Best NFL DFS Plays Week 12: Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Trey McBride
Dr. Roto shares his favorite NFL DFS plays for Week 12's main slate!
Best DFS Quarterback Plays Week 12
Josh Allen, Bills
I really like this spot for Josh Allen and the Bills. This feels like a let-down game for the Eagles after their huge victory against the Chiefs. Allen hasn't had one of those traditionally amazing Josh Allen weeks in quite some time, and I love the Bills as a road underdog and a great fantasy play. If it weren't for a few errant drops from the Chiefs, the outcome of last week’s game would have been completely different for the Eagles. I think the Bills' receivers make those catches and pull out the victory as Allen has about 275 yards and two touchdowns.
Gardner Minshew III, Colts
Minshew feels like he is very under the radar. The Colts run the most plays in the league because they play with such a fast pace, and when you play with a fast pace, it gives your team more opportunities to score. Tampa has allowed four rushing touchdowns to opposing quarterbacks and Minshew is way more mobile than most people realize. I think he throws for about 240 yards and at least one touchdown, with a good chance of running one in as well.
Kyler Murray, Cardinals
I love going back to last week’s biggest disappointment, and Murray is that player for me. He started out hot against Houston, throwing for an early TD to Rondale Moore, but after that he struggled to find his receivers and could not get anything going. The Rams' secondary has been soft all season and let up a lot of explosive plays downfield. This might even be the week that Murray finds Hollywood Brown for a long-distance TD.
Desmond Ridder, Falcons
Ridder is mostly a train wreck, but he’s only going to cost $4800 on DraftKings and might have the best chance of going 5x, especially if he runs for a TD.

Best DFS Running Back Plays Week 12
Rachaad White, Bucs
This game is the fastest-paced of the slate, and it will be played in a dome, which makes it even faster. White already gets about 80-85% of the team’s touches, which always makes him one of my favorite players to start. I am locking him into all my lineups.
Kyren Williams, Rams
A few weeks ago, I decided not to play David Montgomery in his first game back, and it cost me big time because he was outstanding. I don't want to make that mistake with Williams against the Cardinals, who have been a sieve to opposing running backs. They've allowed the second-most rushing TDs and the third-most rushing yards to opposing running backs. Most importantly, Matthew Stafford is not 100%, and the Rams need Williams to take the pressure off him. I think that all happens and Williams gets about 90 yards and a touchdown.
Jerome Ford, Browns
Even though I've listed Ford third on my list, he may be my favorite DFS play this week. The Broncos have let up a whopping 5.8 yards per carry as well as the most rushing yards to opposing running backs. Moreover, they have allowed the fourth-most touchdowns and the fifth-most receptions to opposing running backs. Ford has been a bulldozer this year, and I think he has a good chance to score two touchdowns.
Isiah Pacheco, Chiefs
Pacheco is a much better play on FanDuel, which values TDs more and receptions less. Las Vegas has been especially generous to opposing running back and I think Pacheco has two-TD upside.
Best DFS Wide Receiver Plays Week 12
Stefon Diggs, Bills
The Eagles' secondary has let up the second-most touchdowns to opposing receivers along with the fifth-most receiving yards. Moreover, they have allowed the most receptions to opposing teams because other teams know they can throw on them. I truly believe that this is a let-down game for the Eagles and Stefon Diggs desperately wants to see more of the football after barely being used against the Jets. Allen to Diggs is my favorite hookup in Week 12, and I'm going to play them liberally.
Michael Pittman, Colts
The Buccaneer secondary lets up 9.8 yards per target, along with the third-most passing yards in the league. The Colts are coming off a bye week and must know that the way to beat Tampa is to throw downfield and try to make some explosive plays. There's no more explosive player than Michael Pittman for the Colts. I like his chances of 100 yards and a touchdown.
Puka Nacua, Rams
I like Nacua for two main reasons: The first is that there is a good chance that Cooper Kupp will miss the game with an injury. Secondly, even if Kupp is active, Arizona plays a ton of zone coverage, which is exactly what Nacua thrives against. Watch the inactive list closely, and don’t be afraid to make a late swap to Nacua the second Kupp’s ability to play is determined.
Rashid Shaheed, Saints
Falcons cover CB A.J. Terrell will stick with Chris Olave, leaving Shaheed with the best chance to make a huge play downfield. When you are choosing a lower-priced receiver, it’s extremely important to look for players who can make big plays, and Shaheed is one of the best at that in the league.
Best DFS Tight End Plays Week 12
Travis Kelce, Chiefs
Kansas City was embarrassed against Philadelphia, so I expect them to come out and put the lumber on Las Vegas. Kelce, in particular, had some drops and was underwhelming, so I think he has a huge rebound game against a division rival and has an excellent chance at scoring multiple TDs.
Trey McBride, Cardinals
The Rams have been awful against opposing tight ends, allowing the second-most TDs this season. McBride has been a revelation for both Arizona and DFS players, providing great statistics at a very difficult position to fill. This game has a good chance to shoot out, and the Murray/McBride/Nacua correlation is one of my favorites on the slate.
Evan Engram, Jaguars
The last time these two teams played, Engram had seven catches for 67 yards. The crazy thing about Engram this season is that he's had no touchdowns, so this should be a good chance for some touchdown regression. The Texans allow the second-most receptions to opposing tight ends and I think Engram may be one of the sneakier plays on the slate.
David Njoku, Browns
We all know how bad Denver is against opposing tight ends: They've allowed the most receiving yards and are tied for allowing the second-most receptions. They also allow 9.03 yards per target and a 79% catch rate. Where I especially like Njoku is in the red zone, where I think his size will allow him to take advantage of the Denver linebackers.
