Top Tacklers
A bunch of players finished with double-digit tackles this week.
Los Angeles Chargers’ Daiyan Henley and Tennessee's Jack Gibbens both had 14 total tackles.
Henley posted a double-digit tackle total for the second straight week, and has now hit the mark three times this season. He also has four passes defensed this season, and with 68 total tackles, is a solid IDP option.
Gibbens had a half-sack among his 14 tackles this week. He only had 15 tackles across seven games coming in, but had eight a week ago. Gibbens is trending up and should get plenty of waiver wire love after his week 9 showing.
Atlanta’s Kaden Elliss, Las Vegas’ Tre'von Moehrig, Washington’s Jeremy Chinn and Detroit’s Jack Campbell all had 13 tackles.
Elliss has gone over 10 tackles in three straight games and added a sack for the first time this season on Sunday. He’s a good IDP option in all setups.
Moehrig had a half-sack among his 13 tackles. He’s up to 65 tackles, four passes defensed and two interceptions, which is good IDP production out of a defensive back.
Chinn had a pass defensed along with all his tackles. He reached double figures in tackles for the second time and has 54 now on the season. That makes him a solid deep league IDP option, but he hasn’t been consistent enough to roster in more leagues.
Campbell reached double digits in tackles for a second straight week. He’s had seven or more tackles in five straight and will be owned/started in more leagues with each passing week.
Arizona’s Budda Baker, Indianapolis’ E.J. Speed, Carolina’s Demani Richardson, Green Bay’s Quay Walker and Buffalo’s Dorian Williams all tallied 12 tackles.
Baker has back-to-back 12-tackle performances, and now four double-digit outings on the season. He has 91 tackles overall, and needs to be in just about every IDP lineup.
Speed reached double figures for tackles for the second straight game and sixth time in eight games overall. He’s got 82 for the season and is another guy who needs to be in just about every IDP starting lineup.
Richardson added a pass defensed to his big tackle total. He had 11 tackles in week 8 and now is going to be a big-time waiver addition. That’s fantastic production out of a secondary player and makes him a possible starter in a bunch of leagues for next week and beyond.
Walker returned from a concussion and got into double figures for tackles for the third time this season. He has at least six tackles in the games he’s played most of, and is another pretty solid weekly IDP option.
Williams posted his sixth double-digit tackle total this season. He’s yet another that should be in IDP lineups weekly.
Los Angeles Rams’ Christian Rozeboom, New England’s Jahlani Tavai and New York Giants’ Micah McFadden finished with 11 tackles each.
Rozeboom got into double figures for the third time this season, but also has at least six tackles in all but one showing this year. He’s not as locked into the starting lineup as the others we’ve mentioned, but he’s a good deep-league option, who also could be a more standard league IDP option in a pinch.
Tavai added a pass defensed and interception to his 11 tackles. He’s had at least six tackles in four straight games and has 59 overall this season. Don’t expect interceptions all that often, but the tackle total is enough to play him in a decent amount of IDP leagues.
McFadden got into double digits for tackles for the first time since week 1. He’s got that kind of upside, but until he shows it more often, he’s only going to be started in deeper IDP leagues.
Buffalo’s Damar Hamlin and Taylor Rapp, Philadelphia’s Zack Baun, Indianapolis’ Nick Cross, Baltimore’s Kyle Hamilton, Miami’s Anthony Walker Jr. and Atlanta’s Nate Landman all recorded 10 total tackles.
Hamlin has 57 tackles now on the season, along with two double-digit tackle outings. He’s also got decent weekly upside, but is a more confident start in deeper formats.
Baun went over 10 tackles for the fourth time this season and second straight game. He also picked off a pass and had two passes defensed on Sunday. Baun’s splash plays along with the high tackle potential make him a good weekly IDP option.
Cross had an interception and pass defended along with his 10 tackles. With 86 tackles, two picks, a forced fumble and three passes defensed this season, Cross has emerged as one of the better IDP secondary fantasy players.
Hamilton is up there too, and had a pass defensed on Sunday to go along with his tackles. He’s gone over 10 tackles in three straight games and remains a great starting option in most IDP setups.
Rapp topped 10 tackles for the first time this season. He has 43 tackles overall, showing this was more of an outlier, but he has gone for at least five tackles in four straight. That makes him a solid option in deeper IDPs.
Walker broke out this week, after having just 17 tackles coming into the contest. He’ll get some deep-league waiver action and needs to be watched closely moving forward to see if he can keep this level of play up.
Landman is now up to 36 tackles across four games played this season. He might be sneaking under the radar of fantasy owners because he missed time earlier this season, but there’s some decent IDP fantasy value with him.
Other Standouts
Cincinnati’s Trey Hendrickson had four sacks, a pass defensed and a forced fumble on Sunday. He’s now got eight sacks over the past three games and 11 overall on the season. Hendrickson is not going to post a ton of tackles, but the sack potential makes him a good fantasy option in most IDP leagues.
Cleveland’s Myles Garrett had three sacks across his five tackles. It was his first sacks in five weeks, and maybe it gets him going again as a good IDP option.
Chargers’ Tuli Tuipulotu had 2.5 sacks across his six total tackles on Sunday. He also had a sack last week, so he’s surging upward right now. He’s worth a look in some deeper IDP leagues.
Dallas’ Eric Kendricks had nine tackles and a forced fumble this week. He’s had at least eight tackles in every game he’s played this season, which makes him a good weekly starting option, especially with some splash plays thrown in.
Tennessee’s Amani Hooker had five tackles and two interceptions this week. Hooker had three picks and 40 tackles on the season, along with seven passes defensed, so in leagues where cornerbacks are rewarded well, Hooker is a solid option. Don’t expect these kinds of results often though.
Rams’ Kamren Kinchens had three tackles, two interceptions and a fumble recovery on Sunday. He returned one of the picks for a score. Kinchens only has 17 tackles, the two picks and the fumble recovery on the season, so this looks like an outlier game, but he’ll still get some deep-league waiver love.
