Super Bowl DraftKings Total Yardage DFS Lineup: Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown and Xavier Worthy
Morgan puts together a three-player DraftKings lineup based around total yardage for the Super Bowl.
There’s a bunch of different ways to bet and have fun with the Super Bowl.
There’s standard DFS lineups, like I put together on Monday. There’s prop bets, like the FantasySP team covered a bit. And there’s even little contests that look at individual stats, like I’m going to go over today.
This free contest on DraftKings has fantasy owners choosing three players. The goal is to rack up the most total yardage (rushing and receiving yards). The only lineup requirement is that a player needs to be taken from two different teams. There are no salaries, meaning any running back, wide receiver or tight end can be chosen.
Let’s dive in!

1. Saquon Barkley
In a contest like this, you want to try and have as unique a lineup as you can, but I don’t know how you couldn’t have Barkley in your lineup.
Barkley had 2,283 scrimmage yards in the regular season, and has an additional 477 scrimmage yards in three postseason games. He could have had even more if a couple of the Eagles’ games had been a bit tighter.
Barkley is the best offensive fantasy player in the Super Bowl, and there’s no way I’m not utilizing him in a total yardage contest. He’s got a great chance of going over 100 scrimmage yards, and could reach the century mark with just a couple big plays.
The Chiefs’ defense is going to be a pretty stiff test for the running back, but Barkley has delivered against just about every defense this season. There’s no reason to shy away from him now.
2. A.J. Brown
After Barkley, there’s really no players that stand out as great fantasy assets. I decided to go with high-upside players, and Brown is one of those.
In 13 regular season games, Brown went for 1,079 scrimmage yards (all of that as a pass catcher). In three postseason contests, Brown has just 120 receiving yards, but 96 of those came in the NFC Championship Game, so Brown goes into the Super Bowl with some momentum.
The only thing that scares me a bit with Brown is that DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert are there to steal targets and yardage, and of course Barkley is likely to get a few looks in the passing game too.
I also have a hard time trusting Jalen Hurts as a passer. Brown's 24 combined receiving yards in the first two playoff games doesn’t ease my mind either.
But coming off a big game and being the team’s No. 1 wide receiver, I think you have to give Brown a chance in this kind of fantasy contest. He could put up big numbers on just a couple catches, and I think he’ll lead the Eagles in targets and catches as well, so even if he doesn’t make any big plays, the volume numbers will add up for him.
3. Xavier Worthy
The last slot is wide open for me, especially because I needed to take a player from the Chiefs. I decided to go with Worthy.
I landed on Worthy because of how the Chiefs’ offense likes to get him involved as a pass catcher and ball carrier. He has 59 catches and 20 rushing attempts this season.
Worthy had six touches in the first postseason game and then eight in the AFC Championship Game. He has at least six touches in six straight games.
After a couple weeks of preparation, I expect the Chiefs to get Worthy involved early and often, and volume numbers will result in a big total yardage showing from the rookie. He’s got the chance to break off a big play on any of his touches, and that is also enticing to me.
Other Options
I think Barkley needs to be in your lineup for this contest. The other two players are where you can have some variation.
Instead of Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert are the only other real options from the Eagles. It would take an injury to one of the Philly offensive stars for anyone else to produce a bunch of total yards.
There’s several other Kansas City players you could go with inside of Worthy, because the offense does not have a No. 1 option every week.
Travis Kelce is a good bet in big games. Kareem Hunt or Isiah Pacheco are capable of going off from the running back position. DeAndre Hopkins, Marquise Brown, Noah Gray, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Justin Watson are some other pass-catching options you could try.
If you want to get really wild, there’s Samaje Perine or Carson Steele. I think Worthy has the highest upside on KC though, because he can get yardage as a pass catcher and a runner.
What trio will you try out?
