Rangers 12, Athletics 11 (Game 1)

Jack Leiter started for Texas and allowed six runs (four earned) on seven hits and no walks over four innings. He struck out three along the way.

David Robertson earned his second win out of the bullpen, and Kirby Yates eventually picked up his seventh save despite allowing a run.

Osvaldo Bido took the loss after allowing four runs over 2 2/3 innings. He gave up three hits and two walks, while striking out four.

Angels 5, Pirates 4

Jose Soriano started for Los Angeles, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over 4 2/3 innings. He struck out six along the way. 

Adam Cimber got his third win out of the pen, while Carlos Estevez worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning to get his sixth save.

Martin Perez started for Pittsburgh, striking out five over five innings. He allowed four runs on eight hits and no walks. Luis L. Ortiz was charged with his second blown save and loss out of the pen.

Blue Jays 5, Phillies 3

Chris Bassitt improved to 3-5 after striking out six over 6 1/3 innings. He gave up two runs on three hits and two walks. Jordan Romano allowed a run in the ninth, but still was able to earn his fifth save.

Aaron Nola slipped to 4-2 after taking the loss. He surrendered four runs on nine hits. He struck out seven and walked none.

Guardians 5, Tigers 4 (10 inn.)

Tanner Bibee started for Cleveland, allowing four runs on five hits over four innings. He struck out five and walked none. Emmanuel Clase got his second win after tossing a 1-2-3 10th inning.

Reese Olson started and pitched well for Detroit. He allowed two runs (one earned) on one hit and two walks over six frames, while striking out four.

Andrew Chafin was charged with his second blown save of the season, while Alex Lange allowed the unearned run in the 10th that ended that game.

Royals 6, Brewers 4

Brady Singer moved to 2-1 after pitching the first 5 1/3 innings for Kansas City. He allowed a run on five hits and two walks, while striking out four. Singer has a 2.36 earned run average now.

James McArthur got the final two outs to pick up his eighth save of the season.

Joe Ross started and took the loss for Milwaukee. He gave up three runs on three hits and two walks over five innings, while striking out a pair.

Padres 3, Cubs 0

Dylan Cease moved to 5-2 after striking out 12 in seven scoreless innings. Cease allowed a hit and two walks, and will carry a 2.19 ERA into his next start.

Robert Suarez worked a 1-2-3 ninth inning to claim his 12th save already.

Hayden Wesneski took his first loss after giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out three batters in the contest.

Dodgers 3, Marlins 1

Gavin Stone improved to 3-1 after striking out four batters over seven innings. He allowed a run on six hits and no walks. Stone has a 3.55 ERA this season.

Daniel Hudson pitched the ninth and retired the three batters he faced to earn his second save. It appears the Dodgers might use a committee to close games until Evan Phillips returns.

Ryan Weathers fell to 2-4 after taking the loss, but pitched pretty well over six innings. He surrendered three runs on five hits and a walk, while striking out three.

Athletics 9, Rangers 4 (Game 2)

JP Sears improved to 3-2 after pitching 5 2/3 innings for Oakland. He allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk, while striking out three.

Michael Lorenzen slipped to 2-2 after giving up six runs in six innings of work. Lorenzen allowed nine hits and two walks, while striking out six batters.

Diamondbacks 4, Reds 3

Jordan Montgomery improved to 2-2 after pitching seven innings for Arizona. He gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out a pair.

Joe Mantiply got the final two outs to earn his first save of the season. Normal closer Paul Sewald was unavailable after just returning from the injured list.

Graham Ashcraft took the loss and fell to 3-2 for the season. He allowed three runs on six hits and three walks over five innings. Ashcraft struck out two batters, and has a 3.86 ERA for the season.

Orioles 7, Nationals 6 (12 inn.)

Kyle Bradish started for Baltimore, allowing a run on four hits and two walks over five innings, while striking out nine. His ERA is down to 1.86.

Keegan Akin was charged with a blown save, but Albert Suarez got his second win out of the pen. Jacob Webb earned his second save after Craig Kimbrel had already pitched. 

Washington’s Mitchell Parker allowed two runs on five hits and a walk over 5 2/3 innings, while striking out three. Jordan Weems eventually took the loss after allowing two runs in the 12th inning.

White Sox 4, Rays 1

Chris Flexen improved to 2-3 after pitching six strong innings for Chicago. He struck out eight and only allowed one run on three hits and a walk. Michael Kopech picked up his third save after working a scoreless ninth inning.

Aaron Civale fell to 2-3 after taking the loss. He allowed two runs on five hits and two walks, while striking out four over 4 2/3 innings.

Yankees 9, Astros 4

Carlos Rodon improved to 3-2 after striking out seven over 6 1/3 innings. He allowed two runs on seven hits, while not walking a batter.

Spencer Arrighetti dropped to 0-4 after allowing five runs on eight hits and three walks over five innings. He struck out four batters. Arrighetti has a 8.44 ERA so far this season.

Braves 5, Red Sox 0

Chris Sale moved his record to 5-1 after a dominant performance for Atlanta. Sale struck out 10 batters over six scoreless innings, allowing just six hits and one walk. He’s got a 2.95 ERA this season.

Nick Pivetta fell to 1-2 after allowing five runs on seven hits and a walk across four innings. He struck out only one batter, but still has a 3.60 ERA this season.

Twins 6, Mariners 3

Chris Paddack started and got the win for Minnesota, striking out 10 batters in 5 1/3 innings of work. He allowed a run on eight hits and one walk.

Jhoan Duran got his third save after working a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

George Kirby took the loss after giving up four runs on four hits and a walk in five innings. He struck out four along the way.

Giants 8, Rockies 6

Jordan Hicks improved to 3-1 after pitching the first five innings for San Francisco. He allowed three runs on seven hits and two walks, while striking out five. He has a 2.30 ERA for the season.

Peter Lambert took his second loss after surrendering seven runs on nine hits in just three innings of work. He struck out two and walked none.
