Using Fantasy Basketball Projections to Determine Streaming Options: Spencer Dinwiddie, Bojan Bogdanovic, Ivica Zubac and More
Here are some waiver wire options who are projected for the most fantasy points for a limited week of action.
The NBA season is still on pause as the All-Star break continues, but games start back up Thursday, so it’s nearly time to lock back in.
In this article, I’ll use the FantasySP Projections to help identify some potential waiver wire adds for a short and sweet week of action.

Spencer Dinwiddie Fantasy Outlook
Dinwiddie is still getting acclimated to the ways of the Los Angeles Lakers, but the All-Star break probably helped that out quite a bit.
Through two games with the team, Dinwiddie has combined for 16 points, 11 assists, four steals and two rebounds across 59 minutes. He’s only attempted 12 shots, making half of them.
Those numbers shouldn’t blow you away, and because he’s come off the bench in both games, many fantasy owners want to write him off. His own percentage is 79 now after being pretty close to 100 most of the season.
Dinwiddie has three games scheduled over the rest of the week (Thursday through Sunday). Dinwiddie goes up against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, San Antonio Spurs on Friday and Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Not only does he have three games in which he can rack up fantasy points for you, but all three of those teams struggle to slow opposing guards. Maybe this is the little stretch that gets Dinwiddie going for the rest of the season as the Lakers look to make a playoff push.
Bojan Bogdanovic Fantasy Outlook
This one is a little tougher to sell, because Bogdanovic missed the last game for his new team, the New York Knicks. It didn’t sound like too serious of an injury, so I expect him to play after the All-Star break, but you’ll want to keep an eye on his status before proceeding.
Bogdanovic has also played two games with his new team, combining for 26 points, seven rebounds and one assist, steal and block across 56 minutes. He’s hit 10 of his 23 field goal attempts, but is just 3-of-11 from behind the 3-point line.
The Knicks only play twice this week. Bogdanovic and his team will face the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday and Boston Celtics on Saturday. The two matchups aren’t super favorable, but they also aren’t too tough, so Bogdanovic, who is owned in 75% of leagues right now, is a pretty decent streaming option for the short week.
Ivica Zubac Fantasy Outlook
Los Angeles Clippers’ Zubac, rostered in 82% of leagues, has three games scheduled this week.
Zubac missed a couple weeks in January and early February, but has played in four of the team’s past five games. The team played things pretty carefully with Zubac, keeping him around 20 minutes in the first four contests. He played nearly 28 minutes in the team’s last game before the break, tallying 13 points, 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals and blocks along the way.
For the season, Zubac averages 11.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and blocks and 0.2 steals across 26.5 minutes. Those numbers won’t wow you, but his consistent production in points and rebounds are things fantasy owners can take advantage of.
The Clippers take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, Memphis Grizzlies on Friday and Sacramento Kings on Sunday. All three of those teams are below average when it comes to slowing opposing big men, so maybe Zubac can provide some much-needed fantasy points for the rest of the week.
Wendell Carter Jr. Fantasy Outlook
Orlando Magic big man Carter, rostered in 69% of leagues, also has three games this week.
Carter has been pretty solid for the Magic since returning from a five-game absence in January. Over the past 16 games, Carter is averaging 14.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.4 blocks across 27.7 minutes. He’s scored in double figures in just three of the past six games though.
The Magic have the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, Detroit Pistons on Saturday and Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. While the Cavaliers are above average in slowing big men, the Pistons are one of the worst teams in the league, while the Hawks are just about league average. Maybe wait for the Cavs’ game to pass before adding Carter, although he had 10 points and nine boards the last time the teams met.
Caris LeVert Fantasy Outlook
The last guy I’d like to mention is Cleveland’s LeVert, who is owned in 62% of leagues and has three games this week.
Since late January, Levert has played 12 games, averaging 10.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks across 23.8 minutes. He’s struggled a touch of late, scoring in double figures just twice over the past five games.
The Cavs play the Magic on Thursday, 76ers on Friday and Washington Wizards on Sunday. The Magic are the best team in the league when it comes to slowing opposing forwards, while the 76ers are pretty average and the Wizards are among the worst in the league. LeVert is probably another guy you’d want to avoid adding until his second game this week.
