Morgan picks out a dynasty player from every Eastern Conference team that he likes going forward.

I want to start looking at dynasty basketball players a bit more going forward. In this short, two-part series, I’m going to identify one intriguing dynasty player from every NBA team.

These won’t necessarily be the top dynasty options, but instead maybe some lesser-known players to invest in early. We’ll begin with the Eastern Conference teams, going in order of the current standings.

Cavaliers - Evan Mobley

Mobley is already in his fourth NBA season, but is still just 23 years old. He’s one of the better fantasy players in the game, and is probably years away from reaching his peak and then falling off.

In 40 games and 30.1 minutes a game this season, Mobley is averaging 18.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.4 blocks. He’s shooting 56.7% from the floor, 40.5% from 3-point land and is 75.6% from the free-throw line.

Mobley is in the midst of his best season yet, and he’ll remain a good/great option for several more seasons. He can help you win now and for the long haul.

Celtics - Jordan Walsh

Boston is a veteran-led team, so it was hard to pinpoint a dynasty player to talk about. I decided on Walsh, who has played in 33 games, but made just one start and is averaging only eight minutes a game.

Walsh could have a much bigger role if he were on another team, but at just 20 years old, I think him learning from a contending team full of veterans might do wonders for his long-term value.

All it would take is an injury to a star player to get him more involved this season, or a trade to another team. Keep tabs on Walsh at least.

Knicks - Miles McBride

McBride is another player who could be starring if he were on a different team. He’s much more utilized than Walsh though, averaging 23.3 minutes over 37 games played (all off the bench).

He’s averaging 9.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks this season while shooting 41.8% overall, 36.8% from deep and 82.5% at the line.

It’d take an injury or trade for his role to increase, but at just 24 years old and showing plenty of potential, it seems like only a matter of time before McBride gets his big break.

Bucks - Andre Jackson Jr.

Jackson is already a starter, but he’s only averaging 17.5 minutes a game across 43 games overall (35 starts).

The 23-year-old is known more for his defense. He’s averaging 3.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.3 blocks.

Milwaukee doesn’t need him to be a scorer, but that might change in the coming years. Getting all this playing time now should do wonders for his confidence in the long haul. You can bet the Bucks will get Jackson to focus on his offensive game as the years roll along.

Pacers - Bennedict Mathurin

Mathurin slips under the radar because of Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner being on his team, but Mathurin is just 22 and looking like a player a team could build around in the long run.

He’s third on the team in scoring at 16.4 points a game. He also averages 5.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.4 blocks across 32.1 minutes in 44 games and 39 starts.

He’s probably rostered in every dynasty league out there, but his value is still probably low enough to go after in a trade if you are intrigued by Mathurin.

Heat - Kel'el Ware

Ware has been one of the biggest waiver wire targets over the past couple weeks, and his role and usage seems to continue to grow with each passing day.

In 30 games and four starts, Ware is averaging 8.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1 block, 0.5 assists and 0.6 steals across 16.8 minutes. He’s started and played over 30 minutes in three of the past four games, so you can see why he’s a hot waiver target.

Ware looks like Miami’s big man of the future, and is just 20 years old. I’d buy into him now before his value really explodes.

Magic - Tristan Da Silva

I could have chosen several players from the Magic, but I decided on Da Silva, a 23-year-old rookie who has taken on a larger role this season after the team was dealt a multitude of injuries.

In 44 games and 34 starts, Da Silva is averaging 8.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.2 blocks across 26.3 minutes. He performed well enough when the Magic were banged up that he’s retained a big role with the team now closer to full health.

He’s blocked by Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero, but Orlando seems to be determined to get Da Silva out there for 25+ minutes a night too. I like his long-term outlook.

Pistons - Jalen Duren

Duren has taken a bit of a step back in his third NBA season, but he’s still just 21 years old and delivers good averages for fantasy teams.

He’s averaging 10.1 points, 9.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.6 steals across 25.4 minutes in 43 games started this season. He’s shooting an absurd 69.6% from the floor.

Detroit added more talent this past offseason, so Duren’s role has shrunk a bit. I mention him because I think his value is down a bit, and he still has a bright future, so I’d be interested in buying low on him.

Hawks - Zaccharie Risacher

Risacher has been solid in his rookie season, but after the season-ending injury to Jalen Johnson, Risacher should be given the chance to really establish himself.

In 40 games (38 starts), the rookie is averaging 10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.5 blocks across 23.7 minutes. Expect all those averages to increase by the end of the season.

Buy stock in Risacher now, because I think his long-term value is about to soar.

Bulls - Matas Buzelis

Buzelis is another rookie who has done some solid things, but also hasn’t played a ton.

He’s averaging 5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 0.4 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.8 blocks across 12.9 minutes in 45 games, all off the bench.

The Bulls have been in trade talks, which could maybe open some more playing time for Buzelis. He’s only 20 years old, and in time should carve out a big role.

76ers - Jared McCain

It’s a shame McCain is out for the season, because he was off to a great start.

In 23 games (eight starts), McCain averaged 15.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 0.7 steals across 25.7 minutes.

He’ll be back and ready to star alongside Tyrese Maxey for the 2025-26 season. See if you can maybe buy low because of his injury.

Raptors - Gradey Dick

Dick has taken a big step forward this season, and at only 21 years old, his future looks very bright.

In 40 starts, Dick is averaging 15.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks.

He’s not much outside being a scorer, but he might become a 20-point scorer in time, and that’s enough to give him good dynasty value.

Nets - Noah Clowney

Clowney has taken on a larger role of late, although he was hurt in his last appearance.

In 37 games and 18 starts so far, Clowney is averaging 9.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.5 steals and blocks across 23.1 minutes.

He’s playing more and performing better of late, and his fantasy stock is rising as a result. He’s 20 years old and could become a good/great fantasy asset if he can keep building on his recent play.

Hornets - Moussa Diabate

The third-year player has taken on a bigger role this season and shown flashes of promise.

In 36 games and four starts, Diabate is averaging 3.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 steals and assists across 17.9 minutes.

It might not look like anything too special, but as just a 23-year-old and getting his first real extended action in the NBA, a breakout could come at any time.

Wizards - Bub Carrington

Carrington has surprised a lot of people in his rookie season and now looks to have a really bright future.

In 45 games and 34 starts, he’s averaging 8.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.2 blocks across 29.8 minutes.

There’s likely to be some ups and downs along the way, but Carrington is worth an add and holding for the long haul.
