February 21 Fantasy Basketball Waiver Wire Options and Thursday's Recap: Jeremy Sochan, Precious Achiuwa, Kyle Kuzma, Max Strus, Jabari Smith Jr. and More

Looking over some of the better fantasy basketball performances from February 20 to maybe identify some waiver wire options.

There was a nine-game slate of NBA games on Thursday, February 20. Let's go over the top fantasy performances from waiver wire options.

Spurs 120, Suns 109

We'll start with the Spurs, who played their first game without Victor Wembanyama - Wemby is out for the season.

Chris Paul, available in just 4% of fantasy leagues now, tallied 13 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and two steals across nearly 32 minutes of play.

Jeremy Sochan, up to 70% owned, posted 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 28 minutes off the bench. Bismack Biyombo (eight points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal) replaced Wemby in the starting lineup, but played just 16 minutes.

Royce O'Neale, rostered in 30% of leagues, tallied 27 points, six rebounds and three assists and steals across 35 minutes.

Bucks 116, Clippers 110

The Bucks played their first game without Bobby Portis, who was suspended 25 games.

Brook Lopez, available in about 5% of leagues, played 30 minutes, totaling 22 points, seven rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal.

Ben Simmons, rostered in 59% of leagues now, contributed six points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal and block in 20 minutes off the bench.

Kris Dunn, owned in 13% of leagues, started and played 30 minutes. He had five points and assists, seven rebounds, six steals and one block.

Bogdan Bogdanovic, owned in 36% of leagues, totaled 15 points, five assists and two rebounds and steals in 19 minutes off the bench.

Magic 114, Hawks 108

Cole Anthony, owned in 22% of leagues, started and played 31 minutes. He had 17 points, five rebounds, three assists and steals and one block.

Wendell Carter Jr., rostered in 33% of leagues, contributed nine points, 15 rebounds and one block across 32 minutes.

Anthony Black, owned in just 13% of leagues, finished with 10 points and two rebounds, steals and blocks across 15 minutes off the bench.

Goga Bitadze, rostered in 48% of leagues, also played 15 minutes off the bench, tallying six points and rebounds, two blocks and one steal and assist.

Zaccharie Risacher, owned in 39% of leagues, ended the night with 11 points, 12 rebounds and one steal, assist and block in 23 minutes played.

Cavaliers 110, Nets 97

All of the Cleveland players with at least 25 fantasy points are already rostered in every fantasy league.

Ziaire Williams, owned in just 11% of leagues, totaled 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists and steals and one block across 30 minutes.

Day'Ron Sharpe, rostered in 13% of leagues, ended the night with seven points, 10 rebounds, four blocks, three assists and one steal in 19 minutes off the bench.

Nicolas Claxton, available in about 8% of leagues, started and played 28 minutes, recording eight points, nine rebounds, four assists, three blocks and two steals.

Nuggets 129, Hornets 115

Aaron Gordon, available in about 36% of leagues, went for 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists across 32 minutes.

Julian Strawther, rostered in just 4% of leagues, tallied 16 points, four rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes off the bench.

Damion Baugh, owned in just 3% of leagues, played 31 minutes off the bench, recording 14 points, six assists and two steals.

Josh Green, rostered in 5% of leagues, started and played 27 minutes. He had 19 points, three rebounds, two assists and one steal.

Jusuf Nurkic, owned in 58% of leagues, contributed nine points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and one steal and block across just 18 minutes.

Pacers 127, Grizzlies 113

Bennedict Mathurin, available in 21% of leagues, finished with 16 points, four rebounds, two steals and one assist and block in 24 minutes off the bench.

T.J. McConnell, rostered in 24% of leagues, went for seven points and assists, two rebounds and one block in 15 minutes off the bench.

Andrew Nembhard, owned in 37% of leagues, played nearly 30 minutes, tallying 11 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Aaron Nesmith, rostered in just 8% of leagues, contributed 13 points, seven rebounds and one assists and block in 24 minutes.

Jaylen Wells, owned in 11% of leagues, totaled 17 points, four rebounds and one steal in 27 minutes.

Santi Aldama, available in 20% of leagues, finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal and block in 24 minutes off the bench.

Knicks 113, Bulls 111 (OT)

Miles McBride, rostered in 8% of leagues, went for 23 points, six rebounds and three assists, steals and block in 42 minutes.

Precious Achiuwa, owned in 41% of leagues, tallied 11 points, nine rebounds and three steals in 46 minutes.

Julian Phillips, barely owned in any leagues, had 12 points, six rebounds and one steal across 22 minutes off the bench.

Celtics 124, 76ers 104

Payton Pritchard, owned in 83% of leagues, posted 28 points and four assists in 31 minutes off the bench.

Luke Kornet, rostered in 3% of leagues, went for six points, seven rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal in 17 minutes off the bench.

All of the top performers for the Sixers are already owned in just about every league.

Lakers 110, Trail Blazers 102

Jaxson Hayes, owned in 45% of fantasy leagues, totaled nine points, seven rebounds, four assists and one block across 27 minutes.

Dorian Finney-Smith, up to 15% rostered, went for 10 points, six rebounds, two steals and one block in 33 minutes.

Robert Williams III, owned in 9% of leagues, had eight points, six rebounds, two steals and blocks and one assist in 25 minutes off the bench.

Deni Avdija, available in 13% of leagues, started and played 33 minutes. He tallied 28 points, four rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Toumani Camara, rostered in 61% of leagues, recorded 19 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists across 37 minutes.

Waiver Wire Options

Several players who we already discussed are on the waiver wire list here at FantasySP.

Sochan is the top pickup of the day, up 10.65%. He's one of six Spurs on the waiver list, and each one is a top-10 pickup at the time of publication.

Charles Bassey is up 9.71% and is rostered in 15.03% of leagues now. Sandro Mamukelashvili got added in 5.04% of leagues and is up to 7% overall now.

Stephon Castle is owned in 78.43% of leagues after a 3.92% increase. Keldon Johnson and Harrison Barnes are each up 3.08% - Johnson is rostered in 30.53% of leagues, while Barnes is owned in 44.26%.

Kyle Kuzma is the only Milwaukee player inside the top-25 pickups. He's up 2.24% and owned in 86.55% of leagues now.

Achiuwa is the No. 3 pickup, rising 5.33% today. Cleveland's Max Strus is up 3.64% and is rostered in 27.73% of leagues now.

Jabari Smith Jr. got added in 3.36% of leagues and is owned in 55.46% overall now. Teammate Tari Eason is rostered in 69.19% of leagues after a 1.96% bump.

Simmons is up 2.95% today, while Dunn got a 2.08% increase.

Khris Middleton (up 2.63%, 66.67% overall) and Bub Carrington (up 1.68%, 43.98% overall) are two Wizards on the list.

Black is up 2.25%, while Carter got a 2.24% bump for the Magic. Aldama is up 2.24% as well.

Quentin Grimes is up another 1.96% and sits at 48.46% overall now. Claxton is up 1.96%, while Sharpe is up 1.69%.

Jrue Holiday is another player up 1.96%, and he's rostered in 80.11% of leagues now. Clint Capela is up to 66.95% owned after a 1.96% increase.

Denver's Gordon (up 1.69%, 63.59% overall) and New Orleans' Jose Alvarado (up 1.68%, 57.42% overall) round out the top-25 list.
