Patriots
Rhamondre Stevenson dominated the Pats’ backfield, playing 54 snaps and getting 23 of the 28 backfield touches. He wasn’t super efficient, but he’s at least the clear leader.
Antonio Gibson got the other five touches, but played just 13 snaps.
Jets
Breece Hall played 46 snaps to just 19 for Braelon Allen in week 8. Hall had 17 touches to 12 for Allen though.
Hall is the clear leader, but with Allen stealing so many touches, it lowers Hall’s fantasy ceiling.
Bills
James Cook played 42 snaps and got 20 touches in week 8. The Buffalo backfield belongs to him.
Ray Davis got six touches across 17 snaps, while Ty Johnson didn’t get a touch across 15 snaps.
Dolphins
De'Von Achane played 38 snaps to 30 for Raheem Mostert. Achane held a 16-10 advantage in touches, and both guys were good fantasy options. Jaylen Wright had just two touches across three snaps.
In the right matchups, Achane and Mostert are both good fantasy starting options.
Ravens
Derrick Henry played just one more snap than Justice Hill (35-34), but out-touched him 12-3. Henry remains a must-start player, while Hill is more a desperation play in deeper leagues.
Steelers
Najee Harris doubled up Jaylen Warren in touches (22-11) and got 13 more snaps, 39-26.
Harris is close to being a must-start option right now, while Warren is worth a look as a flex starter in standard leagues.
Bengals
Zack Moss played 30 snaps to 29 for Chase Brown, but it was Brown that held at 14-9 advantage in touches.
With the workload basically split, neither Cincy back is a great fantasy option. They are better deeper league options.
Browns
Nick Chubb got 16 touches across 42 snaps. D'Onta Foreman had five touches across 13 snaps, while Pierre Strong had a touch across 14 snaps. Jerome Ford missed the game with an injury.
Chubb is the Cleveland RB you want to be starting right now - the others are just there in case Chubb goes down with another injury.
Texans
Joe Mixon dominated the backfield, getting 29 touches across 54 snaps. He’s a must-start fantasy player.
Titans
Tyjae Spears missed another game, so Julius Chestnut backed up Tony Pollard.
Pollard had 23 touches across 62 snaps and is a good starting option until Spears is back.
Colts
Jonathan Taylor had 21 of the team’s 22 backfield touches and played 52 snaps in week 8. He’s a must-start fantasy player as well.
Jaguars
With Travis Etienne out again, Tank Bigsby was the clear lead back for Jacksonville. He had 20 touches across 38 snaps, and might retain the lead role even when Etienne comes back.
D'Ernest Johnson played 19 snaps and got two touches. His role could dry up when Etienne is ready to return.
Broncos
Javonte Williams didn’t produce much, but he was the team’s clear lead back in week 8. He had 21 touches across 42 snaps.
Jaleel McLaughlin had nine touches across 23 snaps and was more efficient, so his role could expand in the upcoming weeks. Audric Estime only played five snaps and got one touch, so he’s a ways off from being fantasy relevant.
Chiefs
Kareem Hunt played 42 snaps and got 22 touches. He’s the clear backfield leader with Isiah Pacheco still out.
Samaje Perine played 22 snaps, but only got two touches. Carson Steele had three touches across eight snaps. Neither are anything more than handcuffs, and they might not play at all when Pacheco returns.
Raiders
Alexander Mattison got 19 touches across 38 snaps, but didn’t do much with his looks. Ameer Abdullah and Zamir White got two touches across 17 and two snaps, respectively.
Mattison is the Raiders’ back you want, but unless he’s got a great matchup, he’s not a fantasy player you can have much confidence in.
Chargers
J.K. Dobbins played 54 snaps and got 21 touches. He’s the clear leader in LA and is a pretty solid starting option most weeks.
Kimani Vidal got six touches across 11 snaps, but is basically just a handcuff to Dobbins at this point.
Eagles
Saquon Barkley got 23 touches across 50 snaps and is another must-start fantasy player.
Kenneth Gainwell got five touches across nine snaps, and is another handcuff.
Cowboys
With Rico Dowdle out, Ezekiel Elliott got 11 touches across 28 snaps. Dalvin Cook had seven touches across 17 snaps.
This backfield is a disaster right now, and none are good starting options in standard leagues.
Giants
Tyrone Tracy got 22 touches to just four for Devin Singletary. Tracy led the way in snaps 41-28.
Tracy looks like the clear backfield leader, but he also suffered a concussion, so his status for week 9 is in question.
Commanders
Austin Ekeler led the backfield with 42 snaps played, but he got eight less touches than Brian Robinson. The top back recorded 17 touches across 35 snaps.
Robinson is the better starting option right now, but Ekeler also has some extra value in PPR leagues. Jeremy McNichols was a distant third option with a touch across five snaps and can be dropped in all formats again.
Vikings
Aaron Jones dominated the backfield, getting all 21 touches across 46 snaps. He’s a good starting option regardless of the defensive matchup.
Packers
Josh Jacobs got 26 touches across 45 snaps and remains a good weekly starting option.
Emanuel Wilson got six touches across 12 snaps, but might have been overtaken by Chris Brooks (five touches, 17 snaps) in the latter part of the game.
Bears
D'Andre Swift got 18 of the 20 backfield touches and played 46 snaps. He’s a good weekly starting option.
Roschon Johnson stole another touchdown from Swift, but only had two touches across 17 snaps. He’s just a handcuff to Swift
Lions
In a weird offensive game, Jahmyr Gibbs got 12 touches across 19 snaps. David Montgomery was at 10 touches across 23 snaps.
Both remain good starting options in all formats.
Falcons
Bijan Robinson played 20 more snaps (42-22) than Tyler Allgeier, but only finished with eight more touches (20-12).
Robinson is the better starting option, but his fantasy ceiling is limited with Allgeier hanging around.
Buccaneers
Rachaad White led the team with 41 snaps played, while Bucky Irving was at 31 and Sean Tucker just seven. Irving got 16 touches, while White was at 11 and Tucker only three.
Irving and White are both flex-level starting options until Mike Evans returns from his injury.
Panthers
Jonathon Brooks didn’t play again, and Chuba Hubbard led the Carolina backfield again. He had 17 touches across 45 snaps, while Miles Sanders got eight touches across 21 snaps.
When Brooks returns, the Panthers’ backfield is going to be a mess. We’ll cover things when that happens, so check back for that.
Saints
Alvin Kamara received 16 touches across his 40 offensive snaps. Kendre Miller had three touches across 10 snaps, while Jamaal Williams got two touches across 23 snaps.
Keep starting Kamara every week. Miller and Williams would only be fantasy assets if Kamara misses time.
Rams
Kyren Williams continues to dominate the Rams’ backfield. He got 28 touches across 64 snaps and needs to be starting every week.
Blake Corum got five touches across eight snaps, but is just a handcuff at this point.
Seahawks
Kenneth Walker played 28 snaps and got 13 touches. Zach Charbonnet went for six touches across 23 snaps.
This is still Walker’s backfield, but it’s worth watching in case Charbonnet keeps getting several touches per week.
49ers
Jordan Mason got injured, and that allowed Isaac Guerendo to star. Guerendo had 17 touches across 43 snaps.
This backfield could drastically change in week 10 if Christian McCaffrey is back on the field.
Cardinals
James Conner got 22 of the 23 backfield touches and played 53 snaps. He remains a good starting option every week.
Trey Benson and Emari Demercado are the backups should Conner ever miss time with an injury.
