Paul Sewald is locked in as the primary closer for the second-place Diamondbacks, who currently sit at 34-31 in the NL West. Over his last 30 days, Sewald has been outstanding, posting a microscopic 0.69 WHIP and a 3.53 ERA across 11 appearances. Despite bullpen injuries to depth options like A.J. Puk, Sewald's ninth-inning role remains entirely secure.

His recent dominance aligns with his stellar 0.81 WHIP over 21 innings this season, representing a massive bounce-back from a tough 2025 campaign.
