2024 NFL Mock Draft: Mark Morales-Smith's Final Mock
Mark Morales-Smith's final mock draft for the 2024 NFL Draft.
1) Chicago Bears (from Carolina) - QB Caleb Williams, USC
Williams to the Bears is already a foregone conclusion. The team has already begun installing an offense for him.
2) Washington Commanders - QB Jayden Daniels, LSU
Daniels graded out as our top quarterback in this draft and has recently started walking back rumors that he didn't want to play for the team. There is a good chance he knows this is where he'll land.
3) New England Patriots - QB Drake Maye, UNC
Maye has all the physical talent to become an elite NFL quarterback but will need to develop. The Pats are as good of an organization as any and a new regime may be just what he needs.
4) Arizona Cardinals - WR Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio St.
Harrison is the best player in this draft and exactly what the Cards need. They opt to draft him rather than trade back.
5) Minnesota Vikings (from Los Angeles) - QB J.J. McCarthy, Michigan
The Vikings make a desperation move trading both their firsts for a young quarterback who isn't worthy of this high of a pick.
6) New York Giants - WR Malik Nabers, LSU
The Giants missed out on the top four QBs so they will grab the next best weapon in this draft to help Daniel Jones in his last chance at success in New York.
7) Tennessee Titans - OT Taliese Fuaga, Oregon St.
The Titans line has fallen apart in recent years and they will need to protect their young QB if he has any chance at success.
8) Atlanta Falcons - EDGE Dallas Turner, Alabama
The Falcons have a glaring need at edge rusher and it's not often the top one drops this far. This is an easy decision.
9) Chicago Bears - OT Olumuyiwa Fashanu, Penn St.
The Bears are going to heavily invest in Williams and that starts with protecting him.
10) New York Jets - TE Brock Bowers, Georgia
This probably isn't the smartest pick by the Jets, but they are the Jets and will get Rodgers a weapon rather than protecting him.
11) Los Angeles Chargers (from Minnesota) - OT Joe Alt, Notre Dame
Harbaugh is going to want his first pick to be a big man in the trenches. Alt is the right fit for this team.
12) Denver Broncos - WR Rome Odunze, Washington
The Broncos offense needs a lot of help. There is a chance they make a run at trading up, but if they stay put a receiver makes a lot of sense here.
13) Las Vegas Raiders - OT JC Latham, Alabama
Vegas feels like they are forever rebuilding in an unwinnable division. The offensive line has to be addressed on a team with holes all over the place.
14) New Orleans Saints - OL Troy Fautanu, Washington
The Saints are a team dragging themselves up from cap hell and their rebuild will need a franchise offensive tackle to anchor their offense.
15) Indianapolis Colts - EDGE Jared Verse, Florida St.
The Colts are a solid but not great team from top to bottom. Their biggest need is a pass rush off the edge.
16) Seattle Seahawks - CB Quinyon Mitchell, Toledo
The Seahawks are one of the toughest teams to predict in this draft. We have them grabbing a top corner here to help their defense.
17) Jacksonville Jaguars - DT Byron Murphy, Texas
The Jags have to go defense here and a big man to clog up the middle could go a long way to getting them to where they want to be.
18) Cincinnati Bengals - CB Nate Wiggins, Clemson
The Bengals have been trying to solidify their corners and line for years now. Here we have them grabbing a corner.
19) Los Angeles Rams - EDGE Laiatu Latu, UCLA
The Rams could go a number of different directions, but they will need to find a way to generate a pass rush with Aaron Donald gone.
20) Pittsburgh Steelers - OL Jackson Powers-Johnson, Oregon
Steelers grab an interior offensive lineman to build back their once dominant line.
21) Miami Dolphins - OL Graham Barton, Duke
Miami is able to resist the allure of Xavier Worthy and continue to build their offensive line which has been a mess for the better part of a decade.
22) Philadelphia Eagles - CB Terrion Arnold, Alabama
The Eagles need to address their corners and they do it here.
23) Los Angeles Chargers (from Cleveland through Houston and Minnesota) - WR Brian Thomas, LSU
LA needs a receiver perhaps more than any other team in the league. Trading back allows they to address this need without using a premier pick on one.
24) Dallas Cowboys - OT Amarius Mims, Georgia
The Cowboys line has aged out and moved on. They are still solid but need a little retooling.
25) Green Bay Packers - CB Cooper DeJean, Iowa
With questions surrounding Jaire Alexander in Green Bay, they will look to find a new elite CB1.
26) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - OT Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma
The Bucs line has been brutal for a few years now and it has to be addressed.
27) Arizona Cardinals (from Houston) - DT Jer'Zhan Newton, Illinois
The Cardinals added a huge piece to their offense; now they add a huge piece to their defense.
28) Buffalo Bills - CB Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama
The Bills secondary has taken a major hit over the past few seasons. They can go corner or receiver here and we have them going corner.
29) Detroit Lions - EDGE Chop Robinson, Penn St.
The Lions are a strong team who don't need a whole lot. They are grabbing an edge rusher here to throw even more at opposing quarterbacks.
30) Baltimore Ravens - WR Xavier Worthy, Texas
The Ravens still need more help at the wideout position. Something this franchise has never quite gotten right. Worthy's speed is going to sneak him into the first round.
31) San Francisco 49ers - OT Jordan Morgan, Arizona
The Niners have the best roster in the NFL. They will continue to build their o-line to maintain success long term.
32) Kansas City Chiefs - CB Ennis Rakestraw Jr., Missouri
The Chiefs need help at corner after losing one of the best in the league this offseason. Rakestraw will be the guy they build this secondary around moving forward.
