Week 14 Fantasy Football QB and TE Droppables: Should you drop Baker Mayfield, Kyle Pitts, and Logan Thomas?
A look at quarterbacks and tight ends to drop for Week 14
We're always looking to make moves in fantasy football, and this is going to be a weekly spot where we look at some of the most widely-dropped players across fantasy leagues and decide whether you should (or shouldn’t) cut bait with them – due to either underperformance, injury, or otherwise.
We covered waiver adds already, but in order to pick up someone, you have to drop someone. And that isn’t a decision you should take lightly. We’ve all made drops we’ve come to regret.
Let’s take a look at some of the most dropped quarterbacks and tight ends for Week 14 and decide if they’re actually drop-worthy.

Week 14 Fantasy Football Droppables
Baker Mayfield, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker has had a really solid season, but the wheels are starting to fall off. While he's QB16 on the year, he's scored less than 14 fantasy points in three straight games and has a tough schedule coming up with the Falcons, Packers, Jaguars, and Saints. Mayfield is a solid backup quarterback for bye weeks, but you can't use him as your week-to-week starter at this point. He has an interception in four straight games and hasn't topped 202 passing yards in either of his last two games. That's just not good enough. Thanks for getting us through the bye weeks, at least, Baker.
Verdict: Drop
Derek Carr, QB, New Orleans Saints
Carr is in a similar situation to Mayfield in that he's been solid at times this season, but has fallen off as of late. Part of that has been due to injuries (and he's currently dealing with a concussion), but part of that is that he's just not that good. He hasn't put up more than 10 fantasy points for three straight games (and only has one total touchdown pass in those games) and will now face solid Panthers, Giants, and Rams defenses. It was fun while it last way back in the middle of the season, but it's time to cut bait with Carr.
Verdict: Drop
Will Levis, QB, Tennessee Titans
Levis was a fun pickup earlier in the year, but he just hasn't lived up to his expectations unfortunately. While first game (26 fantasy poitns) was amazing, Levis hasn't topped 12 fantasy points since then and has only thrown three total touchdowns in his last five games. The Titans offense is part of the limiting factor here, but Levis doesn't run enough to make up for that and is a lead weight on fantasy rosters. While Levis is obviously worth keeping in superflex leagues and dynasty leagues, he just doesn' thave enough upside to use in normal fantasy leagues as we head into the fantasy playoffs.
Verdict: Drop
Kyle Pitts, TE, Atlanta Falcons
Could Kyle Pitts have a big game at some point? Sure, he's TE15 so it's not like he's horrible. However, he hasn't put up double-digit fantasy points since Week 6 (!!!) and has only found the end zone once all year. Is some of that Arthur Smith's fault? Yea, probably. But that doesn't make a difference in the box score and Pitts just isn't doing enough to warrant a roster spot or a weekly start at this point. He hasn't put up more than 56 receiving yards in a game since Week 5, and while he still saw eight targets last week, he's just not getting enough high-value usage to make a difference. I'm not saying you HAVE to drop Pitts, but he's really nothing more than a dart throw at this point.
Verdict: Drop
Logan Thomas, TE, Washington Commanders
I really like Thomas' upside and am glad he was able to stay healthy this season, but it's time to move on. He's TE14 on the year so it hasn't been an abysmal season for the veteran, but he hasn't put up double-digit fantasy points since Week 8 -- which is also the last time he scored a touchdown. He's only seen five total targets over his last two games and caught a grand total of zero passes for zero yards against the Dolphins last week. Like Pitts, you don't HAVE to cut Thomas, but he's really nothing more than a dart throw start at this point unfortunately.
Verdict: Drop
