Fantasy Football 2024 ADP Risers: Jordan Love, Kyren Williams, D.J. Moore, David Njoku and More
These stars had great 2023 campaigns that will cause their ADPs to skyrocket in 2024.
The fantasy season is over so now it's on to 2024. Mock drafts are already taking place. It was a great season for us, but it was even better for the players that we drafted. There are plenty of players who had an unexpectedly awesome year for whatever reason and it will cause their ADP to climb in 2024 from where it was in 2023. For the sake of this article, we will be excluding rookies.
Quarterbacks
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins
The narrative surrounding Tua entering the 2023 season was that he was too small, too fragile, and wouldn't be able to play a full season. In a year when only eight quarterbacks started all 18 games, he ended up being one of them. He also finished as a QB1 and led the league in passing while continuing to take massive steps forward in Mike McDaniel's offense. With Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the outside to throw to, his upside will be too huge to ignore. This season he was a bit too boom-or-bust and gave up a lot of TDs to his running backs, but it won't take much more than a little bit more familiarity in the offense and a big-bodied pass-catcher to push him up closer to a top-five fantasy option.
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
Love never felt like he was having a great year if he wasn't on your fantasy team, but he ended up finishing as the QB5 overall. The world just didn't seem to take notice until we were into the fantasy playoffs and NFL playoffs. After performing on the biggest stage, everyone is taking notice now. After being an afterthought entering 2023, he will be drafted as a QB1 when he heads into 2024.
Running Backs
Kyren Williams, Los Angeles Rams
Williams wasn't even the first Rams' running back drafted in 2023 and he ended up finishing as the RB4 overall despite not playing in five games. He finished as the RB2 overall in average fantasy points per game. Not only will he be drafted as an RB1, but there is a chance he will climb into the first round by the time we get to the summer. This was an incredible year for a guy who seemingly came out of nowhere, and now he's locked into an outstanding system with very little competition for touches as of now.
Raheem Mostert, Miami Dolphins
Mostert was another guy who was a throwaway pick in the later rounds that people took a flier on in 2023. Between Mostert, Jeff Wilson and rookie De'Von Achane they could have gone in any order depending on who you were drafting with. Mostert ended up rushing for over 1,000 yards and leading the league with 21 TDs. When the dust settled he finished as the RB2 overall in the league. The only thing that could hold his ADP back is the presumed ascension of Achane this summer. The rookie finished as the RB4 overall in points per game and was electric as they come this season.
Wide Receivers
D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears
Moore had been a very talented, but up-and-down player coming off a bad year in 2022. You could see the ability, however, the production was never consistent due to subpar quarterback play. He was traded to Chicago last offseason and we still weren't sure how good the quarterback play would be. While Justin Fields didn't suddenly become a fantastic passer, the connection between Moore and Fields was. He ended up catching 96 passes for 1,364 yards and scoring nine TDs. There is nowhere to go but up from here and his big spike games only make him a more tantalizing option in fantasy drafts.
Nico Collins, Houston Texans
Up until 2023, Collins had just been a guy. Often found on "sleepers" list, but rarely making much noise in fantasy circles. That changed this year in a major way with C.J. Stroud under center. Stroud is the assumed next great young quarterback after a tremendous rookie season and Collins is his WR1 or at worst his WR1b. Rookie Tank Dell also exploded onto the scene in 2023, nevertheless, he will be returning from a significant injury in 2024. Collins ultimately finished as the WR9 overall while falling just shy of 1,300 yards and grabbing eight TD passes in 16 games.
Tight Ends
David Njoku, Cleveland Browns
Njoku caught fire this season and dominated late in the year when fantasy owners needed him most. He's still just 27 and we've already heard the narrative that Travis Kelce's breakout year was at age 27 and Njoku could be on the same path. That's not to say we believe he's going to be the next Travis Kelce, nonetheless, if that line of thinking is already out there it's only going to gain steam as we get deeper into the offseason. After finishing as the TE5 in 2023, we wouldn't be shocked if he is drafted even higher than that in 2024.
