Best Fantasy Football FAAB Pickups Week 16
WR Joshua Palmer, Los Angeles Chargers
He missed time with an injury but returned this past week and had a solid game in the loss to the Raiders. He had a team-high 113 yards and a TD and should be the number-two WR in the offense for the remainder of the season (assuming Keenan Allen returns). Although it’s not Justin Herbert throwing him the football, his snap count alone makes him fantasy-relevant. 15-20% of your remaining money is a good number here.
WR Tyler Boyd, Cincinnati Bengals
This is mostly based on whether Ja'Marr Chase misses time or is on a limited snap count. Boyd would see a big uptick in his snap count and routes run and become fantasy-relevant in a Bengals offense that is flying high. There are still question marks about his value this week because Chase’s status is unknown, so keep your bid low in the 6-8% range.
WR Dontayvion Wicks, Green Bay Packers
Over the past five or six weeks, Wicks has seen more and more time on the field and seems to have a nice rapport with Jordan Love. Although the Packers lost to the Bucs last week, they’re still in the hunt for a playoff spot, and Wicks was the team's leading receiver in Week 15 with six catches for 97 yards. In your deepest formats, he is worth a shot for a small bid of 4-6% of your remaining budget.
WR Noah Brown, Houston Texans
Tank Dell is out for the season, Nico Collins is hurt and could miss more time, and suddenly, Brown has become an asset again. He was the Texans' leading receiver in Week 15 and found the end zone, too. Keep in mind he did that without C.J. Stroud at QB, so as long as Brown keeps seeing the field a lot due to injuries, he has value. 11-14% of your remaining FAAB is good here.
WR Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders
Tucker emerged suddenly in the Raiders blowout win over the Chargers last week. He caught only three passes, but he totaled 59 yards and 2 of the catches were for TDs. He was second on the team in receiving yards and should be considered in deep leagues, even if it’s just as some depth/insurance. Spend 3-6% of your remaining budget on him.
TE Tanner Hudson, Cincinnati Bengals
Hudson caught all five of his targets for 49 yards and has become a consistent contributor to the offense, albeit as the fourth option. As a WR, he would have little value, but as a TE, Hudson should be rostered in deep PPR formats. Spend 18-22% of your remaining FAAB.
