. While he had his worst game of the season against the Chiefs two weeks ago, he'll get a chance to face them at home this week and should be throwing a lot in order to keep up with Mahomes and Co.

Running Back

Darrell Henderson, Los Angeles Rams

This comes with the disclaimer of "who knows what Sean McVay will do", but Henderson looks like the bellcow back in Los Angeles for now. After being signed off his couch just a week ago, Henderson saw 19 touches for the Rams last week. He should theoretically see at least as many touches this week against the Cowboys and can be considered a safe RB2 play.

D'Onta Foreman, Chicago Bears

Foreman comes with a little more uncertainty than Henderson as Roschon Johnson returns from injury, but he played his way into at least a timeshare with his monster Week 7. While Johnson will likely eat into Foreman's upside this week, the veteran should be able to finish as an RB2 -- even if he doesn't find the end zone three times like he did last week.

Wide Receiver

K.J. Osborn, Minnesota Vikings

Jordan Addison may have had a coming out party on Monday Night Football, but K.J. Osborn looked pretty darn good too as he caught five balls for 47 yards on six targets. While those aren't league-winning numbers, Osborn has cemeted himself as the third option in the Vikings' passing game and should continue to see 5-7 targets against the Packers this week.

Demario Douglas, New England Patriots

We're digging deeper here, but Douglas saw a big jump in usage last week with six targets that went for four catches and 54 yards. Douglas is easily the Patriots' most explosive player on offense and should continue to see his role grow for the Patriots. There's an obvious risk here as it's impossible to predict what Bill Belichick will do, but Douglas has some upside for deeper fantasy leagues.

Tight End

Jonnu Smith, Atlanta Falcons

I'm not sure if Smith counts as sneaky as he's TE12 on the season, but I feel like he keeps getting put in the TE15-20 range in most peoples' rankings so I'm leaving him here. While he only saw three targets last week, Smith has consistently seen 6-8 targets since Week 1 and is one of the better streaming options amongst a barren tight end landscape. There's also the revenge factor if you believe in that stuff as he'll face his former Titans team this week.

Trey McBride, Arizona Cardinals

With Zach Ertz headed to IR, McBride should have plenty of opportunities to fill the void. He hasn't put up a big game yet this season, but he's been dangerously close. Over the past two weeks, McBride has seen 11 targets so the usage is there and should theoretically increase at least a little bit against the Ravens.

Alright, my friends. That’ll do it for this week.

I wish you all the best of luck in Week 8, and I’ll see you back here next week to see if we can find some hidden gems for Week 9!
