Week 9 Injury Report
Quarterbacks
Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals (Knee)
Murray is officially listed as questionable and the decision on his status for Week 9 likely won't be made until Saturday at the earliest. If he was to play it would be his season debut. If he doesn't play, Clayton Tune will get the start for the Cards.
Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams (Thumb)
Stafford is listed as questionable for Sunday and is expected to be a game-time decision. The decision will likely be made based on how Stafford feels during pre-game warmups.
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears (Thumb)
The good news is that Fields returned to the practice field on Friday for the first time since injuring his thumb. The bad news is that he is still listed as doubtful for this week. This at least gives us some hope that he may be just a week or two away from a return to action.
Running Backs
Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers (Hamstring)
Jones is listed as questionable for Week 9 but is expected to play. We also got encouraging news from Head Coach Matt LeFleur who said that it's time to "cut him loose." He could finally be rounding back into form and ready to take over the backfield again.
Emari Demercado, Arizona Cardinals (Toe)
After taking over as the clear-cut lead back in Arizona, Demercado has now been ruled out for Week 9 due to a toe injury. This is a tough loss for fantasy owners relying on him this week. The backfield will now be some combination of Keontay Ingram and Damien Williams most likely. The team also brought Tony Jones back up to the active roster.
Dameon Pierce, Houston Texans (Ankle)
Pierce has been ruled out for Week 9 with an ankle injury. This should leave almost all the touches to Devin Singletary. At this point, fantasy owners are probably better with one of those two out regardless of which one. They were sinking fantasy teams with both active. Now Singletary has a shot to have a big game despite a bad matchup.
Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals (Chest)
Mixon is a bit banged up and is officially listed as questionable for Week 9. Nevertheless, he is fully expected to play and reports are that he's "good to go."
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs (Illness)
CEH has been ruled out for Week 9 with an illness. This could give Isiah Pacheco a slight boost, especially with Jerick McKinnon also a bit banged up with a groin injury. McKinnon is expected to play though.
Jerome Ford, Cleveland Browns (Ankle)
Ford got in a full practice on Friday and is expected to once again play through his high-ankle sprain.
Wide Receivers
Joshua Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers (Knee)
As of Friday, Palmer has not been able to practice at all this week. Being that the Chargers are playing on Monday Night Football there is still a chance he's able to suit up, but it's not looking great for him at the moment.
Puka Nacua, Los Angeles Rams (Knee)
Nacua was able to practice this week, but only on a limited basis. He is currently listed as questionable for Sunday's game. We would guess that he's out there, however, you should still monitor this situation.
Drake London, Atlanta Falcons (Groin)
London has been ruled out for Week 9 with a groin injury. Van Jefferson should see an increased role in the passing attack.
Curtis Samuel, Washington Commanders (Toe)
Samuel has been ruled out for Week 9 with a toe injury. Last week we saw Jamison Crowder go off with Samuel off the field.
Josh Downs, Indianapolis Colts (Knee)
Downs is listed as questionable for Week 9 with a knee injury, but it sounds like he is fully expected to play through it.
DeVante Parker, New England Patriots (Concussion)
Parker failed to pass the concussion protocol and has been ruled out for Week 9.
Michael Wilson, Arizona Cardinals (Shoulder)
Wilson is listed as questionable this week with a shoulder injury and his status looks to be completely up in the air. He should not be started this week with the quarterback and injury situations causing too many concerns for an unproven player.
Tight Ends
Darren Waller, New York Giants (Hamstring)
Waller has been ruled out for Week 9 with a hamstring injury. Daniel Bellinger should see an increased workload.
Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Chargers (Hip)
After sitting out last week with a hip injury it looks like Everett will return this week. He logged full practices on both Thursday and Friday. Being that this game is on Monday night he hasn't officially been removed from the injury report yet though. Last week, he did practice in full before sitting out. Nonetheless, we expect him out there. Just be sure to monitor the situation.
