Top PrizePicks Props
Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers (25.5 Points)
AD is coming off a bad game and we expect him to bounce back in a big way. It’s not often he strings together two stinkers in a row, at least not from a statistical perspective. Prior to this last game, he had topped this mark in seven of his previous nine games. His average points per game on the month are above this as are his average points per game for the season. He has played the Suns once this season and he dropped 37 and 21 in 38 minutes. So while the matchup isn’t ideal against Phoenix, it’s hard to fear it after we already saw him dismantle them this season. Davis is making a conscious effort to step up as the superstar of this team and he will do just that in a must-win game for the Lakers.
The Pick: More than 25.5 Points
Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors (40.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists)
We love Steph in this one matched up against Kyrie Irving. Those two always put on a show against each other. This is also a mark Curry has been hitting with regularity. We have seen him top this line in six of his last eight and in one of the two he didn’t, he saw his minutes limited late because the game wasn’t close. His average for the season of these stats combined is 43.2, so for him not to hit he has to have a below-average night against a below-average defense. There is no reason to believe he won’t hit his target and we know he can because he’s played in Dallas once this year and his total for the combo stat was 42. We are riding with him tonight.
The Pick: More than 40.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee Bucks (49.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists)
Any time we see Giannis with the points + rebounds + assists bet and it’s under 50, we’re taking it. Especially when he’s up against one of the three worst teams in the league and the worst defense. He takes on the San Antonio Spurs who are allowing the most points per game, the second most assists per game, and the 10th most rebounds per game. The only fear here is that the Spurs fall so far behind that Giannis ends up sitting out most of the fourth quarter, but San Antonio has actually been putting up some points lately and could hang around. This number has lowered because he’s coming off back-to-back down games and you need to take advantage of that. Prior to his last two, he blew by this mark in three of four. This is the kind of game in which he could clear this bar by double digits.
The Pick: More than 49.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
Nikola Jokic, Denver Nuggets (0.5 3-PT Made)
Jokic has gone cold from the three-point line as of late, but we still have faith he can hit one in this game. We aren’t worried about the matchup or any in-depth numbers when it comes to such a low target at this one. Despite being bad from three this month, he’s still averaging 2.7 attempts from three per game with 1.0 made per game. We fully expect him to attempt at least two threes in this game and with a 39.4 shooting percentage from behind the arc we expect him to make one. There have been three games in the past two weeks when he’s attempted at least five threes, so it’s not like he never puts them up. All you need is one to drop. If you have the chance to win money from the reigning MVP who is 39.4% from three and you need is for him to hit one, you take that bet.
The Pick: More than 0.5 3-PT Made
DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls (1.5 Blocks + Steals)
This pick is easy money. DeRozan has had three steals in three straight games and multiple steals in six of his last eight. He has hit this mark in seven of his last eight and if you go back further 10 of his last 12. This month he is averaging 1.9 steals and 0.3 blocks per game. There is no reason to believe he won’t hit this number. It’s not like the matchup is overly tough. The Philadelphia 76ers are just slightly above average when it comes to allowing turnovers to their opponents and have been bad lately. Over their past three games, Philly is allowing the eighth most turnovers in the league at 14.7 per game. These teams just played on Monday and DeMar had three steals and a block. Look for him to clear this bar with ease.
The Pick: More than 1.5 Blocks + Steals
