Week 11 QB and TE Waiver Adds: Joshua Dobbs, Tyler Conklin, Michael Mayer, and More!
Happy Monday! We're done with more than half of the fantasy football regular season, and the fantasy playoffs are going to be here before we know it. Unless you're sitting at the bottom of your league, you still have a chance to get back in the game -- or hopefully expand your lead in the standings. And a big part of making up some ground is making sure you make the right waiver moves.
With running backs and wide receivers coming in a separate article, let's take a look at the quarterbacks and tight ends you should be scooping off the waiver wire for Week 11.

Quarterback
(ownership percentages are based on ESPN leagues)
Joshua Dobbs, Minnesota Vikings (38.9 percent)
Dobbs is way above my 25 percent threshold, but there just aren't any good waiver quarterbacks out there right now unless Sam Howell or Jordan Love are floating around out there. Dobbs has been an absolute beast over his last two games with the Vikings and sets up nicely as a potential top-10 quarterback for the rest of the season. It feels weird to type that Dobbs is likely going to be the one who keeps Justin Jefferson from hitting season-ending IR, but with the Vikings now in the playoff hunt -- that's where we find ourselves, my friends. Grab Dobbs if he's out there!
Jameis Winston, New Orleans Saints (0.2 percent)
It's unclear if Derek Carr will miss any time, but Winston will jump in as the Saints' starter if that happens and it's worth grabbing him as a speculative add if you're in a deeper league. While Winston is a turnover waiting to happen, he can also put up points in a hurry and the Saints have the Falcons and Lions as their next two opponents after their upcoming bye. I wouldn't break the bank to add Winston, but there isn't much else out there so he's worth a shot.
Will Grier/Bailey Zappe, New Englad Patriots (0.0 percent)
We're scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel here, but we've seen what what guys like Aiden O'Connell can (or moreso can't) do so let's see if we can find a diamong in the rough. I think Mac Jones has played his last snap for the Patriots this season and that means either Grier or Zappe are next man up. Zappe is the more likely fill-in, but the Patriots thought enough of him to cut him before the season so there's a chance they might see what they have with Grier after their upcoming bye. I don't think either of these guys are going to be a league-winner or anything like that, but it's worth taking a flier on one of them (I'd choose Grier) if you're in a superflex or really deep league.
Tight End
(ownership percentages are based on ESPN leagues)
Tyler Conklin, New York Jets (11.1 percent)
He isn't going to win any matchups for you, but he won't lose any either. With the Jets (strangely) giving Zach Wilson another vote of confidence on Monday, it looks like Conklin is going to stay fantasy-relevant as Wilson's security blanket. He's put up double-digit fantasy points in two straight games and has seen 13 total targets during that span. While the veteran has yet to score this season, he's a safe high-floor player you can plug into your lineup and there aren't many (any?) waiver tight ends you can say that about.
Michael Mayer, Las Vegas Raiders (3.3 percent)
Mayer still hasn't popped outside of two games this season, but one of those came this past week where he scored his first touchdown of the season. Mayer is a little risky as he only saw four total targets in his previous two games before Sunday, but I'm hoping the new regime is going to try to involve their rookie tight end more now that he's got a little momentum. While Conklin has a higher floor, Mayer has a higher ceiling and is the better swing-for-the-fences add.
Tanner Hudson, Cincinnati Bengals (0.1 percent)
It's worth noting that Tee Higgins missed Sunday's game, but it's also worth noting Hudson saw seven targets and has now seen 12 targets over his past two games. Hudson hadn't done much prior to the past two weeks as a practice squad player, but he's firmly on my watch list now that he's produced in two straight games. While he could be waiver wire fodder in a week, you can do a lot worse than Hudson as a speculative add.
